New EPDM Rubber Roof Over Insulation Warm Roof

- The old EPDM rubber roof was laid 30 years ago and the owners had had no problems with it to date. The issue was with the decking and insulation underneath.
This video shows how we removed the old EPDM rubber roof, and then replaced it with a new decking, roof insulation and a new EPDM rubber roof.
EPDM is glued down onto the insulation directly on this flat roof. Some flat roofs have a second OSB deck but this is now being frowned upon as the OSB could sweat and rot away if the incorrect AVCL (air vapour control layer) is used. On this flat roof, we use a very high-grade AVCL (air vapour control layer) as this is the key to forming a new warm roof that will last years.

Hi Steve really interesting looking at the old & new roofing issues which we come across as a roofing company every week , thanks
Great...as always
Hi Steve. Can you tell me what adhesive you use to stick the insulation down? Thanks so much! Great video!
Another great video thanks Steve, at around 0:38 - 0:46 you are using some kind of spray to fix down the insulation...it looks like expanding foam? what kind of adhesive is it?
Hi Steve,
I’ve got a job coming up where it’s an extension with a shallow pitched roof. The architect has specified a single ply membrane with a ‘standing seem detail’ to make it look like a traditional metal roof I guess. So, strips at about 600 intervals. Technically speaking it’s pretty pointless, it’s more about the look.
Have you had to do this before and if so how?
Thanks
Hello Steve! What is the right type of insulation for epdm to be glued on?
Thanks in advance!!!
Great roof, and the videos are fab. But there are a few wrinkles at 2:03 :0) I would still be well chuffed.
good job. It is a bit annoying that the trim has to puncture the EPDM
The rubber seals around the nail there is no pressure there so never seen a fail at that point
Hi Steve I am a mother of3 I ♡watching your videos but you never tell what products u r using and where I can buy it
We get most of the materials locally But the EPDM rubber we get from www.rubber4roofs.co.uk we order over the internet and they deliver to us
