It’s time for an all-American muscle car showdown!!
Mat’s lining up in a supercharged Ford Mustang King Cobra, and pulling up to join him is a tuned Chevrolet Camaro and a Dodge Challenger SRT Scatpack!
So let’s see how awesome American exports stack up. Starting with the Mustang, it’s powered by a 5-litre V8 which has had a supercharger added to it, and as a result, it can now deliver 735hp & 690Nm of torque. It’s rear-wheel drive, and it weighs in at 1,775kg.
Next up it’s the Chevy, which is housing a 6.2-litre V8 up-front which has also had a supercharger added to it. It can therefore deliver 650hp & 600Nm, and just like the Mustang, it’s rear-wheel drive. It’s a fair bit lighter, though, weighing in at 1,656kg.
And then finally we have the Challenger. It’s powered by a 6.4-litre V8 which has had (you guessed it…) a supercharger added to it, and it’ll put down 650hp & 600Nm, exactly the same as the Camaro! It’s also RWD, but it’s the heaviest car here, weighing in at 1,900kg.
So how’s this going to play out - surely the most powerful car has to snatch the win, right? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

It's got a centrifugal supercharger, it's better than the traditional supercharger that the mustang has. Kinda like a halfway house between a turbo and supercharger. That said, the 6 speed in those Mustangs I've heard bad things about

@@somnath4237 Possibly, but there is also no denying that out of all of these neo-retro muscle cars of this era the Challenger is simply the heaviest. It is a porky boi. And weight does matter a lot when it comes to acceleration.
I would still pick the Challenger though. God that car is gorgeous...

I have always been a camaro fan I currently own a 3d gen Z28 five speed with mods and I love it. I drove my neighbors 2010 6 speed camaro and loved the power but hated the lack of visibility and if you have a drink in the cub holder it's in the way of shifting so not a big fan of the current style. I had the privilege to get a ride in a 6sp hellcat and was very impressed. I then test drove a automatic hellcat and really loved it but the one I decided on was a 6 speed scat pack. Yes it has less power but it's all usable. With some tuning and Bolt on's it's perfect for me.
I have 2 cars now that I get excited every time I go to drive and always look back at after parking.
In my opinion the challenger just feels so much more solid than the camaro and mustang.
the challenger just fits me better. We have to appreciate all 3 makes because competition is great for the consumers.

@@dmyzio Nope. These are all modified lower trim cars that came with lower spec engines. A top trim Challenger comes with over 800 hp, Mustang 760 hp and Camaro 650 hp.

Yeah to them pushrod sounds like pushrod. I think dodge has a distinct exhaust note that sounds more snappy and I can't really describe it any way besides it sounds like the valves are next to my ear. That kind of roar and snap sound. The Chevy sounds real rumbling and a bit smoother. Ford has a high revving snarl.

I’m not a dodge fan per say, but I’ll atleast say that the 392 was not meant be be under boost… That’s why they made the 6.2 that’s in the hellcats and demon

I mean the Challenger was the least powerful and the heaviest, did you think it would beat the others?? You can't hate on something put into a place it has no chance in
@@playcer8388 that is absolutely true. I never thought it had a chance. The main reason is that the challenger falls into a classification I call "spinners" if you think burnouts are cool and doughnuts and all that, its definitely the right car for you.
It's not my intention to hate. Honestly the only thing I have against dodge is the price of the parts and the poor quality/reliability. Otherwise, they're great! There are things they did very well with the design and things they did so so poorly. I wish they had done a better job with the challenger. But if you love yours dont let anybody else's opinion or video throw you off your love.
People have all kinds of hate for my car too. Every single video review they whine about how hard it is to get in and out of but not one of them are smart enough to slide the seat back so they have room.

A German estate is faster than all three of these cars, I take a German estate with a rev limiter instead of these shitboxes :) they are literally made only for acceleration and they do it worse than a german family car
Ironically my bmw m2 doesn’t have a limiter and my friends skat pack has one at 4k both haven’t been modified

Sadly since they're in the UK their access is very limited to these cars. As you saw all of these cars are modified. I think the CZcams channel "Throttle House" has something you'd be interested in. They're based where I live here in Canada.

Having owned all 3 of this cars I have to say I miss my Camaro so much. It’s the most fun car I’ve owned. My current Mustang is easier to live with but doesn’t feel as special.

@@FeaRNightstorm much easier to see out of. The Camaro is like sitting inside a tank. The windows are tiny and the door sills are really high. Between the two cars you’re choosing between, I’d go 1LE all day. The Camaro has more front end grip and handles better overall. Also feels faster from a dig.

As soon as he said the dodge had the 6.4 and not the hellcat I knew it would loose every time. It’s the heaviest and least aerodynamic and was tied for the least horse power. So it really had no chance
They don't tell you enough about the challenger to make a reasonable assessment......I get so tired of the challenger haters pretending to be fair.
I've long thought about building my 392, with the same boost as a hellcat, it will destroy a hellcat, and anything on this retarded video.....

@@moneyman1002 i was agreeing with you, no need to get so upset lol, and what i was saying was a little different from what you were saying, i said that if they ALL had 1k horsepower, that means not just the dodge being a hellcat, that means both the mustang and camaro having horsepower that the cars probably couldnt handle and end up spinning out or not building enough static friction and launching properly, and i think the hellcat would definitely launch properly and maintain those higher speeds perfectly.
