Mine is almost 6 yrs old & it looks & works flawless. Id love to get a new one but im in love w/ my 18 w/ 44,000 miles. Ive owned SRX & XT5 now 10 yrs total, other than batteries ive changed 1 Oxygen sensor on the X & a wheel bearing on the SRX. I love it.
Thank you for your owners insight 👍
Good review. Unfortunately Cadillac still only offers medium power for the XT5. I wish they would come out with an XT5-V version. Drop in a 3.0-3.6 liter V6 with 400-450 HP, some 21" wheels and a sport exhaust. Give it a little teeth so to speak. Family guys would be getting in line to get their hands on one.
That is a great point
It's still better than all the competitors only offering 4 cylinder turbos
I like the styling it is very distinctive where the others in its class are rather mundane except for the BMW X6. which I also like. The XT6 Sports offers a lot of features and its performance feels much better than the numbers project, as you mention. I would like to see a V option which would include the twin turbo V-6 and a beefed up (Stiffer Suspension). All in all a very nice Cross Over.
I agree a V series would be awesome 👍
Thanks for watching let us know what you think in the comments and give a 👍.
NICE 😍
They are nice vehicles 👍
The heads up display you said isn't there is an option in the Technology package.
This is true but my point is the space that shows on the dash 👍
Comparing the Cadillac with the Blazer and I own a Camaro. Which would I enjoy more?
The Cadillac has a little more power but I like the RS Blazer. It feels more playful on the road.
Does this XT5 V6 have the AFM(cylinder deactivation) system that reduces it to a 4, or 3, cylinder engine? (I've read their is a class action lawsuit about AFM causing lifter damage.) If it does come with AFM, is there a way to stop it, with maybe using "Sport" mode, of maybe an aftermarket device to stop it from working? (I've also read that some GM vehicles no longer have AFM, because it was not really saving fuel.) Thank you...
Some models don’t have it due to the chip shortage but if you have it they do make a plug and play. But I would use with caution as any aftermarket parts can void warranty and or effect the vehicle 👍
@@HawkeyeRides It's kind of a moot point to me now. I own a 2021 Lincoln Nautilus & was planning to replace it with a 2024, until I learned Lincoln is moving their Nautilus production to China. That's when I started looking-into the Cadillac XT5. I just discovered Cadillac is moving their XT5 production to China as well. I'm now looking for a similar sized SUV from other manufacturers. I won't purchase a vehicle made in China...
@@jamesjones8482 I went with Infiniti after my Caddy been with them now over 11 years (3 different vehicles), all of them never a problem and the last one we just traded had over 169k. We now have the 2023 which I’m doing aftermarket work on and will put a review after it’s completed 😁
Yes, this one has AFM.
👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Sam
I own a 2013 Cadillac SRX Luxury Performance and it's Infotainment System appear larger than this 2023. I don't get it.
They do have a turbo 4 which i would go to the v6 👍
What Chevy platform does this vehicle share?
cx11 platform: GMC Terrain GMC Acadia Chevrolet Blazer Chevrolet Equinox
@@HawkeyeRides, thanks. I was wondering if the size of the XT5 was the same as a Blazer, or Equinox.
@@kurtp5379 the Equinox is the smallest at 183.1 inches the Blazer is the largest at 191.9 inches. The XT5 is the middles size of both at 189.6. Inside space is more for the 2nd row on the XT5 but cargo is a touch more on the Blazer.
@@HawkeyeRides, thanks for the quick helpful information.
Did you say this thing can only tow 1,000 lb. ?
Yes unless you get it down though Cadillac then it’s 3500 lbs
The Side body lines are so OUT.
Hyundai does it too but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea
It looks and feels so outdated and old. On a top of all it is unreasonable expensive.
It’s not everyone fav 👍
XT5 focuses more on dependability than luxury European SUVs, and it can last for 500,000 miles if well-maintained.
