Fun to see some more people make vids about R3E lately, hope it pulls more people to the sim.
i would play it more if it had team endurance events like an iracing, rf2 or acc

@@pedrosilvaproductions They are labeled endurance, but they are more of a longer sprint. Raceroom doesn't have driver swaps at the moment, so realistically it limits the races to 2.5 hours tops to be manageable for a single driver. The Wednesday races are usually 90-120 minutes long, very rarely 144 minutes.
I have to drop obligatory recommendation for OtterHud. Especially in longer races it's priceless. It includes the visual radar spotter like AC/ACC, real time fuel calculation widget, detailed tire stats, position bar, relative position bar color coded by class etc.
I’m never complaining about the standards in iRacing again 😂
Hes in the rookie races when you get above 80 rep the racing is really good
These rookie servers are kind of hit or miss. They have no reputation limit and use free or starter pack content, so they always have a lot of people who are new, or too reckless to be able to join regular servers. I've had couple decent races in rookie, but I've also seen couple or pretty insane ones, so I mostly avoid them to keep my rating/rep safe.
Thing is damage isn't that over the top on RaceRoom like iRacing, so you can do a lot more door banging which is fun. :)
Great stuff for the online side of this game. More exposure from streamers to help make it a cheaper alternative to Iracing. Lets hope they get the ranking system right.

I’ve been the victim of a few crazy dive bombs in recent weeks - on my channel, there’s a GT3 race at the Red Bull Ring from a few weeks ago with an absolutely crazy one into T1! Be great if you get a DaveCam server too, I’ll definitely be in there!
Watching the first half of that race was like watching someone yell 'Fire!' in a crowded theater. Just mayhem.
Geez the disqualifications, I can't say I've ever seen anything like that in a single race before.
I have to say race rooms sounds is miles ahead of the Sims out there the old V8 cars like group 5 or the gto class cars r simply amazing and the fact the game let's you test drive the cars before buying is amazing. If anyone hasn't tried it yet try it out its free. Love content Mr Dave keep up the great work man.
Hey dave, if you plan to do more raceroom you should really take a look at the otter hud, it's pretty easy to install and helps a lot ;)
He has crewchief, so only a matter of puttibg in the url in the launch option in steam.
What Max says! And get off the rookie servers asap. Plenty of morons around there.
Have a look at the longer daily races. They are good fun.

Nice to see more people joining R3E! Of course I really recommend Otterhud (or has someone already said that?!?), yes, apart from it, try to keep out of any trouble and don't fight for position, to get your reputation points above 75 asap and then enjoy the much cleaner races. Of course there are some strange drivers everywhere, but all in all it gets much better then. Cheers!
Thanks for bring attention to this Sim. I have given up on it due to lack of people on the servers. It is great fun, hope this will aid on bring some more drivers back to the sim

Dave- The Euro servers on Raceroom are brutal! If you want some cleaner racing look into the North America Raceroom or aus-nz groups

So glad you're doing more RR Dave, poor Sim just doesn't get the love it deserves, has by far the best net code and the community is great (apart from the odd dick for brains). When you're looking for cars for your server please take a look at some of the more historic ones. The 964 is a dream, as are the Scirocco and NSU, especially for wheel to wheel racing. Lovin' your streams man!
Sepang and Algarve are my 2 fave tracks in RaceRoom. If I could suggest, look more toward your mid corner speed, like ALL sim racers...we brake way too late. Sacrificing our turn in point and mid corner speed, in the mistaken belief because we are 'busy' at the wheel, that we're going fast. Where we get off the brake pedal and back on the throttle is way more important than where we get on the brakes. Earlier and less forceful brake usage allows more attention to be paid to turn in, mid corner power application and hopefully, a faster exit. Also re: earlier braking...a less dramatic weight shift keeps the car more stable on turn in. Late braking is a tool that should be utilised for block passing opponents. If you drive like that all the time, it's one less tool left in your arsenal. Another very useful philosophy taught to me by a fellow road racer 30 odd years ago is "If you are looking to pass the bloke in front, don't follow in his wheel tracks. Otherwise you are being forced to drive HIS plan, not your own" Common sense when you think about it. Have fun mate!!

Well Dave nice to see some old game action I love this game acc and iracing is good but this keeps it simple if you are a beginner just like me rookie tend to dive bomb because they all think there Lewis Hamilton or max verstappen but it's all great fun
A lot of newbies in those ranked rookies servers, but as soon as you hit 75% rating, you will be able to join other servers and you will see a drastic difference in quality of clean and close racing.
Well that's what "rookie" servers are here for, newbies , no ? Find it strange to see also ranked drivers still racin on "rookie" servers. Of course, if high ranked drivers from other sims join R3E, they will have to go through that rookie procedure as well. And that's where it becomes kind of "delicate"...

Hi dave, i watch several vids... There is no base spotter in R3E. Really anoying. You have to get crew chief or else you are on your own. But it looks and sound nice. And i think i may give it a go since i m on an iRacing break. ^^

Actually quite good. Not as sharp feeling as other Sims but but really good fun

will you race in todays Endurance Ranked Multiclass?
I reinstalled RaceRoom last night. I've been iRacing for the past 5 months. Curious to know your in game FFB settings. There's too many dials for me. I spent 5 hours adjusting and still not settled.
Looking forward to joining some races in the future
GamerMuscle does a video on RaceRoom FFB settings. It’s not personally to my liking as I prefer a heavier more detailed setting but maybe you could give his settings a try. The default FFB setting in RaceRoom is pretty good already. Personally I think the feedback in my hands is more detailed than ACC. In RaceRoom I can tell much more what the rear of the car is doing, whereas in ACC I can only tell that by the sound of tires skidding… and then it’s usually too late…
Let me know how you get on with GamerMuscles settings. I can post my settings later if you want.
It doesn't matter, because S3S announced a very new FFB coming in June.
You still play this ? They overhauled the ffb completely. Less dials and way better feeling now.
@@simracingchannel7691 now and again. The FFB is a lot better but let down by the scanning of the tracks. Still overall a bit numb for my liking

For the People who dont know There is a NEW INTERFACE that IMO looks better and you can actually see a chat log and other stuff to get it

You don't get too many races where the spotter's as busy as the driver.
Overall good race, but some of the chaos at the beginning and then again later on with the 2 goons make me feel better about paying a small fortune for iracing... 😬
There's plenty of goon on iR too though

I did a race/rage quit in my last GT4-race after getting punted a few times off the track. Better never do it because the point loss really hurts, far more than iRacing. It's usually better when qualifying in front of the idiots, if you get away in time. Other series seems more clean like the Tatuus or even GT3. Try the GTR1-class and older DTM, so before 2020, which is a bit twitchy. The new GT2 is also nice, prefer the Audi. It's like GT4 from the aero and weight with more horse power than GT3, but a bit slower from the lap times. I also like the KTM-X-Bow, the one without roof and 200 kg BOP weight.
Hi Dave, nice video. With our community of Rijnaars Motorsports we have monday and tuesday evenings RaceRoom leagues with some good and fair racing. If you’d like you can join, next monday we run a one-off with the BMW GT2’s before the start of the new season.

Rookies is always a bit of a lottery. Search "otterhud" for a much better in-game hud with proper relative box and deltas etc. Much better for videos.

Is it just me or does that tire model look way off? Looked like there was a lot of snap loss of traction then it just came back all at once. Not at all like a real tire.
You can try for yourself :) Free content doesn't include GT4 cars, but there are a few fictional cars that are a bit faster than GT4.
or do you mean the last corner where Dave spin out a few times? the track has an unusual profile in that corner (the inside line is almost off-camber) so that's probably what upsets the balance unexpectedly
regarding how traction comes back, the car shouldn't necessary keep go on spinning once you lost the rear. the traction does happen to come back in quite a sharp manner. you can watch Driver61's video on Nürburgring crashes where he talks about that

Most these Sims have a no-blame penalty system. Though not perfect, it encourages all parties to maintain track awareness and make efforts to avoid collisions.
This is so frustrating. I got my safety up now I'm slow. Can't leave the race without a penalty wtf...Even if damage...So stupid. Any way Back to racing lol Rant over. Ta.
