I feel bad for saying this, but I just...I like genuine grumps. As in. Not just these kind of episodes where they can talk normally. But also the episodes of gameplay where you know that they're having genuine fun and it's not being played up for the...well, I wanted to say "camera", but microphone is more accurate. XD

I feel like you guys not being structured in a podcast made this a lot better than if was structured
That was the main thing I didn't like about The G Club. It was so unnatural. the atmosphere was never there like this or Sleepycast or The Snark Tank
I love when arin coughs and says "I have tickets"
This would be a great podcast even after the isolation is lifted

I got into Morrowind in large part thanks to Dan’s stories about it. I love it dearly and I’ll always love it for how it helped me with my own life. That said, Morrowind doesn’t really strike me as a good let’s-play game. You really need to play it yourself or have played it to enjoy it to the fullest imo.

I've been wanting a grumps podcast forever. I honestly offted don't watching the gameplay and just listen to it like a podcast. But that depends on the game.
I think the mindset was that game grumps was supposed to be used as a kind of podcast format already, since arin said that he did want to make a podcast instead of let's plays at first.

I am now 24, and hearing Dan talk about what his life was like at this age really put things into perspective. Also gives some more hope, given all that he accomplished. I'm so proud of him! And Arin too!
24 is just generally a stressful age. It's when most of your bigger decisions need to be made. I'm 29 and often look back. When I was 24 I hated my job and was in a state of depression for nearly the whole year. It's also about the time I started making more friends. Took me a while to really appreciate what I had and really pushed me to push myself even further. Now I have a job I love and work very short days. Any stress you might have now will be gone soon. You got it.
Yeah, I'm 24 as well and making some crazy intense decisions right now, so it's wild and reassuring to hear about the stress of this time from somebody who made it. 😊

I am 30 now in the 6 year span I got married had two kids and bought a house so 24 is just the start
I’m 23 and frankly, the early 20’s have been a bit whack so far with moments of brevity and sunshine. Trying to wrap up undergrad and start that chapter of my life. There is a lot of growth and metamorphosis at this point. Really feeling through life and trying to decide what you want to do and if it’s worth it. I think if you stick to your guns and listen to your heart, things’ll be ok. We only got one go round after all. Just trying to make the best of what you got given the circumstances.

i really appreciate these more grounded sides of Dan and Arin. the "characters" of the grumps are more tuned down. gives a whole new dimension to their content ❤
Saw the thumbnail and I was like "who are these people?" Figured it out eventually.
I love how it is not only a static image on the screen, those small animations like that of the dinosaurs are very cute.
Fun fact, a lot of Baby Yoda was CG, specifically every time you see him walk independently, but he was animated in such a way to resemble a puppet, because the internal consistency of the way he moves superceded the desire to look as realistic as possible
Major benefit then that young babies look kinda puppet-like when they try to move around. All wobbly and shit.

Oo I hope Dan talks about his career courses he took when he was 24 at some point in the future. I'm 25 and I feel like I'm in a similar situation. I hate my job I want to quit but I have no idea I how to get where I want to in life. I also don't want to waste my time on self-help books that are just money grabs and don't actually help. I wonder if he took courses at an actual school or if he took an online course somewhere. I would love to take something like that right now.

Half of the Baby Yoda shots are CGI, but they're animated to look like a puppet. Most scenes are animated as well, but placed on an actual LCD 360 degree scene that projects depth.
It's so cool to me that the CGI can create worlds that seem real by making them look LESS real. As Corridor Crew says it, puppets aren't alive but they're real, and that's enough for most audiences!

That's just it, though, they're not making them look "less real." Things aren't super shiny and perfect in real life. There are imperfections in life. So you have to make things look imperfect in order to make them seem real. So taking away that robotic, soulless, lifeless perfection makes it look more real because it naturally IS more real.

I honestly love this. It feels like I can just listen to y'all having a conversation without having to worry I'm missing something on the screen. I actually found myself nodding and responding "oh yeah, totally" as if I was part of the conversation.

This is one of my favourite things that has ever happened involving you two. Podcasts aren't always my thing, but I watch Game Grumps so often whether with my full attention, or in the background of whatever game I'm playing. This is essentially the next level of that, an actual podcast without a game in focus, and I really love it. I'm rambling, love you guys!
Man, I thought I was a slow reader, but Dan is still slogging his way through Moby Dick. Granted, he's a very busy bee...and I do stuff too...but it still makes me feel better.

Tonight I basically quoted Arin at "around the 50 minute mark" without even remembering the source. Thanks for doing your part to help manage anxiety for your listeners and apparently my clients. Love this. It's amazing to be able to listen to the Grumps talk without being distracted by games. Don't get me wrong, gameplays have their own magic, but when they get deep, it's easy to get sidetracked by the game. For me, it's always been about the conversations, and gameplay was just a fun vessel to do that. If the Grumps enjoyed this, I suggest they do this again!
Listening to this in mid-October and it still hits hard. I sincerely appreciate all you folks put out, both the Grumps and the folks behind the scenes. You help us through some really rough times, and I hope you're doing well.

Neeeeed more of these. I have been a fan for a long time, and I constantly listen to compilations to both go to sleep and focus enough to get things done around the house. Not many other content creators spike my interest so listening to this while I draw or clean around the house or play games is super fun for me. :)

I really really appreciated you guys calling it the backstreet boys reunion tour because at that time, i was incredible anxious to the point of anxiety attacks about the virus. your videos have always been a calming thing for me so hearing you guys not really say the word was a small comfort. since then my boyfriend and his family have gotten the virus and are now healthy as can be so my anxiety was for good reason, but yeah thank you guys I really appreciate you
