I would never fly in fog because of the moisture issue, but man, I never thought about the downward sensors!! Good point man. Thanks for sharing.

I almost lost my MA2 yesterday in dense fog, It automatically landing by itself with all the warnings going on, when I tried to land the drone it won't. after it get closer it land too slow.

Fully correct, unless you know your drone and disable beforehand the the potential affected sensors. Even worse what I did but all possibilities anticipated is flying in freezing fog 😉....

Great video and nice reasons to give to the client why this is not a good idea

There is a reason for the option to turn the sensors off.

Good tip. I flew fog once, pretty light fog, and the drone was soaked when it returned. I've never flown fog since. So in your boat, why didn't you reset the homepoint? Were you using an Ipad without cellular support, the version which doesn't have GPS support? I like flying while it's snowing, but you have to keep the batteries warm somehow before launch.

If you cannot stop the downward vision sensors you can always duct tape them and you wont have the descending problem. Only the moisture problem remains, which if you dont fly for a long time you can always dry later the drone
