This is spectacular isn’t it? I’ve had this on my playlist for months. How he flows from ‘A Question of U’ into ‘The One’ so seamlessly and also incorporating ‘Falling’ is genius. His vocals, so soulful and passionate. You are right, he is singing with the guitar. ‘A Question of U’ is a song about a relationship that’s causing him confusion, and the guitar echoes this confusion and even frustration! Fabulous! The ‘The One’ is outstanding, one of my favourite songs of his! Declaring his absolute love, what he stands for and what he doesn’t to his woman! Fabulous lyrics. His whole body language is all man! Testosterone fuelled! Truly awesome. And props also to saxophonist Candy Dulfer for her vocal prowess too. This whole performance is a journey, a story! Just outstanding 💜💜💜 For me, Prince is the greatest of all time, and always will be! For musicianship and virtuosity he cannot be matched. For his performances also! For always being a true artist and authentically himself, and being an all round glorious human being! Miss him so much it still hurts 😢💜🥺

There is no argument on this planet that can make MJ the greatest, not one. MJ was a star from childhood that is why his following was the greatest but not his talents. He could sing, he could dance..what else? He and Prince no comparison, not even close. Prince was a master musician.
thats the answer. It s prince 1000 times MJ cause Prince reached that level with out knowing him mostly ay theat tme as well known MJ was, since a child by Jacksons 5 in publicity . So its Prince all the way to reach that level. The guitar talks. Its Prince its your argument turned against your statement as there is no comparison to their music. MJ never reached that mature level cause he never praised his band cause they owned him. Prince owned his band as the musician that showed what to do. MJ relied on his band, but for Prince it was the other way around in lives as he mastered the music he created. This is way more difficult.
From the Jackson 5 to the off the wall album Mj was the guy. But for me as a teenager in the early 80s onwards prince just made more sense 🎉❤

True. But Prince is the closest to the title " By All Objective Standards". He checks the most boxes and invented some himself. Once saw him put the mic between both legs, fall into the splits and popped up guitar in hands playing a solo lol.
I saw Prince in concert San Diego Ca and Once at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood Ca. He was a greatest concert ive seen .. Amazing talent.

Love it! 🔥 That's Candy Dulfer on the female vocals. She's an alto saxophonist. That sparkly thing around her neck was her sax neck strap. Lol. The second song Prince sings is called "The One." There's a live recording on spotify of both of these songs together from the Indigo Nights album from 2007. Also, the music video for The One is fantastic. 💜
One of my absolute favourite songs of his! Especially watching this performance, actually love this whole concert. I feel his music so much it just brings tears to my eyes. Like you said, the GOAT debate is so subjective. One thing I will guarantee is that anybody considered the greatest ever on guitar will tell you Prince is one HELL of a player! Let anybody that ever played on the highest level hear Prince's playing, they will no doubt say he is to be feared. Shoot, only Jimi and Stevie Ray Vaughan have swag on this level. Prince is that dude!

I was never into his music when I was young and he first burst on to the seen in the mid 80s but over the years, in particular the last decade, his music has grown on me.
Their is a defenitly bit of Hendrix flavour to his lead guitar solos that Hendrix would've of been proud of.
