Intense story. Thank you Eddie Chan for sharing your story. Job well done to the San Jose Police Department and the Santa Clara Sheriffs Office. Condolences to the families who lost loved ones that day.

Thank you for what you two great 👍 guys do on the Pod casts 😊 so so important on sleep Deprivation. In my Humble opinion Cops need to get SLEEP time. When you're training that M-4 down a hallway you can't have any brain haze, from lack of sleep. So, so glad he told you about the night before.

This is so awesome! So cool you got to interview him. I remember seeing the footage and being super impressed by the tactics and excellent communication.
Is he the guy behind the BWC that took charge of the team?
It always irks me when I see no one take charge, everyone doing their own thing, everyone wanting to be the hero, or everyone hesitating.
It was really refreshing to see him take charge and make such good strategic decisions. Very impressive.
They got lucky when that guy came out and they were able to enter. I hope that part makes it into training - have a way to enter before deploying.
And I can't believe he didn't talk about the pucker factor entering those dark offices with all those desks and hiding places. That was scary to watch.
And then the stairwell area, very impressive tactics again, communicating who is covering the stairwell, who is covering the suspect and who is covering the office to the left.
    Great interview, guys!!
PS. Too bad about the sound at times. Growing pains right!
PPS. Tell Billy the audience misses him.
    -‐-----------
    Question
I'm always concerned when I see so many first responders converge. Is it a concern that a terrorist may take advantage of that? Every time I see a group of police converge, I expect a bomb to go off.
Is that a concern at all in the US?

From him wanting to call off to changing his mind last sec to getting to work with a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach to him being at the A building when he looked up and seen the 6ft A. Hats off to all the officers for running towards the sound of gunfire. UVALDE officers could learn something from these officers. This Sgt even said that he has never worked with almost all of the officers that were there but they still came together and got the job done!! And it was only over 3 min to get it done not like UVALDE 77 MIN. I respect all law enforcement. I could never do what you guys do. Thank you all for your service❀

San Jose only 190 square miles? Here in Texas our counties are from 127 square miles to 6000 square miles. Of course the populations are nowhere near San Jose. The biggest problem is the same with lack of manpower to cover those areas efficiently. Some counties have 1 unit covering the area if they’re lucky. Alaska in itself is a completely different animal however.

48:44 I don’t necessarily agree as someone who’s been riding motorcycles since the early 80s. You can’t group all civilians into that 90% category, because some civilians such as myself actually take advanced training and practice it so their skills don’t atrophy.
I do agree with him that probably 90% of civilians don’t practice at that level but you can’t put all civilians in that 90% luck category. In fact, I am currently signed up to take the motor officer course which is offered by retired motorcycle police officers. I’ve taken tons of advanced training however, I do think the motor officer training is another key step and having total control over my machine.
By the way, I currently ride a 2023 Yamaha MT 10 also known as the YZF 1000. It’s a fantastic street bike. I’m 52 years old 160 pounds and 5’,7”. It’s all about physics and your discipline and your training when it comes to staying safe on a motorcycle or at least as safe as you can be.

You seriously need to pay attention to your audio. Mike placement is wrong. The Mike needs to be in the direction the voice is directed. You set the Mike like he talks straight ahead and you’re on his left. Guest don’t know to always talk to the Mike not the hosts. Do better. The fade in and out of his audio is distracting, and completely make the video annoying to watch or listen too.

    Couple takeaways:
Angles do matter, especially on a crisis site. Ref the gents comment that “it all goes out the window”. Thats incorrect. Train more reps.
LE focuses too too much on having to know an interior. Know how to take a room or space(using angles) and it does not matter what the interior looks like.
Make decisions sooner. While 3:40 something seconds seems fast from start to finish, it can be done a lot quicker. How many shots ,while guys jocked up, had a talk and then started moving toward breach points? Each one was a life.
Stop worrying about dying or “getting hurt”. You are way better off than the victims. Do Work.
Priority of work- fuck the bad guy. He bleeds out because you need to evac wounded, search for more victims and rescue “victims who hid while you clear enough of structure for rescue. Then the douche bag.
Yes I do have experience on targets of all shapes and sizes -real world. Hot washes have to be honest even if it stings. Just constructive takeaways.
I enjoy this podcast for the approach you guys take. đŸ‡șđŸ‡žđŸŽâ€â˜ ïž

This is the first time I've seen your channel. I have three questions, please.
1)How do you feel about the "Cops vs Citizens" agenda that's being pushed as social programming, in order to convince the American and world public that all cops are horrendous human beings who'll kill in a heartbeat? I'd assume that you'd be totally against this type of social programming.
2)How do you feel about the fact that various Federal agencies made the cops in Uvalde take the fall for the fact that they were ordered not to move by the agencies that were running the psyop? I'd think this would be quite angering to good cops everywhere.
3)Has your own department ever participated in an Integrated Capstone Event or any other type of government psychological operation?
Thanks very much in advance for your answers!
