- Hello!
This is a quick video about the mods that I believe added the most power to my 5th gen 2015 Camaro SS. I daily drive this car and have had no reliability issues or complaints over the last 20,000 miles with these mods.
There is also a short sound clip at 6:50
The three mods are: long tube headers, intake, tune

My car is in LS3. You pretty much have the exact same mods I started with prior to adding a supercharger. Really the only thing different is I went with an SLP Loudmouth 2 for the axle back. The headers in my opinion were the biggest bang for the buck. That mated it with a tune was a game changer.
I have the 13 Camaro 2SS LS3 6speed in black/black. Muffler delete, Cold Air kit. X pipe and 2 1/2" to the bumper. I love this car! What an awesome driving car.
Sickkk I have the 2014 SS N I LUV IT JUST THE WAY IT IS.. can’t wait to start adding things..for sure want it louder 😂😂
Nice! Long tube headers help with sound haha
Awesome video my friend you’ve done great work to the camaro. I just purchased a 2018 SS hot wheels edition and have already ordered an AWE track exhaust probably shoot for headers next year.
Have you have an issue with the a8 trans? If you have an auto. I'm looking at a 17 but I'm worried about the trans shifting very hard.
@@Thisworldisfucked1984 I actually have the six speed manual. I have heard of issues with the 6 gen automatic.
lookin COLD G!!!!
so did you just use the factory exhaust (portion) between the high flows and attack axleback
I like my car with full bolt on and the stock npp exhaust with fuse pull
Ayeeee!!! We have the same floor matts!!! 😂😜 You went with the more expensive parts minus breaks lol. Kooks, Roto Fab, borla atak, and tires vs my cheaper texas speed, cold air inductions, cut resignators and flowmaster outlaw axleback and falken azenis tires lol. Your car is basically what I wanted but College would not allow.. But with that being said, hello my Automatic 2SS brotherin!
Aye!!! Love to see another brother out there 💪
@@jakess707 yeah man! L99 brother for the win!
I have a 2015 green flash automatic that I just picked up from auction. I believe it's completely stock. Would I have anything to gain by starting with just a tune? Or maybe a CAI and tune? I wouldn't even know who to contact or how to go about getting one. Also, I am an IT professional and if tuning it something I could do myself (provided I had access to all of the data or needed parameters) I would be willing to dedicate a laptop to this vehicle and buy whatever data connection I need as well. I eventually would like to do headers/exhaust....I know that some models had a dual mode exhaust available, I'm not even sure if mine has that or not, or if there's an easy way to tell.
IS YOUR ENGINE LIGHT ON DUE TO THE HIGHFLOW CATS?
What size are your front and rear tires and rims
did you lower your car? if so where and how much
What type of spark plugs and spark plug wires are you running
Needs a rowdy camshaft. They sound so much better when they are chopping
One day haha
Performance n/a camshaft is definitely another huge improvement for big hp/top end gains for the top 3 Performance mods
Hey can you do 0-60 I want to see Im trying to buy one soon the same model
Could i get that front bumper on my LT1? If so, where can i get one😭
Where you get that red sway bar at?
She is a beauty
im thinking of those mods on my 2015 SS
can you put up link to where you bought the headers and high flow cats?
im from sweden so i need to order from the US i think.
also do you need any extended cables for the new cats or does the stock sensors and cables fit?
Hopefully you figured it out, but yes, you will need oxygen sensor extensions for the primary/upstream o2 sensors. The secondary/downstream sensors won’t require them.
However, if you went with cheap(er) headers, they may not include attachments to allow you to run the downstream o2 sensors, which will trigger some O2 sensor CEL’s. The only way to fix that is to get high flow cats with o2 sensors and to install the sensors, facing AFTER the cats; or you can get your car tuned professionally (based on the laws in your country, region, etc.).
who tuned your car?
brother I need your help I have a Camaro 2015 ss but I want to modify it
U should definitely get a flex fuel kit. It’s one of the cheapest mods u can get and will make as much difference as the headers
I will definitely look into it! ive heard that the benefits are better for the 6th gens than the 5th though. Thanks for the advice though!
Flex is nearly pointless unless you aren't NA. not worth the price of kit, plus the price of tune, any decent tuner will tell you this also.
@@Neoncollects I’m NA and make an additional 30whp on E-85, The kit is the cheapest mod I’ve ever paid for and the retune costed me $400. Don’t talk about something you don’t know 😒
@@Race_Ready_1320 assuming you have the DSXkit and returne, you're sitting at, close too, 800 bucks for 5% gain, twice as many trips to the gas station, which (depending where you live) you gotta hunt for the places that sell it. Not against flex, but there a time and place for it, if you want the best performance from flex. Flex is rad with supporting mods. But just throwing flex on something and claiming it trumps building up a strong foundation, with a free flowing exhaust, is kinda wack. Been building/ fixing cars my entire life, grew up on drag strips with my dad and grandfather, and a mechanic by trade. I know a little 🤷🏼♂️ just my opinion.
@@Race_Ready_1320 also, I bet I can push 30 extra with the price of your retune, alone. Just saying.
Where did you get those floor mats...I have a 2013 SS with Borla cat back Atak...thinking headers next and CAI....
Ive had those floor mats for over 17 years haha. www.amazon.com/dp/B07MXJSTWC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_uf38Eb2S3K8S6
The headers will give you a great power increase and the CAI definitely adds some as well. Just get a good tune with it all!
I like your cars front but hate rear lights, i will do 2010-2013 with your cars front part
Catback exhaust 7-10 horsepower cold air intake 7-10 horsepower longtube headers 20-25 horsepower 20 foot pounds of torque throughout 2000 -6000rpm the oil catch can is a very good idea a big engine oil cooler and transmission fuild cooler is a good idea sounds good and a 2800rpm lockup stall in the 6L80e transmission with a computer tune with what you have already would be sweet and drivable and probably knock .5 tenth of a second with good traction don't touch the 3 27 gears perfect
Wish I could get links
Can you link or tell where you got all the products
Catch can
Air intake
Strut tower brace and sway bars through phastek
Kooks headers, cats and borla ATAK though a friend that owns a shop
Tuned by lashway
No that's boosted if you go for supercharger, bulton would be no boost just straight aspirated with that get heads fuel pump fuel injectors and I forget what else without having E85 go to the Dyno tune and you could get up to 711
i HAVE A 2012 2SS***** YOUR CAR SOUNDS GREAT, I DO NOT HAVE THE SPORT MODE S MINE IS A M ANUAL PADDLE SHIFTERS. ANY WHO GEART VIDEO*****
He said FaZetek😂
How’s the scoop is it worth it performance wise?
i am happy i did it. I never got it tuned after installing or got dyno numbers, but i found throttle response to be increased and it seemed to pull a little harder. No huge power increase but I definitely felt something
Is it actually worth it supercharging a camaro ss?
I think so lol just costs $
What tires do you have ?
Michelin pilot sport 4s
What year and is that engine the Lt4 .😊
He said a 2015 and the automatics came with the L99 motor which is same as ls3 but it has afm/dod
Best power to money you can do to any car is heads cam gears tune headers those will gain the most in that order
How much did you spend all together?
I think a little under $2500 although I don’t remember for sure. I did all installation myself
@@jakess707 do you happen to know what model kooks headers did you use and what website?
@@jakess707 how hard was the headers install?
How much horsepower it produced ?
405-410 stock what he said when he went to do the Dino that with the 6 speed automatic if I’m not mistaken I have a 2013 camaro ss automatic
How much hp are you making outta the L99?
I don’t remember the exact numbers off the top of my head right now but Hp and tq were the same and around 390 rwhp and tq give or take!
@@jakess707 nicee! Love the car, mines also the L99 with bbk long tubes catless, ported manifold/throttle body, rotofab CAI & e85
Did you have to get a tune?
Dyno tune!
How much would it cost for the headers and the tune
If you are paying for labor and the headers have cats probably around $2300
@@jakess707 without the labor
Headers 900-1200 depends on brand and with or without cats and dyno tune around 500 roughly so 1500 ish.
hey BRO... wheels 20 or 22?
20
0:30
Long or short headers
Long
Brother pumped 87😭 know my car has check engine light and stabilitrak lights and running like shit
I already changed sparkplug wires
And one coil since it was throwing misfire on cylinder 4 but keep seeing these videos of bad gas also makes all this happen
I’m gonna do the fuse pull tonight is my second 93 octane full tank I pumped after the 87 half way 2nd tank
Hope it works for me 😭
Yikes good luck :/
Ya, a tank and a half of 87 was put in my 2010 ss and the power difference from 93 is very noticeable. Can you feel any difference after you installed the upper sway bar, I think thats what you call it maybe?
You better swap out the weak afm lifters
So far haven’t heard any lifter tick but def going to keep an eye out and possibly do it soon!
@@jakess707 you did good, probably haven't had an issue from that due to getting the later years of the 5th gens (14-15)
Step by step ?
People thinking FBO is a air intake and headers …
Dude the m is for paddle shift manual lmao
Very nice sounds great 👍 check mine out hit the thumb pic of my 5 gen tell me what you think
No exhaust clip ???? Thumbs down 🤦♂️
A auto 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
