- On this week's episode we go salmon fishing on the Green River in search of some early river coho of 2021!

Nice fish! Looks like a pretty good spot down low there lots of room for that spinner to do its thing. Finally got me an adult king on eggs, it was a boot, but hey first salmon is a first salmon. Keep up the good vids!

I noticed you head ot the rivers at dawn. Does it make a difference what time you go in the rivers?
Speedbird yeah! Definitely! Early morning bite is the best time on the river to catch them, once the sun comes out and it gets warmer, multiple
factors come into play that make the bite get worse
would you mind telling which part of the green river is this? cause i went to auburn golf course side in green river and didn't see any fish!

i’ve only caught salmon on spinners i would just say just reel till you just barely feel it spinning and the flashes are longer which annoys them more and stays in front of the fish longer

Don’t have to tag jacks where I was fishing in WA! But that’s a good question, and I think one was a jack and one adult, didn’t measure really, but were allowed 3 of each in this spot

cri S if you can find a spot closer to the mouth, a narrow part of the river, and a deep hole, that should produce fish!

Robert Henson I fish lots of different spots on it depending on where in the run we are, in this particular video, since it’s still a bit early, was closer to the mouth

LeaF1569 that’s an excellent question. I don’t know of any other than just going out there and fishing and seeing where the fish are and which ones are coming in, or looking at nwfr reports
How bad were the snaggers? That part of the river can get real bad with the weighted treble hooks screwing it up for everyone else...

How’s your luck on the green this season? Been fishing around hundreds of fish but no bites. Pretty irritating lmao
It’s been good! Try going around the tide changes! 45 min - hr after low tide is my favorite
@@BrianMonticello yeah I’ve been hitting it up after work around 12-1 lately, been two weeks still no bites.
@@jakes4241 try at first light or in the evening. Morning is best, afternoon is usually a bust
And if the tide change happens early morning, like today, it’s recipe for success

They are jumping cause they are feeding one in the morning and one in the evening ☺️👍
So Salmon dont really feed once they enter the rivers anymore - their behavior becomes more territorial once they get into spawning mode in freshwater. According to a more recent study, they found that salmon jump to get sea lice off them... interesting!

Won't be in the future, but for local anglers, there are so many locations on the green you can fish, I personally don't think a 60 mile river is too specific of something to specify
