    Thankyou so much for this video. Our last length of pipe fell down our bore hole on our windmill and your video saved the day. We’ve been able to retrieve it and have water at the house again. Thanks from Jimbour Australia!

    Thank you so much for this idea, I had a pvc hand pump in my 60ft well, and I was going to remove it to put in a pump I bought, while removing the pvc pump it snapped and fell to the bottom, I looked online to see what other people did, came across a forum and someone had dropped their pipe w/ pump down in a 300ft well and was looking for answers and they ultimately got it out with the help from a neighbor who made something, but the stingy person didn't want to tell what it was and was talking about patenting the thing.. Apparently they would rather make a buck than to help others who had the same problem.. Thank you for posting this and trying to help people out of the goodness of your heart.

    This saved me today, thank you! Amazing idea! You should make these and sell them. One tool I found online was $800, and I think your design would actually work better.

    My well point broke off and fell down the well. I tried your ideal and it worked great. Three thumbs up. Probably saved me a bunch of money.

    i know this is an old video ?, but i just wanted to thank you very...VERY much for postig this '' how too do '' video !..thank you so much !. i have a busted off drop pipe down in my well right now, i watched this video, and liked the idea versus paying 700 bucks for a tool called '' fetch it '' ?, really...700 bucks ??..no thanks !. back to your tool, loved the concept, but this version of your tool is only good if you have a large well casing ?, in my issue, my casing is only 2 od ?, sooo..with your idea..and me making a smaller version to drop down inside a 2 inch od drop pipe ?, i tested the tool on a section of pipe i had laying around ( same drop pipe that is down in my well ), took me a few trial and errors to get the tool to work like you showed in this video ?..but low an behold...IT WORKS !!!. so now i will get to try it out on the real pipe down in my well..lol.

    Hi there. Thank you so much for the video. Copied your contraption to the Tee and I was able to pull out my poly pipe that had detached from the pump and motor. I was so excited it worked. For a minute I thought it was a waste of time. It saved me quite a few dollars I would have been charged by the guys who fish them out.Thank you so much.

  • @robiekaylachapelle2256

    That's awesome. My 16 year old nephew is in to fabrication etc. I put him on making his dad one to pull an old metal pipe out of the well at one of their ranches wells. I'll let you know how he did. I was a ship repair yard worker for years in Dutch Harbor where you can't always get what you need so you improvise. I'm impressed your idea and the fact your brain works like that. Thank you very much. I subscribed cause I think you could teach me and my young nephew a lot of improvissing. I've always been a improvising type of gal. So I love your channel! Thanks again. Stay safe

    Hi .. such a genius idea. Do you think it would work with 300 ft 1.5 inch galvanized pipe that has broken in two ( 150 ft each ) and they rest on well bottom ( 480 deep ) ?
    Thank you so much.

    You did not explain the “loop” on the “corner that does all the work”. I suspect it is a Mini Cable Clamp. If this is correct, you could replace the wonky key ring with 1/8 inch aircraft cable, looped and secured with those squeeze locker thingys . This would replace the entire lifting rope. Here in Canada they sell 1/8 cable in bulk at Princess auto. Translate that into Harbour Freight in the U.S, And yes we spell colour with a U. Princes also sells Para Cord for the trigger string.

    Great idea. That other tool on the net is ridiculously priced at $650 for about a $50 tool. You can tell he trys to sell by saying it's worth it by saving thousands of dollars by not hiring someone to pull the pipe out..

      Yea I saw that, the materials flat stock can be burned out (cut) out of sheet steel by the 100's per one sheet of steel, he could sell them for LESS than $150.00 and still make money

    • @justinkearney1131
      @justinkearney1131 Před 2 lety

      I saw that too, I have two wells on my property and accidentally knocked the pipes and who knows what else down the well casing a couple of weeks ago and have been pondering an idea to retrieve them so I can seal off the old well. Anything over $100 for that $20 “tool” he sells is insane.

    We just lost a pipe in a 300 ft deep well and we didnt wanna pay 3000 dollars to get it fixed. Do you think something like this will work??

    • @mpmrla
      @mpmrla  Před 3 lety

      it will have to be made with hardened tool steel with very sharp edges. If the pipe section has couplings you will have better luck if you grab it below a coupling.

    • @mpmrla
      @mpmrla  Před 3 lety

      you might consider just hardening the corners after you drill the hole.
