I am not a qigong teacher, but I have been doing different mind-body practices including Qigong for a long time. Before watching your video and reading the title, my first thought was " talking too much". When they talk a lot, they are not usually that in tune with their own breath. I have seen this in meditation and yoga teachers too. I love your videos because you are so present and your talking is all channeled out of the present moment(not your mind). We feel it. 🙏🙏
Awesome feedback! So funny you guessed it 😂
Thank you, Nick, you are a wonderful teacher🙏
Thanks , Nick
Great advice. I just started your teacher training and will definitely keep that advice in mind ❤️
Thank you Nick this was very helpful. Was tripping over this very thing, thanks for the tips.
I love your videos just for the reasons you talked about, especially no music, less words, and nature natural sounds.
I just finished your 'six sounds' video and I loved how you talked through each move a couple times BEFORE instructing to add the breath. Then, my second video of yours I choose this one! New fan, thank you!🤩
I've always noticed this about your teaching and it's so helpful as a student (Lee does it too) thanks Nick
Thank you!! I have been thinking about this. Great tip, thank you! 🙏🌻
So nice to hear you talking about breathing in through the nose and out through the nose.😊
Hello from Belgium. What i say to my students is :"It's like when you are cooking, you don't put all the ingredients in the pan at the same time. First the oil then the meat (or vegetables) then the salt and then and then." Thank you for this. Take care
Love it!
I noticed this about your teaching and thats why I love it ❤️
Great tips, thank you! 🙏
Hilarious! 😆Such a true beginner mistake! And what a beautifully organized explanation.
Such great tip, thank you Nick!
I have just signed up to you teacher training program, looking forward to it!
Nice, can’t wait to meet ya!
Having just completed your teacher training this was a great review of this component. Every time I watch one of your youtube videos I learn something new or refine something old. I am so grateful for all the work you put into your content. Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks Kate!
Great reminder . Thank you You’ve been a great mentor for me since my “one-on-ones” with you during my Holden teacher training 😊
Thanks Patty!
Love it!! Thanks for the valuable tips. Brings me back to the karate days- my Sensei followed the same order when teaching katas.
That is awesome!
Thank you for this bit of info. I have been using you as a model for my teaching even before taking your Teacher Training. I tend to follow the demo without breathing, add breathing after a repetition or two, then silent performance for the remainder of the posture.
Nice 👍
LOL - I often make the same mistake. I almost passed out doing this time. hahahahaha. Love the reminder. Thank you!
I love that you stop talking because it gives me time to focus on myself rather than processing what you're saying.
So true! I've both experienced this as a student and done it as a teacher, though I try not to. I loved the part about thinking about it as a hypnotist for bringing in the more spiritual layers of suggestion. Great tips! 😊
Thank you so much for sharing this useful advice!!!
Good point!
Thanks, much better.
Been there Nick. Keep up the excellent work.
Great tips!
Yoga teachers do this too! Breath cueing is a key aspect that doesn't get talked about enough - thanks for clarifying!
SO helpful, thanks so much Nick. I'm a new yoga teacher and this is so helpful for yoga too! You're so generous with your content, thank you 🙏🌟
That’s great to hear it crosses over!
Thanks Nick - as soon as you pointed it out I started laughing + nodding. I'm trained in movement for those with concussion + head injuries + this exact teaching point is so helpful - do the body mechanics first, get that ingrained, then go with breath on the second or third round. Awesome tip 💛
Thanks Morgan!
Thank you for bringing up the breath cueing. Wonderful Tip!!
I am looking forward to being in your Fall 2023 Teacher Training. The caption on the video has helped me a lot to understand the instruction you've given. When I was vlogging for the deaf community, I usually provide instruction on either the right or left side of the video in American Sign Language while the practice was on the other side without signing. Most deaf people loved it that way with a better visual presentation.
You won't be disappointed with the teacher training. Best money I have ever spent on myself!
Aw that’s so nice, thanks Kate.
To avoid this and help students to absorb more, show first round without students participating. Watching and not moving first step in learning. Then they try and that's when you guide the breathing.
yes i was allways wondering about it
Phew ! Thankfully I’ve adopted this cueing as I noticed the same having taken so many classes … do you do any mentoring nick ?
Ya I do 1-1s on Zoom. Email support@nickloffree.com
Thank so much for this video, its a very good and honesty video,i subscribe your chanel😃😃😃✌️✌️✌️.One small question do we should always inhale by the nose and exhale by the mouth??or the breath it depends of the exercices (i always have this doubt!!!!)thanks and a big hello from Portugal
When in doubt - In the nose and out the nose. Breathing out the mouth is generally the exception in Qigong, typically used during exercises meant to purge stagnant Chi. Thanks for subscribing!
@@TheNickLoffree thanks very much✌️
Haha yes Nick I have seen you do this on some of your old videos. But still far less then many teachers.
Ha i was wondering if I ever did this
@@TheNickLoffree In some patreon replays. But you're still the best. So forgiven 😉
