There were four of us at first base, and the late afternoon sun was always RIGHT behind third base, completely blinding us from any incoming throw from 3B/SS. One of our heavier first basemen’s turn came up against the shortstop who threw about 94, and all he could was squint and shrug right before the ball nailed him in the belly. It left about a basketball sized bruise
