#motoacademy - Sport
All kinds of people that have given it a hard time but have yet to meet one person that hasn’t been impressed after riding it.
But it sounds like an RC car my guy. Big sad.
I’ll definitely be in the minority who will do everything possible not to adopt this bs! Lol. Not that it will matter at all.
@@nickv3085 They aren’t making them for old timers. It’s not BS it’s a huge growth area for the sport. It’s not a replacement it’s an addition. Does everyone have to buy one? No, but if you don’t support them then you don’t support the growth of the sport. Pretty simple.
@@nickv3085worried about the sound lolol don't hate because you couldn't handle the power, luckily you can turn the power down from 80 hp to 20 hp so a inexperienced rider like yourself can still have fun on tbr stark trust me you'll find this a lot more reliable and fun in the woods then your ttr 230
@@nickv3085 tell us you're slow without telling us you're slow.
You are exactly correct. Look, your comment brought one out. I let a multiple gold medal X-games rider try mine this past weekend. And now he knows he needs one if he still wants gold medals.
"so stark give me a bike" 🤣
9.9 on the bike.. 10/10 kit and bike combo!!
I was most impressed in the second half of your video demonstrating how easy it was to clear everything. What a promising bike for all levels of riders who are big enough to ride it. I imagine that the Stark Varg will just keep improving... I think some people forget how incredible that bike is for a first year release. Thanks, AJ.
It really is the perfect bike for an adult learning the sport or progressing. It's difficult to learn on a small trail bike, and full size MX bikes have too much power. This has it all!
I’m trying to learn my on mine and find being able to keep my balls on the pegs the whole time with the rear handbrake really really awesome as well. I think it’s making it easier for me to learn on.
@@BarrettMeeker867 It would kind of be weird to have the rear brake where the clutch lever usually is, on a dirt bike... however, in the long run it could be an advantage, as you can apply the rear brake equally as good in right turns (as traditionally don in left turns).
@@jedielder7970 Yea funny enough it's becoming fairly common to have a left hand rear brake in roadracing probably for some similar reasons. I used to road race a 125 GP bike and I never had one but always wanted a hand rear brake on that bike, once you have a quick shifter you only use the clutch on the start so could easily run it turned out of the way and have a rear hand brake.
I love it. One tip - if you have bicycles / mountain bikes switch their brakes so front is on the right & rear is on the left. I do that for all my bikes & my kid's bikes. (they come opposite at least in the US) It helps me anyway.
@@BarrettMeeker867 Yeah, you're so right. My brother-in-law took one of our mx bikes for a test ride and crashed hard while smashing the front brake lever, thinking it was the back brake... like his mountain bike. I can totally see the advantage of only taking your feet off the pegs when you really need to for balance. I raced motocross and SX for years... but I bet 125 GP is fun! I heard that is what Jean-Michel Bayle wanted to do when he left his MX/SX career behind in the US. I don't know if road racing ever worked out for him, at the same level... he was amazingly smooth on dirt bikes.
Would be awesome to see lap comparisons on the day between your race bike vs stark. Bike looks amazing.
Stay tuned...

I was REALLY looking forward for this! Keep it going!
I just picked mine up Feb 7 2024 after watching your video . Great machine .
Well done AJ! Even though this was a fairly short video, it was probably the best I've seen so far. Many thanks.
Don't worry! We have a lot more Stark content coming!
Love it. And when you have suspension set up- 10/10 ? Should be getting mine in April.
Crazy. E bikes are here. To me the hate seems just like the 4 stroke hate in the mid 2000s. As someone who has ridden for 25 years, I'll admit knowing the time of gas bike superiority may be over makes me a bit sad, but I'm excited for the future.
Yeap. I thought four strokes were dorky as heck. My dad bought a first year YZ250F and I made fun of him for being fat and old. Then I rode it, and then I stole it for that arenacross season. I was the only kid on a 250F that year. The next year the local shop hooked me up with a CR125. I was almost the only kid NOT on a four stroke.
Great comment , I agree . I love all forms of bikes from vintage right through to super modern . Road and dirt . I love 2 and 4 strokes but I have a varg on order which is a few weeks away . And I can’t wait ! It’s something that will be a whole new experience. I think from everything I’ve seen that the riding experience will be superior to any gas bike but still got love for them
@@Ozfreerider2504 motocross stops for me if this is the future 🤮
@@harm97 I don’t know why people get their emotions so hurt , go ride one they are fun as fuck ! They make gas bikes feel like piles of shit , people who have never ridden one think they will be boring because they don’t have noise and they soon cage their tune after riding one ! I’ve seen the reactions of all of my friends who have been agains them get off the huge grinding den ear to ear and the first thing every person says, fuck it’s fast ! I see it every time , so stop crying about them till you’ve had a go on one . If you are so hurt by the fact they aren’t loud enough to please your small brain good luck in your next hobby . Because they are about to take over !
Great video! I thought the rider triangle on the prototype I sat on was super comfy
Well done AJ 👊 Lovin that Bike ✌️ Appreciate ya 😉
Really glad you like it. Love mine, though struggling with front end wash outs. Found between 55-60hp is a nice sweet spot, any more than that and its too much. Hopefully I can book on one of your tour dates in the UK. Keep up the great work!
Thats what most of my team liked as well! Hope to see you in the UK
Great video. What stands out with this bike is that it’s the fastest bike. And yet the best beginners bike. You can even let your toothless grandma ride it safely, just tune it down to 15 hp. Everyone is loving it.
Would be great if you could do more Stark Varg content.
I have been waiting for your review on this incredible bike AJ.
GREAT REVIEW, and I look forward to more stark stuff.
Cheers mate
From Australia 🦘
Thanks! Glad to hear it. Definitely more Stark content coming your way.
Yeah it's blowing people's minds! And I'm really surprised that I haven't seen any videos of people riding 80hp regularly & talking about the difference to a 450. It's gotta be the best bike ever, for sure. Every pro-level rider that tries it basically is blown away in the first 5 minutes & comes back with stories of doing things they've never done on a gas bike. If I rode tracks I'd want one for sure.
I think that's because it lasts like 10 minutes on 80hp, and 450s can output much more horsepower than they are, but people don't want that
And, as ive heard, there is power loss the closer to 0% you get. So the triple you did in min 5 of the race...may not be doable by min 25 of the race.
@@whiteknight1246it doesn’t drop until around the last 15% so yea depending on the track etc. at the end of the moto you might get a slight drop but it’s not much from my experience.
@@Runk3lsmcdougalyea 450s could be tuned to hit higher numbers but they get peaky power bands the more you try and get out of them. I think that’s why the varg feels faster than you would think even at lower power because you get that power the whole time, no shifting or power bands.
@@BarrettMeeker867450 could get higher HP numbers (but so could the Varg), but the torque numbers on a 450 aren’t even remotely close.
This is so cool!! 👍
Nice video Aj! Nobody talks about the frame, and i’m wondering what you think of it? Does it feel like a ktm, a bit stiff or more flex style? Just wondering!
This is a great video. Awesome bike!!!
Awesome! For someone learning motocross what power setting would you recommend? I’ve mostly been doing 35 hp but wonder if I should be trying to get used to more like 40 or 45.
I think that 35 is plenty!
Looks fun. Would be similar to riding a down hill bike. What is the brake lever placement? Downhill mtb set up front on left, rear on right? Can it be tailored to each riders brake preference?
It's awesome bike can't wait get mine
Congrats on the offspring! It's inspiring to see great folk expanding their legacy!
bike is amazing
Can’t wait for mine. Delivery is set for May. 80HP, white.
Congrats!
How about how stable it is! Feels like there's a gyro in it holding it up. My mind was absolutely blown away at the handling.
Personally, I've ordered one mainly because it should need very little maintenance to the motor and:
1- I dislike dealing with professional mechanics,
2- I like doing maintenance myself from time to time but not with the frequency needed by a typical gasoline powered dirtbike.
I've tried one: I was blatantly faster than with my 2 stroke and I had a lot of fun.
Yes the battery is the main problem and not a negligible one but I think it should last decently for an afternoon at the track, besides I can ask for current supply like those guys who come to the track with a caravan; they may use it to run a refrigerator etc.; I'll use the current to keep the battery charged as much as I can.
Bottom line: I yet have to find the perfect dirtbike but I think I'll love this one and I think it will be the best choice for me; I understand that others may have different needs, priorities and tastes, though.
Really cool perspective! The battery is a big talking point right now, but for a version one its so impressive!
A couple of 48v server rack batteries and inverter should give you 3 charges.
@@Amatronix999
I've watched a video in which someone recharged a Varg using an external battery (in that case, rechargeable via portable solar panels!) As far as I've understood browsing through the internet, that kind of solution is not cheap but not that expensive either... I'll try and get some knowledge about it.
not doing oil changes, airfilters, etc is a huge plus.
Question, and sorry if it’s already been answered. But what are your thoughts on the handbrake versus the foot? I’ve changed my order from the footbrake to the handbrake and now back to the footbrake and I’m gonna leave it at that. I’m kind of thinking I wanna leave my hands free from adding to my arm pump pulling a rear brake. It would be kind of cool if you could have both that were tied together and have the option of hand or foot.
Arm pump can happen when you're not gripping the bike with your legs, reaching for a foot brake can compromise that grip! We found the hand brake great for being able to keep the legs locked to the bike!
@@AjCatanzaro thanks and good info, where were you in my Supercross days? maybe I would’ve won the 87 125 West championship instead of being first loser.😂😂
AJ can I ask is it compatible with beginner all the way up to pro? I know it has the variable power settings but is it really a bike anyone can ride fast? As everyone says?
It really is one bike for all skill levels. If you are of average height and fitness but have beginner skills, you might want to order softer spring and softer clicker settings, like for someone who is 20 lbs lighter than you. The power is adjustable. That's it. You can update the springs later once you improve your skills and become faster. The bike is very easy to ride. An electric motor is not a replacement for skills though. You still need pro skills to keep up with pro riders.
When will Stark make change-out battery packs? Like in r/c cars? That will be the real game changer. Have several, fully charged for race day. Swap a fresh one between motos.
The beginning of a new era. Game changer, and I love 2 strokes. Hopefully the thing will last next to forever and if it does then we really have something. I hate cleaning and changing air filters.
I'm sure it won't be long!
Would it be good for enduro
AJ's top 3 favorite bikes:
1. Stark Varg
2. Red bike
3. Jubilee Winterstone's KDX200
Might have to do a Stark vs KDX soon...
Could tell it was actually too fast in mode 5. I think it sounds great.
Curious to know what the durability/reliability will be for these bikes because I’d be interested to not have to clean/replace air filters and change oil every ride, not to mention adjusting valves and rebuilding the motor multiple times a year as part of “regular” maintenance.
Absolutely!
They should offer an option where u gett Bluetooth speakers that go in your helmet that pipe in 2 stroke sound
So sick. I think this would be good both for fun but also for newbies that are scared of jumping. They could get used to big air time
I have a E RIde Pro (like a Surron), Electric bikes are fun to ride and it is easier to keep good foot technic because you do not have to move them to shift or brake. They accelerate fast. It would be nice if they made a Stark that was much cheaper and only had like 40 HP max. But I Think all the cost is in the Battery and Motor. But I know that Horse power is not hard to come by in electric. So that is why cost will probably be high for a while.
I think Stark was originally going to have a lower hp model, but it appears they dropped the idea…at least for now.
Edit: Looks like they do have the 60hp max option already.
@@AsixA6 I remember seeing 80hp option for like $18,000. 60Hp option i Think is $13000.
@@kosmoman54 I saw that it’s $1k less than the 80hp.
Man that thing looks so Fun and super Fast awesome #AjCatanzaro
This bike is a fire breathing dragon but the sound it produces is kinda cheap, love the bike, it’s a super piece of engineering, fast AF but unique in it’s own way.
2 strokes, 4 Strokes, electric…
Same purpose but so different from one another.
I honestly think the bike looks mint. If you are not into electric dirt bikes that is cool too just keep riding your gas powered bikes nothing wrong with that. Only thing is I wish it had a rear brake as well. Last thing I want to do is mess around with the front brake lever while having major arm pump. Seems a little sketchy with jumping as you can’t really judge it by how much RPMs your bike has coming up to a jump. Overall I think it’s cool.
They offer foot or hand brake versions. 💪🏼 Jumping wouldn't be as different as you'd think since you can hear the electric motor revving up as well I believe.
Also you have to use the clutch when you have arm pump, why would it be more difficult to use the brake then the clutch?
Then buy with rear foot brake. You can also have it setup for both with foot and left hand rear brake at the same time via aftermarket.
It has a rear brake, hand or foot. Hand is vastly superior, why anyone would buy it with a foot brake i have no idea.
It would be cool if Arenacross went fully electric. Most indoor stadium have poor ventilation. Breathing in the fumes sux.
That bike is sick!! Take it in the ct trails or spots where they kick you out….. never again on that 90mph beast send it!!!!
I'm very tall and find shifting gears uncomfortable, loved the husky auto's of yesteryear and KNOW I'd love this
You absolutely would! Definitely worth a try.
It blows my mind that all these professional riders are loving these bikes but there’s 300 pound dads everywhere that are hating on it because it doesn’t compare to their 30 year old 2 stroke
That's because they're politicizing it in their deluded little minds. You're obviously an America hating trans liberal if you like these fast AF e-bikes.
you can ride a 2 stroke for hours as long as you have gas.... this takes a 8 hour charge every 28 minutes..... he showed the ride time and yall still are saying its great.... yes its amazingly powerful but these riders are sponsored to make these videos. i love the varg but building your own is better if you want time on trails
@@MisterRoads do you own a stark? I bet not. That’s why you don’t know anything about it. 2 hours to charge from 20% to 100% on 120v. Charge at 240v and it’s an hour. Absolutely nobody can ride a bike all day, nonstop. I have never ran out of battery on trail rides, never. I am always drained before the battery.

My pre-order is ready, I don't know if I want to sell my Honda to buy it... It's so tempting!
Sell it. Don't look back.
At least for me. It’s about a 4 month wait after they say your preorder is ready. I’m into the 3rd month, and they are finally setting up for shipping it out, which can take a about month to get to the USA.
The wait is easily double what the 6-8 weeks that they mentioned once it’s “ready for build”.
dont do it, 28 minutes of ride time for an 8 hour charge....
@@MisterRoads don’t listen to this guy, he has no idea what he’s talking about. Where do you get your misinformation?
@@MisterRoads Not true. You can charge on 220volt at 1% per minute. 110 volt 0.5% per min. Run times vary widely on rider ability and conditions.

AJ WE NEED YOU IN CATANZARO🗣️🗣️
I’ll have to come visit this year! 😁
@@AjCatanzaro I'd be happy to actually see you there and maybe ride with you i cant lie😂
Nvm on that which wont ever be allowed to race .. im dyin to see the Ducati Dezmo 450 which will be in the U.S. racing in 2026 and racing in Europe etc in 24' & 25'. It looks like a Honda and KTM took all the best aspects of their bikes and had a baby with Brembo brakes and a few other top of the line parts. The frame, swing arm, motor, suspension etc all the best designs from other factory bikes. Motor supposedly has tech capabilities of going to 15-20k rpm on a 4stroke 450 which is crazy! Not surprised with a brand like Ducati and how their super N sport bikes are. Def the bike I'm most excited about for sure
This thing is the future boys for sure
AJ that stark at 80hp you could hardly kep the front wheel on the ground....did you notice the extra weight ? and do you think you could do 2 motos without charging?
There's no way it's going 30+2, twice, without charging.
So many different variables in battery life some people it seems to last 2,3 hours or for some barely 30 min on a tilled up deep track
True! For a V1 Its extremely impressive.
Great video AJ . Yeah that awful arm pump , I personally hate it with a passion , you know in your mind that you have the experience and ability to just kill it , but soon as that arm pump starts it's over. Anyway I'm planning on buying my last motocross bike in the near future and I want to go electric . Stark Varg is definitely on the list , but deep inside I'm hoping for Honda to step up with my decision.
Will they be on sale at Walmart
You going to put it on layaway? Maybe they can do check deductions? 4-5 years you might own one 😂
still can’t find the address to this track anyone know?
Moto Bros Punta Gorda!
I watch your short videos from time to time but i wasn't subscribed, I read a comment on your scrub bideo on the stark, it said you lost a subscriber due to riding the stark. I am letting you know that what you lost due to the "E-haters" you have also gained. Also i saw a video where you were wearing the mobius 8 wrist brace, but weren't promoting it, I bought one immediately 😂 that thing is a game changer for me. I hope i can catch a session with you the next time you make it out to AZ!!
Awesome to hear! Thanks for the kind words. The ratio of people who say they are unsubscribing to those who actually do is very low haha. I'll be at Motoland in AZ Feb 23rd!
@AjCatanzaro I like the moto stuff and all but I'm far more interested in taking the ktm into its natural environment and learning how concur 10" rock walls🤣
Sick! My turn next haha
I love how I see so much hate for it. Just like the four stroke did, however… anybody and everybody regardless if they want to admit it, say it’s incredible. I can’t wait to have a go on one.
four strokes were a mess in the beginning
how's the weight and what was the battery at after u rode it, looked like you put very little time on it and the battery was drained 20%.
its not hard making a electric bike fast, but making it last a whole day at the track,
theirs a reason why alta had issues
The camera is cut from various points on the day, we didn't worry too much about the battery life the day we had it. But it was enough for everyone on the team to have a good time on it!
Easily the best dirtbike ever. Glad you finally got to ride one! PS: Thunder (yes, thats his real name) is a rad dude!
That's an ignorant thing to say. I guess I shouldn't be surprised

Im sold.
i knew a 9.9 was comin.
curious how one of these would stand up to a mudder like the SF sx since Tesla cars can brick themselves just going thru a puddle (and no Tesla wont warranty the repairs)
That's BS. That famous story is from driving through deep flooding, not a puddle. I've driven mine through mildly flooded roads and no issues at all. I'm not an idiot, i'm not going to ford a river with a car, gas or electric. If they bricked from driving through puddles, every single one would be bricked. Use your brain, don't just accept BS articles as reality.
Most of these ebikes can operate under water. Josh Hill rode his Alta through a swimming pool in a video and I’ve seen KTM Freerides well below the handlebars… Mine’s been in very wet conditions and “header pipe deep” water crossings. They need to be able to withstand pressure washing etc..
@@JohnHowerton137 good to hear, thinking about it pressure washing for sure would require they be mostly waterproof
@@Sleepy.Time. if they have a removable battery they will suggest removing it if pressure washing, but honestly common sense comes into play too. It's really no different than blasting the hell out of gaskets and bearing seals on a gas bike. High pressure water gets into things and ruins it if done brainlessly. So not really an issue unless you make it one.
I think id be fine with these especially if/when they use real dirt bike sounds as an option to activate or deactivate. I would be willing to sacrifice some battery life for an extremely loud high quality bose like sound system on these so we can still look & sound as cool as b4. There was a car movie where they added amazing engine sounds to non engine cars...forget what it was called & if they could implement that...these would 100% be even more widely accepted. Youd have to use actual real 2 & 4 stroke notes ofc.
No. Embrace it for what it is, don't try to make it what it isn't.
You would look far less cool riding that thing around blasting fake noises out of speakers 😅
if you want the noise just get a real one. i went from gas to ebike now im back on gas
They will never add artificial noise. 🤦🏽♂️
Agree to disagree. It would look silly if the noise was just there doing its own thing. But to have the noise perfectly lined up with the speed & rpm of the bike would be awesome. Actual bike recordings would make it not so artificial either. I think u underestimate how good Bose speakers really are. If the electric bikes could sound like ice u literally have the best of both worlds. No brainer. Especially when that is the BIGGEST complaint of electric bikes. 🎤
I’ll take his word for it. Future is looking bright - and quiet.
thing is gas engine bikes have had so many huge company budgets already constantly working on improving them for decades and this small company basically just started making these Stark E bikes, so i think the rapid tech advancement on these can also be far greater once alot more minds and money jump on the E bike bandwagon.... This 80 hp dirt bike is already more than enough power for anybody but i still think in just a few yrs they can end up being even much more powerful, and no doubt with lighter batteries too and will also have more range !
Absolutely. This will be the WORST one they ever make. And its incredible.
🔥
i couldnt do the hand brake
How would it do in a mud race though 😅
Only problems is battery that’s it but the hardly any maintenance is very appealing
For a first version of a new technology it's extremely impressive!
@@AjCatanzaro I agree few more years batteries won’t be a problem
@@user-ep6wd7ip7v I hope that's the case but I think it will take a break through and so far that hasn't happened. I love my varg but it's battery is only a tad bigger than the Alta bike from 2016, kind of shows battery tech hasn't moved that fast unfortunately. Charging has gotten quite a bit faster though at least. There are some EV's that can get ~200 mile range charge in 15 minutes. Stark isn't too bad around 1 hour to charge
@@BarrettMeeker867 yea I wouldn’t want to just do 20 min moto then wait hr to ride again haha
@@user-ep6wd7ip7v You wouldn't 20 minutes even at the pro level is only going to be around 60% battery so ~15 mins and you could do another 20.
For me at our local track I get about 1.5 hours on the track with one battery no charging. Sand etc. and how fast you are will make a big difference.
For my son and I if we charge every break we can basically ride all day but I'm slow so... ;)
As long as we will always have a fuel bike option.
What track is this
Moto Bros Punta Gorda.
Its almost the perfect bike. Now, if there was a way to somehow make it sound like a 2 stroke, that would make it a 10/10 for me. Nothing compares to the 2 stoke sound lol
I prefer the growl of a four stroke personally.
@@DeezuLL either one of them sound better than that stark lol
I prefer grizzly bear growls and anime waifu "uwus" when I shift
Next is Hydrogen. We all love our gas dirt bikes. Unfortunately for us most of the powers that be hate them and us. Always have. When I was a kid in SoCal we had motocross tracks and riding areas literally everywhere. The best track and most famous tracks were all in CA. We used to ride and shoot from our house. Now, most of them are long gone.
Maybe, just maybe e-bikes will open a bunch of new areas. Probably not in Commifornia but elsewhere for sure. I'd imagine parks for e-bikes only just as there will more than likely be e-bike-only races along with our 4-strokes and 2-strokes. I like all things 2 wheels. Technology advances. Sure be nice to have an intermission race in SX with e-bikes.
Does the stark come with electric start? There’s no rear foot brake ? Why not?
No sadly, old snowmobile type pull start...
Lol I really want to ride one. Just to experience the 80hp on dirt. Stock 450 is way to much for me and most folks.
@@AjCatanzaro😂
super amateur rider here on a 250cc bike, and haven't ride an electric bike, but I think the only downside is the mid air adjustment with the throttle, it is lost for the electric bikes. You can still do "brake tap" adjustment though
What, no you have like 100xs more adjustment in the air on an electric bike. You can loop out an electric bike in the air lol, there is no gears, when you go wide open on an electric bike it will spin that wheel to what a gas bike would 5th gear tapped, unlike your gas if you were in say 2nd gear.
its way easier, throttle is the same but more responsive in the air because your always in max gear. and braking in the air you don't have to worry about clutch or stalling it.
Jake Nicholls (former mxgp rider) was actually very disappointed in the Vargs performance in his latest video
How much they paying you?

The guy that was given a bike said its great!
It’s great because it is. I rode an Alta and was blown away on how much better it was to my 250 smoker.
Get over it.
@@Grezza420 yeah you couldnt ride a 2 stroke so you went to a gearless clutch less bike and it was easier to ride we get it
It looks very fast. I feel like it pulls too hard and with the heavy weight of it that it would tire out the rider prematurely. Maybe mode 4 would be a better option.
Wow your figure looks great! Congratulations 😅😅😅
track didnt do 80hp justice, get that monster to glen helen
Good idea!
I don't like the no rear brake thing...I mean not having it where it has always been.
It still has one. It’s just a hand brake.
It's the buyers choice, it comes with a normal foot brake if you want one.
this bike would kill me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I watched a great review, comparison against a 250 4s. The stark sucked when set at 250 HP. It needs to run at 450 HP to work properly.
Till it catches fire 😅
You're right, gas never would...
@AjCatanzaro gas does too, but I seen alot more vids on E cars ,and bikes catch fire my neighbor 4 house down had his tesla catch fire in the garage , fire dept couldn't do absolutely nothing, his house burnt down to the ground, lithium fires are very dangerous and hazardous worse then gas vehicles or bikes

And EVs in general (same age of vehicle) burn way less per vehicle than diesels or gas cars...
They should add the foot brake and some kind of e-clutch like the electronic trials bikes...
i may be mistaken but i think you can get a foot brake as a cost option.
You can order with a hand or a foot brake.
@@didickcheeseburger Cool. Good info. Haven't really looked into them. Think riding without foot brake would be sketch as heck!

Best E-bike ever. Far from a real motorcycle.
LOL... the type of powerplant doesn't change what a "real motorcycle" is. Apparently, you need to do some research to learn what a motorcycle is.
@@kurtheidelbach it's an opinion.
@@1176hambone It's not an opinion there are factual definitions of what motorcycles are. Some are even dumb enough to believe than an ICE engine is correlated to the term "motor"cycle.
And 😂when that fake motorcycle/e bike is passing you on the track?
@@kurtheidelbach Haha! I wonder why hambone doesn't call them enginecycles.......🤣🤣🤣
seems sweet but i would still prefer the long BRAAP 😂
Braaap has been long gone since 4 strokes.....please do not associate braaap with 4 strokes. Learn your math.....braaap was 2 strokes.....
@@ScottPaulConleyim sorry i never said anything about a 4 stroke
People that like them are into speed. People that don’t like noise.
Its a crime shame its so good 😂, 9.9 rideablitly yes but where does it stack up in cost compared, probably a 3 there for its a 👎 im sure people would agree, how will the advantage person afford one that rides💰, plus spare batteries💰charging points at tracks boosts prices up for practice sessions💰, its a big 👎, although I would definitely have a go
The long term cost of owning one would definitely even out or be worth it considering maintenance comes down to suspension and tightening your chain.
@@AjCatanzaro maybe just maybe, it will definitely take long to put that into practice, I will say 2 weeks ago I was booing the stark varg at arenacross but this video and your opinion has definitely got my attention, convincing the motorcross world is going to be hard, pushing trial days is definitely a must to convince riders, early day's but I can now definitely see a future in the varg just look at formula e, its slowly picking up after coming in with a slow start, you've done the stark varg a plus on this 👍, stay safe aj
@@davidbeck4429 I wouldn't do spare batteries for the varg they are $7k and aren't that easy to change on the varg. Instead you can get a 240v generator for a little overy $1k and do about a full charge in an hour. I do a similar setup with my son's electric KTM and it works well. I haven't quite needed to get a generator yet for my varg though as I get 1.5-2 hours of riding on mine so far. (at 35 hp beginner mx pace)
I raced a sur-ron last year in a couple 2-hour hare scramble and based on that I think I could do a full 2-hour hare scramble on the varg at least the types we have hear which are only averaging 15 mph or so.
@@BarrettMeeker867 exactly my point buddy, what if the battery goes knackered, which it will, also not everyone can afford a brand new bike so who's going to spend thousands on a second hand battery powered bike?, not me lol
@@AjCatanzaro battery decay remains an issue/question. along with warranty(?) fwiw, they're super responsive and supportive of for current owners, but that's a small sample at present.
The sound is so weird , haven’t gotten used to it . I’m not ready
Have you ridden one yet?
I liked the sound while I was riding it…the sound builds up as the speed builds up…kinda like jet. I think if people ride it they’ll be fine with it or like me they’ll like it
@@karlgutsche1601 Yea I love the sound. Varg sounds much better than a sur-ron I think. Although I can't help but compare it to a futuristic vacuum cleaner sound lol
