My dad won a tv at a work raffle and he asked for my help putting it on its stand. He asked me to just hold the tv and he kept yelling at me telling me I was holding it wrong (i was not moving after he told me how to hold it) and after some more fighting I let go of the tv, it fell in the floor (I was 13 and small, it was fine) and I yelled at him "do you want my help or do you want my help?" And then I walked away. Believe it or not I'm my dads favorite. We're both stubborn assholes who love being right.
Didn't ever properly have a dad, but that comment about sums up my relationship with my mother. In fact I recall that exact scenario happening many times growing up. Ah... childhood trauma at it's finest.

You think it's wood Ikea uses in furniture like this? HAH! Yea ok they use woodchips and glue and compress it into planks and then machine and cut them. It's basically the worst amd cheapest way to make wooden furniture. Exception being if you're a semi capable carpenter with some hand tools and ready lumber you made yourself from your own forest. Sure it takes a couple of years, but at least it's not made of wood chips and glue.
I've never seen or heard of IKEA before this........

I work with these kinds of furniture. Its not as complicated once you have cleaned the working place and sorted the parts. They do however, take an eternity to put together. Especially alone. I sometimes spend a full working day to finish one. But im never struggling with it. Its just time consuming.
Also they only put together like, a quarter of it. Makes their feeling of triumph at the end even funnier
@@SlippyJos yeah i put up an IKEA entertainment unit and as you rightly said is that it's just time consuming. They always suggest 2 people to do them but i manage to do them solo... although it's a pain in the backside lol.
