Thank you very much for making this video, it helped me out a lot. I'm currently considering to study criminology but feel extremely intimidated by it. Could you please inform me on what I should expect regarding the research portion when studying this? Thank you!
Hi! I'm so glad you found my video useful! From my experience, the research I have had to do has been very surface level, as in just researching for assignments using peer-reviewed articles and sources of the like. I have not had to conduct any of my own research studies or experiments from scratch. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to reach out!
@@victoriamerc1960 Thank you very much for your response. I was feeling overwhelmingly conflicted over whether studying criminology would be the right path for me. Once again, thank you!
Hii, how ru doing now? I also consider criminology recently and I'm intimidated as well lol. Wanna be a criminologist (ig it's the best job I can do with criminology degree) I just wanna learn more :> Have u chosen criminology or stuff? Pls let me know if u see my comment. Have a good day :]
Oh my god... Honestly I was in search of this content from past few days.... After going through I couldn't find it easy to leave it without letting you know that hey girl! You have really really helped me a lot. Thanks girl... God bless you ❤️❤️
Thank you for giving your input as a current criminology student. As someone who is debating between criminology and criminal justice this is very informative!!
The two Universities in my city that offer Criminology one offers a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology while the other one offers a Bachelor of Science in Criminology. Do you think the courses would differ greatly with one being more Scientific and probably more difficult? Or does it being a BA or BSc not really mean anything significant?
Thank you so much. I’m currently a sophomore, and I can honestly say I should’ve done wayyyyyy more research. I agree with everything you said, it is heavily theory based. It definitely is not what I expected it to be. I’m currently looking into changing my major to something completely unrelated to criminology.
I'm honestly pretty lost in what I want to become like 0 clue but I have always had the liking for things like psychology and crime investigation so I thought why not pursue criminology if I am not passionate about anything else. i am currently in 10 CBSE and next year I may take commerce with psychology are there any specific subjects to take in high school before trying for criminology?
hey im like a year late i dont expect you to reply, but what careers would you expect to get out of criminology because my dream job is a criminal investigator and im not sure what the right course to take it
Hello, thank you for making this video it helps a lot. I'm thinking of going into college with criminology. Do you know of any majors related to criminology that more involves serial killers or is it just criminology?
Hello! Quick question.. what type of assignments would you be given because I’m thinking of studying criminology but am unsure if it’s the right path for me.. also what are the exams like? Are they similar to the assignments you get given?
Many of the assignments that I have done during my studies are research essays. As for exams, a lot of them have to do with applying knowledge to essay questions and case studies, as well as redefining any theories we've learned in that specific course!
Hey Victoria I enjoyed watching your video I am really interested in criminology. I was just wondering what kind of subjects did you have to take in high school?
I'm from Belgium. Would you say your knowledge also applies to the criminology studies here? I am currently studying psychology at uni for 2 yrs but am thinking of changing to criminology
