I think your current way of eating is spot on the best long term solution. I’ve been veg since 1996, vegan since 2002, high/ med-high raw since 2010. I eat vary similar to you. High raw, but cooked grains, legumes, mushrooms, etc. The all or nothing approach usually doesn’t end well. I feel I can easily eat this way forever. Edit: I also think age plays a factor. I’m almost 44, I’m definitely eating a little less fruit now then I did in my 20s- late 30s.

Thanks for the video,John. I eat mostly raw,but the problem with cooked/ stemmed veggies is calcium, especially those green leafy vegetables, that contain calcium and oxalic acid. “ When the oxalic acid has become inorganic by cooking …the foods that contain it,then this acid forms an interlocking compound with the calcium….this results in such a serious deficiency of calcium that it has been known to cause decomposition of the bones…..it often results in causing inorganic oxalic acid crystals to form in the kidneys.”(N.W.Walker,D.Sc) My eating cooked foods, especially the above mentioned, but also any heat processed foods, that contain calcium( which becomes inorganic when heated),resulted in collection of calcium crystals in my joints. Some people don’t seem to have problem with calcium deposits in joints, but I personally think, that calcium collects in other, more life threatening places such as arteries, bladder, kidneys or gallbladder.

I've been about 55 to 65% raw for the past 9 months. Feels amazing. I do eat heat-processed rice, heat-processed veggie burgers, and heat-processed vegan pizzas. Sometimes I also include some fire-processed vegan BBQ that I make on holidays.

Some steam and lightly cooked not overheated food is good... Especially in the winter time. It's ridiculous to think of eating watermelon and a cold 28° weather rainy outside.. we should eat according to the seasons.. that's why watermelon grows in the hot summer months because we need that.. cooling watery hydration food... But every time we do eat cooked food we draw enzymes from the body that are stored and when we finally die we die from lack of enzymes so the more Raw foods you eat you should have longevity...
Jesus said to Thomas when he asked Masters how should we eat and he said if you eat things that are living you shall live and if you eat things that are dead you shall die...
Everyone has different opinions... I believe they are seasons for a reason 👌
