    The best thing about that bit holder is using it with drills, it turns your drill into a quick change collet like an impact driver! My drills stay with those in the chuck, easier/faster to change

      But also with these bit holder you can use 1 inch bit that are cheaper 🤙

    Losing the bit each time is one issue but also dropping the screw when starting the screw is the other issue. I like the bit holders that hold the bit and also hold the screw. The ones that also hold the screw have a powerful magnet at the end the holds the head of the screw so it does not drop, on the ground, when you start screwing.

    The best feature of this locking holder is the quick insert bit without sliding the collar like the other brands. I have to buy this just to update my non-Millwaukee impact drill which you need to slide the collar to insert bits. If you are doing a LOT of switching between the drill bit and screw bit, then you will see the advantage of it. I looked all over YT to see this feature before buying it with no luck. Finally I took my chances, but I have to buy several brands before finding this..

      Diablo version is greater. It doesn’t get stuck easily and heavier weight counter balance the gen 3 collate so much better without wobbles.

    This is great but kinda annoying that Milwaukee doesnt have quick release on their m12 impact already. Every dewalt impact ive ever own has quick release and connect. Which is needed in one handed situation on ladders or whatever. Prob pick one of these up though for my m12 impact. Dewalt makes one like this also but havent tried it. Yea square tips always get stuck on sleeve connectors, but i agreee i prefer small tip bits unless you got to go in a small space then str8 longer bit.

    That's old DeWalt bit holder. All magnetic bit holders have that problem eventually. Almost all other brands make decent locking bit holders now DeWalt, Bosch, Makita, Wiha, Felo, Milwaukee, etc...

    Ok but will someone make a video on how to get that packaging / tag off the bit holder? So far I've had to go to extremes that seem ridiculous (like recently I used a heat gun to melt it then pried it off while liquified with vice grip), so I assume there's something simple that my idiot brain isn't seeing.

    • @MrMajjido
      @MrMajjido Před 8 měsíci +1

    • @user-sf9mh1ms4q

      There's a plastic tab in the middle that holds the bit and if you look in the back, theres 2 dot tabs that holds it. I used a scripto blade to cut just one of the 1/16" dot tab in the back. a liitle flat screw driver can lift the tab in the front/middle and swing so just need to pull the holder out.

  • @MrMuddyKnuckles
    @MrMuddyKnuckles Před 5 měsíci

    Wrong use case for the DeWalt. If you're up a ladder stretching to screw a bracket to the ceiling you'll love the sleeve design, put the screw in, pull the sleeve up and screw... simple. Magnetic holders are good but you can still knock the screw off, that won't happen with a sleeve, you don't even need the screw to be straight, as long as the bit holder is straight it'll straighten the screw as it drives. You can use the sleeve to hold and help drive as well as it's free spinning which the Milwaukee isn't, fwiw Wera have a one-handed locking bit holder that is free spinning, but if you want a free spinning holder get the DeWalt sleeve as it has more to hold onto. Not knocking the Milwaukee at all, it looks very good and I plan to buy one as it's longer than my Wera.

    The screws were holding great with the Robertson but how's the hold on a #2 Philips with this bit holder?
    I have the exact opposite problem as you, I have a Milwaukee straight extension like your Dewalt but it locks in so tight that you cannot remove the bit if the extension is out of the impact.
    You need it in the impact to get enough leverage to yank that sob out lol
    The one thing it does great though is the magnetic holds on to almost anything strong and straight.
    I'm wondering if this adapter is the same in that regards.
    Thanks for the video, there's not many out there on this bit holder 👍🏻

      @@patdud1979 Well I got impatient and ordered up the Milwaukee lol
      I just hope the magnet doesn't have an issue holding screws.
      I watched your Wera video too but I seen the reviews with the pics of broken pieces and I figured Milwaukee hasn't let me down yet.
      My entire setup is Milwaukee and I have all their other bits and extensions and nothing has broke yet or failed to satisfy except the fact that I'm almost ripping flesh out my fingers ever time I remove a bit from that dang normal extension lol
      like I said if the extensions not already in the impact to help pull on, forget about it...it's not comming out ever and I've usually got a pretty Kung fu grip on things 🥷🏻

      @@Atum_Ra that magnet might not hold as good as something with a ring magnet that’s for sure. One of the only bit holder that combines a ring magnet with the LOCKING feature is the WERA but in Canada they are 33$ sooo a bit to much for me lol. But it is on my Amazon wish list and if the price falls il buy it 😉 the wera is really my favourite as of today.

    As with most CZcams videos, there is no excuse for it to be more than 30 seconds. Think about the fact that CZcams Commercials are down to just 4 seconds. You might think that rambling on like you do with friends is going to make people like you. Nope. If you want people to like your videos and subscribe, make them 30 seconds max. Cut right to the core facts, and quick demonstration. You will get lots of subscribers because short and to the point is what everyone wants. The time you save could be used to spell check your video comments. "video on locking bit older" ?

      Do you think your negative attitude is going to change how this guy presents his content? You might think you have video presentation all figured out? Go make your own videos, 30 sec max. You don't like the way someone makes their videos then don't watch it. Keep your negativity to yourself.
