No Greenland is just not a nation. It's a territory of Denmark. Much like how Puerto Rico is a part of the US, French Guiana is a part of France, and the Falklands are a part of the UK.

As you mentioned French Guiana is a part of the EU as well. Greenland however is not a part of the EU. It is still a part of the Kingdom of Denmark though. It's not some UK type situation, there is not a difference between "Denmark" and "The Kingdom of Denmark". The Kingdom of Denmark is just the name of the country.
It gets weird. But Greenland is a part of actual Denmark. Just not a part of the EU, and it has some limited local autonomy. Still a part of Denmark though.
