My family was stationed in Germany a long time ago (US military) and we lived off-base because my parents hate living on base. My Mom talks about how the local German friends she made were shocked to find out she’d been drinking the tap water there and told her to IMMEDIATELY stop. It’s surprising to realize that America is an outlier when it comes to developed countries with safe tap water.

that's super interesting! UK is just like the USA then, quite literally everyone drinks tap water:) However, my family that lives in Poland (next to Germany) also only drinks bottled water
