Jobsite demonstration of the "Quick Fish" well pump retrieval tool. Pump dropped after a corroded fitting snapped. "Quick Fish" Well Pump Fishing Tool is guaranteed to grab the pump wire every time.

what if there is no cable will it be able to latch onto pump itself?

This is for grabbing the wire. Either to pull the pump or to get the wire out of the way to grab the pipe with the "Quick Fish PIPE GRAB" tool.

This would only work under certain circumstances. If you're well caves in say goodbye to your pump

That is certainly true. If the pump is stuck from a collapsed well then unfortunately you have bigger problems.
