I found it very funny that at 27:53 the butterflies covering the stumps doesn't even prevent you from see what ones are which.
That's definitely a benefit from emulating the game - at the original resolution on a cheap CRT you'd have a much harder time telling the difference

My hazy understanding is that Koopa's prediction takes bonus stars into account. At the time of the prediction, DK was heavily in advance for the coin and minigame stars, until Dan suddenly got a massive windfall from chance time.

The frustrating thing about Mario Party is watching Dan make a bad decision, screaming at him to stop, and then remembering the episode was recorded 3 months ago and he’s gone on with his life since then 😅
We have this idea that they held on to this frustration, when in reality they just go back to their wives and say "work was fun today, we played Mario Party"

The sheer amount of nostalgia I felt last episode when I heard them talking about the Konkey Dong lyric from Luigi's Ballad. That was my introduction to game grumps back in 2015 and it's hilarious to think that their humor hasn't changed at all since then 😂😂❤

Game Gyaru needs to be a show. Better animation then that recent TMNT. I personally think Arin and Dan should be the voices. Their normal voices as the base always branches into untold silly possibilities.

Y'all 100% got better at the minigames!! MP1 is stupid hard for 1st time players and extremely unforgiving. lol My favorite thing about Mario Party in general is how much just luck plays into it. Dan had 0% luck in the beginning and then got Makoto level luck at the end. Holy shit.

This was by far my most favorite mario party game. The brutality and roller coaster of emotions is what makes it so great. They're right, once you get good at it and bring your friends over to play it and dominate them, that's an elite moment 😂

I'd love to see them play again on either Luigi's Engine Room or Eternal Star, they're pretty wacky boards that'll kick your shins in and steal your dog.
If you want to Mario party 1 into a easier game just shift the control over a character from a player to a conputer and then reverse with a computer when it is their turn and just make bad moves with them, and after you shift the controls back. That is what my friends did when we was playing Mario Party back then.
