Thank you so so much 😊 for looking at video footage of these PD responses 😊
My Humble opinion with DRONES, if a RP calls the Department 911 and the Drone flies out to THAT address. The Drone can NEVER enter the home, "OK" so it flies over the house, that can be argued in Court about violating the 4th. Amendment, but really how is it any different than the PD officers coming to the people who made the 911 call in first place. It's just a pre arrival of the human ( PD person) I love your evaluation of all these calls. Especially in today's upload video to the world.
Like you Brilliantly said, those people will never come defend you, and the majority of First Amendment Auditors, want to see cops get hung out to dry.

I spent 14 years in CA before moving to an area that borders tribal land. The way that guy handled that situation probably got him a medal and promoted. A Cop in CA would lose his job and go to jail. One of those places the protesters will think twice about returning to. The other place will just put up with this until there are no police left nand their citizens are left to the chaos.

I agree it’s tribal land and these officers don’t mess around these climate protesters can’t block traffic like that, if a citizen touches them it’s assault but they deserve every last bit. The standing rock protesters did the same thing causing millions in damage and massive amounts of trash in The water. And the cop that out the pit maneuver and pulled that kid out was perfect that man hit innocent people and could have ended a lot worse

Don’t be so melodramatic.🤦🏻🙄🤣 Plus, people chain to a trailer does not pose an immediate threat to anyone’s life that would warrant an officer to ram his truck into that trailer, destroying government property, his own patrol vehicle and pull his gun out and go hands on. Granted this would piss me off if I had to deal with these climate clowns but again the officer could have cut the chain and simply pushed the trailer out of the way but because you disagree with them politically anything goes right?🤦🏻

I really do like you guys. Especially considering you're Cali cops. However, you're clearly looking at these from the lens of California policing. Again, I don't have a problem with you two, but I do have a problem with the way California in general conducts it's police work. My agency chases until the wheels fall off. We do that because we don't want people fleeing every time we initiate a stop. If there's no consequence to fleeing, then why wouldn't they flee? Y'all are entitled to your opinion, but the rest of the states do policing very different than California, New York, Oregon, etc.

Honestly if a police department is putting the public in more risk then necessary you are no longer serving the public rather than ego plus there’s ways to catch people at a later time that doesn’t put the public at risk half the time after police make this huge effort to catch someone they are released on bail the very next day so why risk your life or anyone else’s for a minor offense when you can follow from a distance and wait for them to be of guard people gotta sleep sometime?

That pursuit makes me think of how lights and sirens aren't always seen or heard. Don't assume code 3, or even code 2, gives you a clear path. That "clear left" and "right" wouldn't have given them any time to react. Add in something like a kid running out in front of you to see the lights when they hear the sirens. Be extremely careful when running code.

Both bad guys were clear and ongoing danger to the Public at large. Both needed to be stopped. There was a local chase awhile back, similar to the 2nd vid. Policy said the pursuing unit stopped at every red light before continuing, and no pits. Bad guys t-boned a cab at 70+ in a downtown setting. Both victims died. Had the pursuing unit been able to close and pit, those ppl would be alive today. Dopnt lose sight of what our job is, and yes, I have 35 yrs on the Job.

In the uk, high speed pursuit decisions are taken away from the officer in the chase. Authority has to be granted by a officer in control who doesn't have the stress of emotional commitment to the pursuit. The driver on the ground relays road condition, level of recklessness and road/traffic/pedestrian condition. The senior in control then looks at what info and decides if the risk is worth the reward. So they can tell them to drop pursuit or the officer on ground can pull the pursuit. Is it perfect, no, does it help mitigate the issue of the on the ground officer making emotionl or bad decisions...yes, yes it does.

To be fair though, they were warned by the Rangers of Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe prior to when they took vehicular action. I do not particularly endorce the actions taken by law enforcement, however the protestors were refusing/resisting the verbal commands to move out of the roadway. I will not comment on the manner of if they should still be LEO's, however I will comment that all facts should be known before coming to any conclusions of if they should be allowed to enforce and uphold the law, without any oppinionated bias.

We always think of the other ways to handle situations once we have the benefit of hindsight. I truly believe that GA trooper saved lives that day. I think that inexperienced kid may have killed others with his truck, and potentially could have hurt the officer as well if it goes pursuit. I agree that policing can be a coin toss, and that choosing the safest option is critical. But a situation like that HAS to be shut down immediately, to show force to others, and arrest the subject who ran over two people. I agree with your takes on all your other videos, but that one, I think the trooper made the right decisions in the moment.

for the downtown chase, yeah it pains me because in feb 24’ i took my dads beemer out to get some fuel & as i was approaching the only traffic light junction in the town (out skirts of scottish capital, small towns..) i had the green light, people had just and were still waiting to cross, taxi drivers were lining the street as its the main road with the pubs / bars etc so some were taking to one another in between their cabs parked in the taxi waiting lane , as i’m half way through the junction i see head lights approaching from behind & quickly realised something isn’t right so begin to pull over as i do the car is VERY quickly approaching and just as î realised hes going extremely fast hes right behind me i just at that point see the first flashing lights but the cops were at minimum 10/11 seconds behind him so me & no one else had any idea a chase was happening… now keep in mind a populated high street it’s time 20:10 & gets dark at 4 so it’s DARK & it was mildly raining, the junction i was stopped in is on a left hand bend down hill, so the guy in a stolen car smashed in to me totals my car if i didnt stop there he would have pushed me in to the back of the taxis and most likely killed multiple people, some how he didn’t strike another vehicle or pedestrians thank fook however he proceeded through the town and on the the A1 Duel Carriageway IN THE WRONG DIRECTION which then caused multiple cars being written off avoiding him & they only then called off the chase, he got away never been caught no leads nothing & to be honest that doesnt annoy me. what does is the cops had been chasing him from a place called dunns which is at the speed he’s going 1h 10mins so called it 2 hours away and they didnt pit or stop him then and as they came into the town i was in it’s genuinely a miracle he didn’t kill anyone. now im saying this because i have both the front & rear facing dash cameras and a whole load of crash scene + damage images, i’d love to send them so you guys 1. if you’re interested & 2. i’d be really interested to hear what your opinions are etc just in a message or email if there’s one to contact by. i’ll mention here it’s not my goal or reason to post but if you do watch them and want to upload a segment or whatever you have my permission to do as you what ever, i’d just love to hear your opinions by text!
only other thing is ive seen a LOT of georgia & Arkansas state troopers getting reaaaal pitter happy in video’s recently like the last video you played they seem to be allowed to therefore they just go straight for a pit within what feels like less than ten maybe twenty seconds the moment they don’t immediately begin to pull over boom pittem. i think you’re correct with the last one as i’m a big big car guy albeit not been to a meet for nearly ten years keep to myself now, i would have if i ever did get pulled & i have seen others just drive down the street make a turn and stop otherwise quite literally a couple hundred people will run up ohhh aaahhh yooooo *world star* all filming and you dont want that. and like y’all said he’s lucky it wasn’t a meth head that stuck him in the forever box doing an action man!

I 100% disagree with your assessment of the first video. Have you ever been stuck on a road in the middle of the summer in the desert? I have and its not fun at all (especially in a car that overheats so no sitting ideling and no ac). Protest all you want just not in the road or preventing people from their daily lives.

You say that when people think it’s cool for the officer to pursue and pit at high speeds, it’s just gonna create a generation of bad officers that think it’s ok…. What about the flip side? If you want to get away from the police, just drive as fast and wreckless as possible on surface streets, and they won’t pursue…. There’s so much crime in the US now, bc we are too soft on criminals. Criminals don’t go to jail/prison to be rehabilitated, they go to be punished,, and they end up being institutionalized,,, they get out, then go back in… and it’s the innocent victims of their crimes that suffer

People blocking a highway for some cause that is probably just being uninformed, it’s right either. And to do it on tribal land ? That isn’t land that they should be protesting on. Remember that was nothing more than a invasion on Indian land.

thats not really fair..if i had to guess you've never done the job or risked anything for someone you don't know like these guys have. even liberal states like cali have patriots like this guy risking their life to protect their communities, and i guarantee they aren't aligned with the things that make cali suck. when did you go through the academy? never? dust the cheetos off your fingers and get back to call of duty bro. theyre explaining tactics to educate people on whats safe / risk vs reward. if youve done the job you'd get it.

Don't like drones over any private property. Fencing is there for our privacy. Drones negates that privacy and is ripe for abuse. Messaging is irrelevant to me other than to get people comfortable with the increased loss of their privacy. As always technology advances and the law doesn't.

Reference the last video, I’m ok with the pit. I don’t disagree with your alternatives but an immediate pit for someone hitting people with their car I feel is appropriate. Running up to the car is an old school thing that’s still alive and well unfortunately. With VCQB being what it is today, we know a lot better than that. We’ve all been sucked in but it’s way too dangerous. I voiced concerns about that and it was not well received in my agency.

  • @DoWork316
    @DoWork316 Před 11 měsíci

I agree with the first two vids but respectfully disagree in part with the 3.rd video.
CA agencies in general try to mute any aggressive tendencies in every officer for the appearance of officer safety but it really is about dept liability, in my opinion.
The suspect ran over and possibly killed but seriously injured spectators/pedestrians, in front of the officer. Yes, I would assume that shocked even his conscious. I would believe his emotions to include determination were elevated. Lethal force was justified.
After the PIT the officer is 6-7ft from his front seat to the suspect- a bad place to be if a time is life fight initiates.
The officer, chose to use speed and aggressiveness to get inside the susp ooda loop. And it worked. This officer is obviously physically capable of handling himself and had a higher degree of self confidence than probably many of his co-workers. While it may not look pretty , it worked without any law violations and obviously his dept backed him.
It would be more detrimental to reprimand or say “this is wrong” than to support aggressiveness when applied timely and correctly.
By contrast, let’s look at another violent situation that unfolded in front of officers. Actually, two types; how many domestic violence videos have we seen where violence occurs and either someone is seriously injured or killed in front of officers, but the suspect retreats to a room and officers fail, or choose to not pursue or enter a room? Similarly, how about Uvalde where an active murder was occurring, but because somebody labeled it as a barricade suspect, 100 officers sat outside.
The term officer safety is constantly flooded in every conversation when in my view, does that always outweigh the publics? Had one single officer said “fuck this “and entered the classroom in Uvalde would you still be against it even if he brought it to a successful completion. And what would it take for that successful completion? somebody to be naturally aggressive to make a decision without hesitating in the moment, knowing the circumstances, and using speed and surprise and violence of action in a timely and appropriate condition. Does that mean everyone else can do that? If you just replace the person ?No. should it be shot down and told this is not the correct way? No, I think it’s individual dependent but the public wants to see police step up and protect them and I believe that’s what they saw with this officer and it worked out as often it does.
It Hass to be confusing at some point for officers when measuring tactics to a circumstance unfolding in front of you as compared to one that is already set up and in place. What I mean by that is if there’s an active shooter in school, some agencies are tot first guy go in And take care of business. That should mean you will place yourself in harms way to protect innocent. other agencies say wait to at least get two more so that you have a cell of 3 and then execute the same. However, by contrast, if you have the same sort of violence occurring inside of a home, it’s a domestic you are to set up and maintain a perimeter and either call for additional units or the swat team. So whether a vehicle barricade, classroom barricade or in a residential building is the message don’t do anything let whomever be murdered or killed until we get more people so that you don’t get hurt? And I think that’s why younger officers and even more senior ones in an ever-changing political climate never quite know what to do. So the default is always officer safety. This is exactly why I think reinforcing sound decision making process even at risk to self by officers, such as in this video Should be looked at in a higher value. And I remark only towards self initiated incidents. This is not a hot wash on tactics.
You gentlemen work in Sacramento area which is a very very violent area, so I completely understand where you’re coming from and I know both of you would also take the appropriate amount of risk towards yourself to protect an innocent if you were in that moment, even if it didn’t necessarily look like the right thing to do Because that’s who you are and that should never be looked down upon in my opinion. This segues into leader ship. A good leader will utilize a strong officer with those traits rather than shut him down. It’s much like the old Napoleon quote, I do not fear the hundred lions lead by one sheep, rather than 100 sheep lead by a lion. Law enforcement does not tolerate lions nowadays, but the public wants them.
continuing, Does a hotwash with honest talk need to occur ,agency internal, yes. After every event. We may learn things that the officer saw, smelled, sensed that further explain his course of action and decision process. Never leave out first hand account.
So while for the third video, yes possibly emotions played a part. That would be human nature. But I do not believe the officer was at any point, excessive or unable to bring himself back based on the limited video I saw. So it’s with that totality of the circumstances that I think this video while it may look, the same was different than the other two.
As for Beverly Hills PD. They have private security consisting of a mix of retired, law-enforcement, former law-enforcement and security guards who patrol the neighborhoods and take reports and handle bin priority calls to supplement the low number of officers on the department. So it makes sense, They also utilized a drones to supplement their high crime and limited personnel.
Great video really enjoy your guys podcast👍🏻🇺🇸

Yeah just because your policy allows it doesn’t mean you have to do it. Your on scene of what’s going on or in the thick of the chase or whatever it is, but those policy’s should never outweigh your decision’s or actions. If you see it’s not safe and could harm others or whatever it be sometimes the risk isn’t worth the reward. Get the plate and possibly a description and call it no one is going to get onto you over keeping everyone safe and if they do you’re at the wrong department and needs investigated. It’s not worth risking life over a traffic violation ever. Because action has consequences and you gotta live with that and could be charged and or disciplined for that action and poor judgment. So stay safe and keep others safe.

Just found your channel. Looks interesting. 1st case, looks bad. However it is tribal sovereign land. 2nd case should never have happened in a layman's opinion. Hard to tell with my old eyes but were the ones struck hit prior to the cops arrival or as a result of his arrival. 3rd case. They were lucky nothing really bad happened until the very end. So they caught the rabbit at what cost? A damaged interceptor, a damaged suspects car which might be stolen and worse a damaged suv with possible injuries. Must have been a horrible crime committed to justify such a chase which placed citizens in danger. Winner: the cops. Losers: the suv and the taxpayers who may have to foot the bill.

I like you, but just FYI, you CANNOT give an "unbiased opinion". You are as absolutely incapable of doing that as any other human being. It doesn't necessarily mean your opinion is "wrong" or invaluable, but it's absolutely not "unbiased" (and neither is mine).
Every single moment and experience you've lived through in both your personal life and career has biased your opinions on everything in one way or another. NO "opinion" is unbiased. Period.

We disagree. We have plenty of videos on our channel calling cops out who make mistakes. Our mission when we started this CZcams channel was to remain unbiased and I think we have remained true to this. These guys didn't deserve this. Bad tactics? Maybe, and we will find out. That's another discussion so it doesn't happen again. We are not afraid to call that out.
