#summary
In the video, John Kohler from okraw.com provides a concise guide on how to initiate or re-embrace a raw vegan diet in five straightforward steps. First and foremost, he stresses the significance of having a clear and compelling reason for adopting this lifestyle, emphasizing that a strong motivation serves as a crucial anchor for staying committed to the diet. John then underscores the importance of making raw vegan foods readily available by cultivating a home garden or consistently stocking up on a variety of fruits and vegetables during grocery trips. He recommends keeping these foods visible and easily accessible to encourage regular consumption.
Additionally, John suggests practical ways to integrate raw vegan options into daily meals, such as having a salad, making fresh juice, or enjoying a green smoothie. He encourages viewers to prioritize these choices over less healthy alternatives, effectively displacing them from their diets. To address potential time constraints or fatigue, John recommends preparing large quantities of raw meals in advance, such as salads or juices, and storing them for quick and convenient consumption. Throughout the video, he emphasizes the importance of setting realistic goals and gradually increasing the percentage of raw foods in one's diet to foster a sustainable transition to a healthier lifestyle.

Been veg since 2005 and never get sick unless I drank alcohol. Now that alcohol is out of my life, getting sick doesn't happen for me. Been over 90% raw for about two weeks now. I feel excellent!! Great video
Congrats on the 90%. I’m trying to commit to 70% raw plant diet..at least lol.
@@girlanonymous right on. You can do it. Main thing is give thanks to the Almighty and enjoy whatever you do.
just ate a massive salad. I'm about to pop lol
Funny, you mentioned your friend with arthritis. I have severe arthritis in my SI joint in the last year... So come Monday. I pulled out my namaj2 and started juicing purple cabbage to green apples piece of ginger and then yesterday I had cucumber, parsley, cilantro, lemon, green, apple. And my arthritis is already better and I mean it was so painful. I can't stand up straight but today I'm better. So I just kind of keep on juicing and only drink juices for the next 30 days to see how my body responds to this. Thank you for always sharing John. Peace out
I eat meat every once and awhile (not often just enough to no longer need iron infusions), minimal to zero processed food, but honestly feel energetic when I eat/drink fresh veggies n fruit all day. I am going to try to commit to 70% raw plant based diet.
chimpanzee, Orangutan and Macaque monkeys all eat meat given the chance but you also see them eat alot of Coconuts, Greens and dirty water with Algae.
Love your shirt!!!
Great tips! I’ve been raw felt like I turned back time. Then got into a new relationship and deviated back to cooked vegan at first only Whole Foods then little by little added processed junk into my consumption! Like your friend I’m now experiencing all sorts of mucus congestion! Working my way back to raw this time is going to be permanent yet more challenging than the first time. I will achieve it! Thank you for this video! 🙏
Thank you John! Everyone benefits from these simple tips
Thank you Jon for all your inspiration and knowledge 🙏❤
Thanks John for the inspiration to get back on track! I agree with everything you covered, especially on coming home to eat and just not being motivated to go to the trouble of preparing a raw meal when it's much easier and more tempting to eat other things. Someday I hope to grow my own greens too! Cheers!
Thanks for your tips. Just one question: please tell us in your case, for the weighyou have, how much kilograms of food you eat a day, including all the meals you have a day. I 90% raw, I am 177cm tall and my weight is 63kg, and i eat almost between 2,5 to 3kg of food everyday, what it seems for me too much, but if i do not do it, my weight goes down quickly and i do not feel so well. Thanks for your comments.
Thank you Jon. Love all that you share.
Sometimes salads are difficult because of the chewing involved. I have a few missing teeth and arthritis in my jaw so other ideas are good.
You can have a lot of those foods just chop really Small or put them in a food processor does most of the chomping for you l o l
You can also make smoothies for the fiber.
Solid advice 🏆
I’m trying to go raw and doing my research on it. I need recipes and ideas.
Don't call me your garden.Looks absolutely amazing! agree, You need to keep healthy foods around, And keep as many unhealthy foods out of the house😊
Jon do you eat chia/flax daily? If so how much?
My problem is I can make a salad everyday but I get stuck with the dressing like I just want it to be easy and simple so any suggestions on a simple quick dressing to throw on a salad? Please help 🙏🏼
Sweet, acid, salt and fat. Works every time
@@cel4lyfname actual ingredients because sweet salt and acids are not ingredient names.
@@girlanonymous That's a base for a delicious dressing. You've got to play with that. Lime, lemon, vinegar (acid), Marple syrup or honey (sweet), salt, olive oil. I don't measure anything I just play with the ingredients until I get a desired taste. You can add coconut aminos. Also we have a lot of free recipes in the internet. Look for them. Where there's a will there's a way
My favorite is to take a spoonful of hummus, put it in a little bowl with some water and a squeeze of lemon. Instant lemon tahini!! Low fat and low salt but delicious!🙌🏼
:)
