- Here is a demo walkthrough of the HYPNOSIS Time Effects Processor by Dreadbox a boutique synth and effects company based in Athens, Greece.
Their new 80's inspired fx unit is a powerful effects processor. It features a combination of three deep effects. The pink neon-lit three-tank spring reverb sounds huge / dark and features a unique pitch modulation circuit making the reverb very cool and unique. The analogue chorus/flange effect adds new textures / movement to your leads and chords, from a slow modulation to very quick rates, control the amount of the LFO applied with the Depth. The excellent digital delay is lush and expansive which adds some serious width to your instrument. Perfect for pulsing basses and vibrant chords. Each effect has 3 LFO waveforms to choose from or 3 delay modes. The sound design possibilities are huge with this one, and just... look at it.

mein Hypnosis hat jetzt gute 2000 betriebsstunden tadellose leistung erbracht . alle potis sitzen fest und fahren wie am ersten tag butterweich und präzise. auch die beiden programmwählschaltknöpfe so wie die volumen in und out potis arbeiten tiptop. 440 euro die wirklich gut investiert sind. da gibts auch keine schublade in der er mal verschwinden könnte. eine wirlich tolle ergänzung fürs synthesizer setup. das frotteearmband hab ich noch nicht ausgepackt da ich selten bis gar nicht ins schwitzen komm - in griechenland ist es ja auch wesentlich heisser als hier im alpenvorland von österreich. liebe grüsse an alle dreadboxuser und viel vergnügen mit eurer hypnosis!

Weren't there some knobs-with-handles for OP-1..🤔 I wonder if those’ll fit on Hypnosis.
just for the records: DW-8000 is not an analog synth. It uses digitally stored one-cycle waves. But is has analog filters that make it sound so good.

The DW-8000 is a digitally controlled analog synth hybrid. Digital waveforms through an analog filter (VCF) and analog VCA, VGA sound shaping.
@Sound Isles exactly! So saying this is an 8 vocie analog is a misnomer when the core of the sound is 8 digital oscillators with digitally sampled waveforms going thru a single analog VCF. It definitely sounds digital too given the fidelity in the 80s, but its a cool sound. Do you consider a PPG Wave 2 an analog synth too? Haha. TBH I love wavetables, but just find the juxtaposition of the text on screen amusing.
@@soundisles The Waldorf Wave, which I would LOVE to have, utilizes anlog filters as well, but I definitely consider it a digital, wavetable synthesizer. Such a beautiful beast too

I think its fate that the particular instrument I have in mind for this is my old EX-8000. Match made in 80s Heaven.
Gonna be pairing this up with am East Beast. Would love to run some vocals through it and see what can be done with that.

Great demo! Since the Hypnosis has no Midi or USB options, is there a way to reset the 49 presets after overriding the stock presets?
I'm not 100% sure about a full factory reset. There are only a couple banks of presets on it from factory, the majority are empty slots. You do however have the ability to save, copy, and recall presets. You can use recall for quick switching while playing for musical purposes.
