Meta publishing NSFW ads, and youtube hosting literal malware ads. Way to persuade people that we should be watching ads.
There's an acceptable number of ads I'm willing to watch: zero.
There's also a hard limit to the amount I will pay for content, and now even paid content is hosting ads. I do not trust CZcams to continue providing ad free content via premium sub.
Would you be willing to watch ads if they were non-personalized and vetted by humans like in the old days?
Ads? What ads? 🤣
@@boburanus69 Absolutely. They screwed themselves by robbing channels of the means to sustain during the adpocalypse, and now that EVERY channel has sponsor spots as well as youtube ads, there's no damned way I'm watching double ads.
@@Galerak1 So the LTT ads for hoodies and screwdrivers and backbacks don't appear in your videos? :-/
Dang, imagine paying more to buy an unlocked CPU, only to find out that using the feature essentially makes the CPU unusable. That's gotta suck hard.
- Bought a $650 CPU
- Had to disable the built in turbo boost for extra stability
Sounds like a "gReAt" deal
in a laptop is way worse they can only just keep it cool at stock clocks much less when over clocked
it's not just unusable, it's probably damaging the CPUs too

Intel: And even framerate freezing!
Wait a minute... Ads breaking ToS? Can't imagine that happening here on CZcams!
Lol, got an add a couple of days ago for AFK Journey. The add was using a video of Viva la Dirt League (and I don't think they gave permission ;) ).
I also couldn't find the video on their channel anymore, so it probably got copyright striked as well.
EDIT: just for clarification, I found the video again and it contained a sponsorship for the game. So probably they (unknowingly?) allowed the game to use their video.
I turned off my ad recommendations, so i don't get targeted ads. Ads on CZcams are so sexualized and often times disgusting. I remember a few years ago i legit got a porno ad with women moaning and getting clapped. CZcams couldn't care less. You can actually through google see what ads a company has created so you can see everything a company has made for ads.
Whenever i report anything on facebook, literal scams warned about in the news, they send a message back that no action was taken and the content break no rules.
Same
i had a 'story' pop up with a literal naked woman selling her onlyfans, reported it, got that same automated bot message that nothing had been infringed, it's hilarious while simultaneously pathetic.
“But they give us money!”
I know the AI girlfriend ads are bad as far as nsfw stuff goes, but I just wanna throw out that facebook started advertising companies that sell flavored nitrous oxide, as in for basically doing whippets, and every time i've reported the ads i get a response stating it didn't break any rules....
Ahh yes, good old Hippie crack. Clearly not harmful in any way according to meta.
I've seen dozens of sponsored ads for steroids, mushrooms, and pills on FB. None were taken down when reported repeatedly.
Dude, I reported nudity and they don't see any issues with nudity
Galaxy gas got the Ai add bug me thinks.
I've reported also the ones selling a LED in a bike hat, as a hairloss prevention, molly for-anything..it's not legal!, shrooms for...anything. also, not legal.
People who build a Intel i9 + RTX 4090 basically paid 4000 dlls for first row tickets to see wich one blows up first. Competition is on fire right now.
Leaked emails form Intel employees indicate that "Shaggy - It Wasn't Me" is now banned from jukeboxes around the campus
What tf is Intel smoking with this decision making?
Nah, it was some AMD chips that were smoking like a year ago, Intel is now just blasting so much voltage they'll slowly degrade.

They’re smoking the fumes from their burning CPUs

@@thetheoryguy5544 Intel's marketcap 132 B, AMD marketcap 258 B. If this is not important I will tell you what it is: not sacrificing stability. It makes your products less interesting in the eyes of informed buyers. If Intel continues like this, they will be dead and no competition is bad for all of us.
I watched that Autonomous racing thing live, and I have to say, that's the one thing which gave me a tummy ache from laughing in a long time.
Also, as an electrical engineer myself, I totally sympathise with the inability of autonomous robots not working the way they should 90% of the time.
They really should have done more closed testing before launching the event - they couldn't even get the basics to work with any reliability. The resulting laughable nature of it has likely done more damage to promoting their AI goal than any amount of experiment spin they can try and put on it. I imagine the sponsors are not very happy this week.
Meanwhile I set up a totally normal ad for someone on Meta and they blocked the account with basically no reason. What a piece of junk.
They've blocked my account for looking at the ad menus for suspicious activity. I honestly do not know how they came to that conclusion.

Intel is pulling an AMD FX stunt here
Amd fx never had stability issue
@@potatorigs2155 besides the unstable frame times
@@spaghettiupseti9990 Anybody that used FX for gaming when i5s and i7s existed are fanboys and probably deserved the horrible experience. Nowadays I use AMD exclusively because it's simply the better product, just like I used Intel exclusively back then.
At least FX overcooked satisfyingly; with enough voltage, any CPU could reach 4.5+ GHz. Can't say that about current Intel (nor AMD, for that matter).

unlimited power has never been an issue before...
Still isn't. MSI when tested had the unlimited without issues. All the damaged CPU's have been pulled from Asus motherboards. Not a surprise to be honest. Not the first time Asus fails and last time it was with AMD.
@@paulboyce8537 that's nonsense. The Korean Intel recall was not mobo dependent. Gigabyte blasted the highest voltages, which is terrible for silicon degradation. All mobo makers were affected, because Intel told them to blast as much power as they can.
only for the emperor
@@lucidnonsense942 And why it's only in Korea?
@ThePowerLover it isnt, its just that they first brought light to the issue
My computer would randomly power cycle even though my theoretical full load was 100 watts lower than my PSU max. Turns out power spikes were shutting everything down due to overloading the psu. I spent over a year living with this until I realized my motherboard was giving my CPU FOUR KILOWATTS of power overhead on a 125 watt TDP. Thanks asus and intel.
The thought of living with a PC that randomly power cycles is terrifying due to the potential fire hazard of a failed PSU causing that. You're damn lucky it wasn't your power supply that was causing that issue.
Sadly, you miscalculated theoretical full load. A dumb default for the motherboard to use, that's for sure, but it still doesn't change the fact that whatever the power limit is, that's what you need to account for. Not even slightly Intel's fault, somewhat Asus's fault, but mostly your fault.
@@karlhendrikse I actually didn’t. I was 20% under max load rating, more than enough to account for any normal fluctuations.
That can’t be right, that’s the surge wattage of a large desktop laser printer.
honestly I'm surprised the Intel processor issue hasn't happened sooner I mean for years now motherboard makers have had their optimized settings enabled by default and most people don't know enough about the products they're buying to know that they should disable them
My confusion is how they haven't managed to make it automatically adjust. I have used Asus boards for a long time, and my experience is that they don't quite get their estimate of my cooling right and end up overclocking a bit too high. They should be able to realize that "ah, a full minute of running with thermal throttling should probably mean I need to dial it back a little bit". Heck, there's even an option to set the max temperature, and that works really well in my tests.
Why does the new CZcams update make my iPhone’s haptic engine “click” when a new chapter of the video starts? Thought I was going crazy at first. 😂
Same. Drove me freaking nuts when it first started happening
Same. When another chapter appeared in my Super Retina XDR screen, my Haptic Engine clicked and my iPhone 15 Pro Max 1TB made a slight unpleasant vibration. I don't think it's a problem with my A17 Bionic chip. It's probably CZcams's fault.

Is that a pixel shirt that they made or just lint on James?
yeah, i thought my screen had a something on it or had got a dead pixel, that "spot" annoyed me far more than I'd like to admit.
Deadpixel shirt confirmed! Also saw posts about the LTT store having a "dead pixel"
Intel really out there selling 13850k and 14850k as top end 13900k and 14900k and blaming others when their CPU can't hit their rated speeds

Yes, it's James!

I ordered the MagSafe sharge power bank and it interferes with the iPhone 15 pro camera bump. Even though the seller's website says it's compatible with 15, 14, 13, and 13 mini. Fastest returned product I've ever had.
I've been going nuts with my 14900k thinking I did something wrong with my build or BIOS but the stability issues did turn out to be the CPU itself not being able to handle its default clock. When I tuned down my performance core from 57x to 54x via the Intel Extreme Utility tool, that resolved my stability issues (ridiculous).
Was James showing off the new LTT "dead pixel" t-shirt?
Meta's ad policies are a joke. I've been reporting clear scam ads for a while, and they just don't do anything with it and tell me it's not against their policies.
Who would’ve thought 300W small die CPUs was a bad idea?

Back in the early 2000's these "see any girl naked" apps were sold on german TV as 4,99€/week hidden subscriptions (and I'm not talking about fringe channels here I'm talking about the mainstream channels with millions of viewers)

@TechLinked - Here are my custom settings for the Erying i9 13900HK ES motherboard... TDP 115W max (Intel's spec) Under volt 150mv. My temperatures with a Thermalright TL B12W cooler hit a maximum of 70C while playing Star Wars Battlefront II. My Cinebench R23 score: 16077 (much faster than the stock settings and much cooler) - Max temperature hit 80C for a short second and hovered from 65-70C. So far, no stability issues. All the pulled CPU's come from Asus boards. Asus was to blame last time also with AMD. To point out MSI no limit and no problems. Gigabyte under the recommended specs and no problems. Only Asus seems to have problems. My feeling is their BIOS is crap.
@@paulboyce8537stop saying that. It's easily falsifiable! ALL motherboard vendors where affected, MSI were no better than others. This issue was demonstrated across all vendors.
Intel should drop prices on them CPUs by 20% to make them worthwhile.
I remember people laugh at Mark who’s laughing now Quest better than Apple one
They just started to add more work on that, but that also proof they was able to give you a better device, but they just decided to not do that.. now thanks to Apple, they just try to get the 100% of their device... (by the way Apple hardware is still better, so still more improvements can be showed with just OS updates.. but since it's basicaly just a developer toolkit yet, they are fine if the device is usable by the devs, when there are enough apps ready, they can launch the Vision Air or Vision SE, so a cheaper device what is not announced on the developer conference, for developers but on the iPhone event for the regular users..)
For context: Jayztwocents discovered this MONTHS before the Tekken 8 stuff started happening.

The AI race was an hilarious disaster.
The car in first place spun out which triggered a "yellow flag" (where cars have to go significantly slower to avoid "injuring" other AI ;p and cannot overtake other cars which are racing) but that ended up being the end of the race after those 2 laps since all other cars stopped on track, not wanting to overtake the car stuck on the side of the race track.
2 laps of slowness and it was done, early access at its finest >__
calling OpenAI executives at the AI safety and security board is like having Wallace Breen manage the department of defense tbh
is that white spec on the t-shirt is a reference to dead pixels in the WAN show?
The AMD GPU news make me depressed, I'm now stuck between staying on my old 6000 series for the next 2-3 years, grabbing a 7900 confirmed to have a hardware bug wrecking it's performance for a thousand dollars, or supporting the dark side by grabbing an Nvidia GPU for even more cash...
Intel telling MOBO manufacturers not to walk on their leaking dam. Their breaking it, dontcha know.
I've had so many facebook ads selling cannabis (illegal drug still). I don't think they're checking anything they're advertising.
It is the responsibility of the younger brother to take the blame for the elder brother. All motherboard manufacturers have been in mainland China for decades and it is impossible not to know this rule. Intel believes that all younger brothers know this unspoken rule unless the younger brother no longer wants to rely on the elder brother for a living.
Gpt-5 has been secretly released as “Gpt-2”
AMD previously stated that while they could create a GPU that was technically faster than the 4090, it would also require way too much power and be way too expensive to manufacture so they decided against it.
So such a GPU would maybe technically have been better in performance but still be the worse card. If this 8000 series card ever existed then it was probably cancelled for similar reasons
Best voice bit ever: “That little squip is up to something I just know it” I’ll take it over the Tim Cook
1:40 that’s unfortunate. I have an RX6600XT MSI Mech card and it’s outstanding.
The Sharge powerbanks look exactly like the "transparent powerbanks" that's been on Aliexpress for a least a year now
How can they fail at autonomous race cars ?? Mario kart has been making bot opponents for years
If you look at it this way, most likely it started from one mobo manufacturer, which then trickled down to other manufacturers to boost up their numbers. No one is going to want to take the blame for it, so it's best that we move on.
The shaggy defense
Don't forget that this is happening to 10th gen i9. I keep on hearing that this was due to 'adblocker'...
Keep your friend close, and Sam Altmann closer. Gold. 😂😂
Intel needs to have a single specific maximum turbo TDP that if you exceed then the BIOS must state that 'exceeding the maximum turbo TDP may result in instability and may invalidate your CPU warranty'.
Motherboard manufacturers should also be required to state on the support sections when the motherboard is incapable of running the maximum turbo TDP for the intended duration such as 'K' SKUs having PL1=PL2. Thus a board should state for example, 14900k or 14900k (188W, unlimited duration) or 14900k (188W, 65 seconds; 125W unlimited duration). Because in this case the 14900k is a 253W maximum turbo TDP chip. This is both consumer friendly as they will be able to know if a board only sorta supports the CPU and investor friendly because chips that are not stable above the 253W maximum turbo TDP spec aren't defective like they currently are since Intel has no actual spec for power.
I have a i7 14700kf and haven't had any issues, what should I look out for?
I saw the values of wattage the boards assign. It is the motherboard fabs problem. Even if a broad setting is given boards must test!!!
No, you're saying people is not thrilled to use VR headsets in public? You must be kidding!
U can't make it come faster even if you pout 😂 7:50
Maybe the AI safety meeting is just a ploy to get them all in the same room at once and then...
it's a ghost! best line.
Forgot what was meta
Amd gpu probably exists but needs more power than us standard psu can supply. 1600w max US with the 7900xtx easily hitting 500 now double that and add inefficiency from upscaling probably really limits the hardware you can put in your pc.
The Intel 13-14 gen shit show is ridiculous. I’ve had my i9 13900k for almost a year now, it’s been borderline unusable. I updated my bios yesterday set the settings to the intel baseline and I finally can play games without crashing I would have went AMD if we knew this was an actual problem. I hope there is a class action suit at some point.
That's fine, MSI branded cards are typically bottom of the barrel cards anyway. All the ones I've ever tried tweaking, you can't get more than out of the box settings. I call them the Corsair memory of graphics cards, what you see is what you get.
and for most users, that is fine. I get that people like to be able to min/max the settings to get more out of it as if it was a V8 but I'd rather have something that plugs in and pulls it weight.
4:07 That charges your devices but they urine for more??
I try to avoid consumer-grade hardware for file servers and compute nodes at my home because I value my data and computing integrity. I would rather use old (circa 2016-2017) servers than newer consumer grade crap for higher prices. Except for laptops and those very small energy saving PCs to only drive displays.
I always enjoy collecting tears of people who have money to blow on the highest end parts and them not being perfect
I’m a iPad user in the EU and I’ve been able to kinda get third party apps working on my iPad although their aren’t many stores available right now.
I’m just hoping my old iPad pro 2nd gen gets the iPadOS update 18 since their are rumors it’s the only device that will lose software support.

my 13900ks is going great pushing a year later 👍 tuning these things as the Enthusiast/Overclock moniker implies, does wonders and it's great. Most of my games it's like 50-150W, 40-60C. Playing Tekken 8 for example it's under like 10-40% load on individual cores with many sitting at
For the intel and instability stuff:
A lot of Motherboard Companies crank the CPU's outside their specs by default, like: eat as much power as you want, so we have a 0.005% performance edge over our competitor.
Having these on default means, your CPU is stressed from the get go .. and probably also leads to damages.
I am just a singular experience here but my 13900 has 0 instabilities and operates within its limits and really, i had no case yet where i would've to overclock that guy.
But then again, the CPU's are probably already at their limits to begin with .. so by technically allowing MB companies to ignore limits .. that could definetly be a somewhat irresponsible act.
The Meta AI Ad story: its sadly become very common that companies in this field can just make claims and statements that can never be fulfilled and dodge any responsibility because in the end: they have no power or control over any of this .. they can't force someone to click and interact with an ad .. and so on and so on.
And if someone is silly enuff to purchase this unverified claim, its their own fault. Yet here I think we need a different approach to this. Claims used to sell a product simply cannot be allowed to be made up nonsense. If you claim uplifts and better efficiency, there must be substential proof before you are allowed to even make such a claim, or have mandatory full feature trials in place to actually see if that stuff works or is just nonsense. Our world of efficiency is pretty much with the only efficient thing is, how much BS people are now trying to sell and get away with.
The AI safety nonsense with the majority of players being people who benefit from anything ai is .. also a huge joke. So far all we see is how AI is just a huge problem everywhere without real benefits, see the above meta ai ad story, the situation that journalists are fired for being human and actually with the ability to deliver a story instead of made up ai crap. The internet is full of ai bot spam, deepfakes .. soon the artistic industry will be completly ruined by ai. I myself received job offers for positions where my whole job would be, to replace and automate lots of company departments by generative ai, destroying tons of jobs in the process and i know that ai might be able to handle some tasks, but its not good enuff to replace a human at all, unless these come without any brain capabilities.. So no, ai and the very unregulated space we already have is a huge bane on humanity, having such a safety self serving board trying to formulate and influence legislation will be very negative as well..
The race story .. a self driving racing league? what is being compared in an competitive environment here? And why should anyone even care? Putting a human there puts some achievement and skill check .. but self driving sounds like: we too much money, how burn?
This was a short Tecklinked...
Linus wasn't even here!
I don't know what;s the problem with people.
On Itel Ark they clearly state:
Maximum Turbo Power 253 W
for the processors talked about at the start of this video.
What are you talking about? What has Ark got to do with this?
That's the maximum power "with recommended settings". So it's just the recommended power limit. It's not a maximum in any real way.
Box of wine, puts me right out
This isn't an Intel issue only. It applies to the latest gens AMD also. Same shit
Please tighten up quality control
Don’t be boeing 2.0
So, this wasn't known in the tech world that AMD cancelled its upper end chips for RDNA 4? This has been in the rumor mill for most of a year now, as in at least more than 6 months this has been talked about.
Why? Because AMD was going down the wrong path with their MCM architecture and simply adding more cores couldn't overcome the latency created by having, you know, INCREDIBLY FAST GPU cores that have to wait for data coming from another chiplet.
I don't know if MCM is ever going to pan out for GPUs. I mean the whole purpose of cores on a GPU is to be a LOT faster than CPU cores at doing specific calculations.
If MCM turns into a good thing for a GPU you'll know it because it will be on an Nvidia GPU.
That white pixel on his shirt was as distracting as the one that kept moving on WAN last week XD
