I live in Rhode Island. Here’s a couple facts. It is most notably the smallest state in the entire nation and it only takes an our to drive across. Anything more than a 1 hour drive scares us. The capital and largest city is called Providence with 200,000 people. The entire states population is 1m. We have amazing beaches on the coast. And we’re not actually an island! We’re just squeezed in between Massachusetts and Connecticut. But basically Rhode Island is only talked about during the summer times because winters up here are dreadful. It’s like Florida but people move out in the winter because of how cold it gets and it’s 200 times smaller. Thanks for listening to me tell you about my state! ⚓️🏝️

They call it "Arkansaw" because of something to do with how the original tribe the state was named after said it. Kansas, the state I live in, was named after a similar tribe.
It really hurts my brain to hear people say "Ar kansas" and its usually either people from other countries or people in big US cities not knowing anything about whats outside of their own state lol

Our nickname is "The Sunflower State" name fits itself we have lots of sunflowers.
Our capital is called Topeka but our biggest city is Witchita.
A lot of people get KCK and KCMO confused! KCK or Kansas City, Kansas, it in Kansas, whereas KCMO or Kansas City, Missouri, Is in Missouri. A lot of people get confused because there are so close and they're are both called Kansas City!

You did pretty well. Probably better than 90% of most Americans. I grew up in New York (state, not the city) and I found out one of my other American coworkers thinks that New York and New Jersey are "pretty much the same thing" and he could not locate them on a map. I had to have a long conversation with him about it where at one point he told me "no one from California can tell the difference between any of the states on the East Coast". I'm glad that you are better than him and actually care about geography. I dont think most Americans can find most of the countries of Europe outside of maybe the U.K., France, and Italy.

I was getting kinda mad that you didn't know it but I don't blame you, an easy way to remember Utah is that the Capitol, Salt Lake City can be abbreviated to SLC just like NYC, and also their not too hot like Arizona but not too cold like some other states, and also Utah is one of the 4 corner states! The other states are New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado!

I got some Pennsylvania fun facts I’d love to share! First of all, Pennsylvania houses one of the most historic cities in the US: Philadelphia. Housing most famously the Liberty Bell and the Nation’s capital at some time in history, it has a lot of interesting facts. Secondly, Pennsylvania houses Gettysburg. Gettysburg was the deadliest battle in our bloodiest war, the Civil Wat. The three day battle killed about 7000 people with approximately 33,000 wounded and 10,000 missing. A three-day battle. Gettysburg is also where Lincoln’s famous Gettysburg Address was held, where he spoke “…that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain, that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” Andrew Carnegie, one of the richest people ever and the face of the game Monopoly, actually built his monopoly in Pittsburg, PA using oil. Pennsylvania is regarded to be the centerpiece of the American Revolution, being Philadelphia was where lots of different plans and formations were made. The first baseball stadium was built in Pittsburgh in 1909. The Chocolate Capital of the US is Hershey, Pa.

Some fun facts about Oklahoma
It has the worlds biggest casino (win star casino) and they have a miniature Big Ben on the outside of it, one of the most iconic musicals of all time (Oklahoma!) is obviously from Oklahoma, it has the most diverse terrain in America, the tallest hill in the world, one of the biggest set of bronze statues (the land run memorial) the biggest act of terrorism before 9/11 (the OKC bombing), the creator of multiple famous American locations like sonic, loves and quick trip. They also made Bruams. OKC has the original LA boardwalk Ferris wheel. The shopping cart, steel guitar, voice mail, parking meter, and original pressurized flight suit were all invented In Oklahoma. As a young US citizen in nj, I am ashamed to say that when I first took the geoguesser game, I got about 31% on it. (Just a guess, been over a year) but don’t worry, I had to master it for a grade soon after, so now I can do it at 94-100%. (Used to be able to get 100 every time, even once getting 100 in 46 seconds! But, after a while the memory slightly slipped away)

As a Delawarean, fun facts about Delaware:
1. The Capitol is Dover
2. The largest city is Wilmington
3. The oldest settlement is Lewes
4. Due to the nature of how the border was drawn up with the colonies and the dredging of the Chesapeake and Delaware canal, Delaware actually owns some land on the New Jersey side of the Delaware Bay. Nobody lives there though.
5. Delaware was the first state to ratify the Constitution.
6. Delaware only has three counties, New Castle being the most northern and most populous, Kent in the middle and least populous, and Sussex in the south.
7. New Castle county has a more PA/NY/NJ influenced culture, while the other two counties are more southern in culture.

Here are some facts about Florida: The northwest of Florida is mostly know for it's white beaches. This is because the Rocky Mountains have a lot of quartz and a few rivers erode the quartz and bring it down to Florida, making the beaches white (east of Florida has no rivers that bring quartz, i believe, so they're probably brown). Lake Okeechobee (a large lake in Florida) is so big, if you are at a certain part of the lake and try to look at the other side, you won't see it. Florida had been owned by 5 different countries in it's history; Britain, Spain, France, Confederacy, and U.S. (6 if you count Articles of Confederation). A explorer (i forgot his name since it's been a while) explored the Americas. Some of the natives said there was a fountain of youth north (towards Florida). They really just said this probably because they didn't like him. The Everglades is the only place in the world (as far as I'm aware of) being the only place in the world were aligators and crocodiles naturally live together. Well, I'm sorry for making it this long, but I just like talking about it.

Nobody asked but here are some North Carolina facts
1. North Carolina’s most prominent feature is is geography, and more specifically it being split up into 3 regions, shore which is filled with beaches and swamps, piedmont witch has hills and some of the more notable city’s, and mountains which is my personal favorite Im dedicating the whole next fact to it
2. North Carolina is home to Mount Mitchal, not only is this the tallest mountain east of the Mississippi the top of the mountain has climates and an ecosystem closer to Candida then the state itself
3. North Carolina is home to some long trails, technically the longest trail in Nc is the Appalachian trail but the longest self contained trail is the Mountain to sea trail which as in the name goes from the mountains to the sea and can take weeks to hike in its completion
And here are some more mini facts if you want them
. Venus fly traps are native to Nc and is the place they were discovered
. Nc is one of the 13 original states America was founded on
. Nc is home to one of the largest roller coasters being the Fury 235 in Careowins (I absolutely butchered the spelling)
. Nc is also home to the worlds (technically) largest zoo being the Nc Zoo, and believe it or not they aren’t super sketchy like other zoos

1. Michigan has all the Great Lakes except for Lake Ontario (hence the nickname, The Great Lakes State).
2. Michigan has 2 peninsulas, the upper peninsula (the fish) and the lower peninsula (the mitten).
3.Michigan became a state in January 26th, 1837
4. Our capital is Lansing and our biggest city is Detroit which people are making memes of Detroit now.
5. Michigan is one of the top 10 most popular states at 10M.
6. The beaches by the Great Lakes are beautiful and our winters are dreadful that we sometimes have snow in March and April.
