    I know *exactly* what you mean about wanting to buy a backup just in case. Glad I’m not the only crazy one. I’ve actually done this with sports shoes that fit perfectly, knowing they’ll wear out eventually. Thanks for the review. Just bought the SNA411 today. Looking forward to putting it on wrist.

  • @moddaeng
    @moddaeng Před 3 lety +1

    Yes I agree, it wears smaller than expected, but fits very nicely and close to the wrist. Love it. My wrist is 16 cm / 6,3 inches (small).

    Just got one of these and Im am wearing it now, and it’s awesome, $230 on eBay I ordered it on a Friday and was delivered Monday! Sometimes when ya get a new watch there is a little letdown when it arrives, that happened with my orange samurai , but with the flight master that didn’t happen at all, it’s even better that I thought it would be! I will brush the bracelet with a scotch bright pad in a couple months because polished bracelets make no sense to me, Great review!

    Attractive watch. I removed the polish on the middle links for a brushed and more sober effect and I like it. It also looks great on Natos.

    The prices on the 411 went crazy for a while when Seiko pulled it from production. Production resumed (in China) late in 2018, and prices went back to normal (about $200 USD)

      @millwrightman99 Před 5 lety

      I don't understand why the Chinese clone of this watch is only $60 bucks on Ali express and it does everything the same .As soon as the Seiko name goes on the price triples .Hey guys its not a Rolex !Sickening how the marketing guys screw the public .

    • @KRW628
      @KRW628 Před 4 lety

      Unfortunately Seiko sent production of many of its affordable watches to low-wage countries: Singapore, Malaysia and China. My 411 is Japanese.

      Production shifted to China around '18-'19. Anything older than that is Japanese. Google how to decode the serial number. That will tell you when it was made.

    Thank you for the review. I commented on your other video about the different chrono movements. My urge to buy a Flightmaster has been rekindled after seeing your reviews. $300 is quite a lot, but as I said, I consider the design unique and actually iconic. And the watch, a Seiko as it is, will probably last forever. I feel your pain about the golden one; it is far too gangster for me. And I just wanted to say that I can totally follow you wanting an extra watch just in case. That feeling comes over me quite often - also regarding other things than watches. Regards from here and take care.

    • @24hourstime
      @24hourstime  Před 5 lety +1

      I had messages from a couple of people that bought this watch after the review. All had positive things to say about it. It's a bit expensive for a quartz but I think it's worth it. All the best, Oleg.

    Sold mine for a profit when they first went up... but recently bought one again at a good price. Should be delivered today or tomorrow and took a gamble on a bad sales post on eBay. Either got a great deal and it’s just bad photos with no information or it’s a dud watch they were covering up with purposely bad photos!
    I remember it as a great solid watch that I didn’t worry about wearing- as you said the more knocks and scratches the more character. I don’t feel like this for every watch I own but at £200 it’s great!

    • @24hourstime
      @24hourstime  Před 6 lety

      Let me know if your gamble has paid off. I really love this watch and would definitely buy it back if I lost it.
      Yes, on cheaper watches a few dings and scratches give it character. I am a lot more careful can cautious about the more expensive watches. All the best, Oleg.

    Good review. But since you used the caliper, might as well be exact. I own this watch and the band width is 21mm not 20mm as you said on the video. Because if they want to change the band like I did, the 20mm will have a little gap.

      My fience's father will make me this beast as souvenier on my wedding on july. This watch seems 45 mm width but it is just 42 mm. Because of its magnifying glass it seems 45 mm width. With this way it has so much detail and practicly tiny. Japanese miracle...

    I finally just picked one up a couple days ago. Overall I like the watch. Would be nice to have a signed crown and better Crystal. The stainless steel bracelet seems chintzy to me and I don't like the line that runs through the polished part so I put it on a Bond NATO for now.

      July 2020 mine was $230 on eBay if you don’t mind asking what did you have to pay one year ago ? There was some confusion about weather this watch was discontinued around that time and prices reflect that.

    The short lug length makes it feel smaller then it is. I have an 8 1/2 inch wrist, so it is a little small for me. But I love it so I overlook the size.
