It's worse than TikTok, which is a high bar to beat.
That impact driver was surprising 😂 but I’d be more surprised if it lasted longer than a week
I mean, I doubt the Amazon one will either

Every man’s mancave dream: a sword rack
yes please haha
and a hat rack of fedoras
@@The_Ballo why fedoras when you can have helmets?
Jesus loves you & made a way for our sins to be forgiven, turn to Christ & repent for eternity in Heaven!!!
Good stuff but a couple notes of constructive criticism for you.
1. If you notice the coils on the snake, they only go in the tightening direction, you can’t reverse it like you did trying to take off a bolt. Also with that one you didn’t compare a more expensive model which would have done the same thing. If you could maybe loosen something with it, a wood screw would be the extent.
2. When testing the strength of the 1/4 adapters, you used a stubby socket, which only applied torque to the area before the necked down portion of the bit which is there to lock it into a bit driver. When installed into a bit driver this area doesn’t see torque as the load is spread across the upper and lower 1/4 area. Next time use a deep socket 1/4 and see what the difference is. Should be upwards of around 120 ft/lbs
Love the show though. You guys are entertaining. Thanks for what you do
the torque wrench test also seemed a bit wack, looked like he had his hand far above the handle
@@kwinngeer9070 Also torque wrenches need to be calibrated. Things like improper use, storage and for example shipping can mess up the calibration.
After being calibrated both should torque to spec, so the second question is for how long they will stay close to the specs.
It's silly to call Amazon items "brand name"; they're the same Chinesium, just without the loss-leader discounts Temu is offering to get their malware on everyone's phones lol
yeah I feel like they did that because if they actually did a head-to-head with a real brand the temu stuff would just lose and it would kinda be a boring video
@@christiansesler3395yes but the difference in price would be much bigger.
So yeah we can't really say temu tools are good, we can only say amazon tools are craps, oh what a surprise
Not all of them. A lot of Amazon branded products are actually better than their namebrand competitors.
@@NinjAsylumsuch as?

Thank you guys for all the entertaining videos. I have a issue with my neck and have been bedridden for days. Watching these makes me happy and keeps me from going crazy while waiting to recover. You guys are life savers.
For reference, you should "warm up" your torque wrenches before using them. Set it to 95-100% of its rated torque value and then pop it 6-12 times in the direction youll be torquing. This just gets the spring moving and happy before torquing stuff down.
I think the amazon one was not set correctly because it was pretty precise but low accuracy.

Is it a black 3rd gen 4Runner?
@@travisfootball21That is indeed a 3rd Gen. I loved mine. Still wish I hadn't sold it, even if I did replace it with a WRX. Less powerful, clunkier ride than the WRX for sure, but my '99 Limited had everything I could possibly want in a 4wd.
@@FrigidMountainI really don't want to let mine go, I've got some big rust repairs to do around windscreen and have had it for 8 years but never had it legally on the road, I've been trying to save some money up and I'm not doing too bad ATM so fingers crossed.
I love her to death, shes a pov spec 92 sr5 with the 3L engine and wind up windows, I love the simplicity and reliability of it, the 3l is known as one of the most reliable engines there is when looked after. I would love to run 30psi at least when funds allow all I need to do is get the pump rebuilt to a 12mm and larger turbo and I'm sweet.
The manifold I've got on her at the moment will suit t25, tdo4 and ct20 flange, never mind the ct20 flange it will never get used lol.
It's got a Subaru WRX tdo4 (Mitsubishi casting) turbo on it at the moment I would like to try the tdo5 but they seem to like to run out of puff at around 20psi so it will probably end up being a holset he221 5.5cm for some dose

You need to do more of these, need to see Temu VS snap on for socket wrenches, screwdrivers, and more!
Fun vid, boys! Really happy to see how comfortable Justin is getting on camera.
He really had me giggling at some of the faces and reactions he was giving on this one. Great work as always!
Be careful with the sword… I wouldn’t be surprised if the blade flew off mid swing. 😂
I just watched the movie Walk Hard and was getting PTSD watching them swing that around.
I have a strong suspicion it’s not full tang.
Also, it’s a Katana, the most cringe of swords.
I'll bet the sword is made from cheap stainless steel, which is too brittle to be practical.
Uh yes I'm willing to be the Temu sword is a wallhanger, what a shock
@@HALLish-jl5mo well hold on…. Legit old school tamahagane Katana’s are dope.
Reminds me of the time my father told me about the time he "tested" a cheap impact driver when after his good one finally broke after years of use. It apparently immediatly caught fire.
Skill-issue, lineage of L takers.
I just love Justin! So innocent, and so honest 😂
Y'all could do a Hi-low engine rebuild kinda thing, one team gets cheap tools and the other gets expensive ones.
Dude yes! Like a harbor freight torque wrench vs snap on for doing head bolts and such, see if one engine blows up like some internet warriors say it will because you cheated out on the tools. I bet not. Having built engines, how even the torque is vs the exact number is more important I think. A headgasket might not care if it’s a few pounds off but if all the bolts are an even torque, she will seal just fine
Only one engine gets pulled apart 😂
@@79huddy toyota actually sold a whole bunch of their machinery to chinese firms... so really the parts would be comparable

They are such a good pair. They're perfectly goofy and interesting together. Perfect for this video. Another absolute BANGER out of Donut Media
When it comes to wrenches, bits, drivers, etc., nothing beats Harbor Freight. @11:18 I’ve purchased cheaper ratcheting wrenches and torque wrenches than that, and they come with a lifetime warranty. They’re also built in the USA if that matters to you.

Hey, just a PSA, don't swing low quality swords. There's a very real risk of them snapping off at the hilt and sending a vaguely sharp bit of metal flying in unpredictable directions. Great way to get a really embarrassing scar or lose your eyesight,
You forgot that it could kill you
@@purdysanchez Very unlikely, but technically possible. Usually you'd expect arm lacerations.
'vaguely sharp'
We literally saw that thing slicing bottles in half. It's more than 'vaguely' sharp. If it can cut open a bottle it can even more easily slice through flesh.
Flashbacks to the machete scene from Walk Hard lol.
@@cenciende9401 Not really. Those were real messy cuts. See how the plastic kinda awkwardly tears instead of slices? Yeah, that's no good. A sword doesn't need to be particularly sharp to cut plastic or skin, it just needs to be swung with enough force, or dragged across it.
That flex adaptor is designed for screws on an impact. I have a dewalt equivilent 90° flex adaptor. The casing isnt as stong as the actual drive parts and will do this with a drill not set to slip after the first thing to resist removal. An impact(or drill using the clutch) wont twist it, but in full drill mode it kills itself.
Perfect for what i do in HVAC, mainly re&re's that require removing sheet metal screws. I would never even thing of anything automotive bigger than a 10mm bolt. Realisticly think "could ibremove it with a philips head" if not dont even try
I’m a Temu fanatic and I haven’t had any problems with the exception of a projector that it was garbage, everything else it’s been great
Yeah I wouldnt trust tech or any food/beauty products that would put chemicals on your skin/body. Otherwise stationary, kitchen/bathroom, clothes, toys, etc, seem safe.
Okay they clearly wanted an excuse to buy a sword they found on temu. They aren't even trying to hide it 😂
Who wouldn’t want to buy a sword? Seems like a great excuse to write it off as a business expense 😂
James, the Endoscope can go in the intake *or* the exhaust. You don't always have to go straight for the ass.

Still waiting for the next season of tool party. Definitely my favorite series.
torque wrench:
you have to pull them by the grip, for them to be reasonably accurate.
(sounds weird but because of geometry and the mechanism being in the handle, it makes a difference where you hold it)
Also the larger the torque wrench the less accurate they are at less then 75% load. You should always use a torque wrench with a max within 30 ftlbs of what your torque specifications are when using a spring(cheap) torque wrenchs.
*AND the did not use the snake drill extender correctly, either.*
The issue is that this is a show made mostly for entertainment, not for actually testing things, so it is done sloppily.
Depends how the torque wrench is engineered. Old ones sure, but not all newer ones, especially the nicer ones.
6:16 😂😂 Love the humor boys👌🏿👌🏿 Awesome content as always
Used to work in an RV dealership, and those flexible bits really come in handy
Watching Justin and James play around with a katana wearing fedoras is something i didn't know i needed in my life
Trilby not fedora
And wearing the black trench coat. They went full "I studied the blade" and I am HERE for it. 😂
I previously owned that exact boroscope camera, and it was working for about a month.
I straight up used a flexible drill shaft with a hole saw to cut 1" holes through cramped 2x4 framing. It didn't survive, but it worked.
Top tier content and editing at the end! Love it, good work!

You likely snapped the adapters at the thinned down section. when they are used as intended, they are clamped in a drill chuck, which holds these things on both sides of the neckdown, getting around that weak point.
Sure, stuffing those into the hex collet of an impact driver is tempting, but they are not designed for that.
The thinned neck that you find on many Bit holders, adapters, hex shank drills and whatnot is designed to be compatible with a few very weird drill chucks, which are somewhat quick to release, but not universal at all. Those lock into that necked down section and drive the implement from both sides of the thinned section.
the last 30 secs of this was so genuine i loved it haha
Yes the temu torque wrench was more accurate, but one thing I’ve found is the cheaper ones tend to lose calibration quicker
...also he held the amazon one wrong
The whole test went by so quickly I couldn't be sure of the technique, but it really seemed like he slammed the Tekton wrench versus easing up to the click as you should. There were several reasons I felt that the test was done more to crank up the amount they could spend on a sword versus making the test valid.
1. He jerked the wrench versus easing up to the click, especially with the Tekton. If you do that with any wrench you'll ALWAYS over-torque it.
2. He pushed the wrench instead of pulling, which gives you much less control
3. Most importantly the arm on the Tekton was almost twice as long as the Temu wrench, imparting much much more torque and greatly magnifying the mistakes made in #1 & 2
Fun for entertainment, but if you want a valid test you watch Protect Farm.
Justin is too much awesome! I want him in every video. Him and Jeremiah are my favs.
I love how happy Justin was with the sword in his hands. He was like a kid on Christmas!
I love how they said it was better than a local price, but Harbor Freight is everywhere with a better torque wrench
this lmao
For the impact adapters you should have used a longer socket, the shorter socket will cause failure at the notched area
The socket adapters from Harbor Freights "Warrior" brand remove the lug nuts off my truck that are torqued to 140 Lb/ft using a Dewalt impact driver. I've used them for a few years now and haven't broken one yet.
Congrats to Jear bear for finishing up the TC racing championship in that type r at Indy. Was super fun to watch. Hope to see him racing next year as well!!
I have bought a lot of tools and find, almost without exception, that the least expensive tool may work OK, but only for a little while before it fails... Of course the most expensive tools are not always the best, but in my experience, the cheapest tool is never the best bang-for-the-buck.

4:36 Funny. It seems that the meaning of the word "endoscope" tends to vary in different languages. In German, endoscope is naming the group of visual devices (cameras) with a shaft that are used to get to hard to reach places regardless of the use case. A rigid endoscope is a borescope while a flexible endoscope is a flexoscope :D
Love these two guys, great vid!
I just gotta say James your intro intensity is always so amazing.
Justin is just so much faster w the bolts then James 😂
This video is the Temu version of Project Farm. 😂
the way I got HYPE when the temu drill beat the Amazon drill
Quick note, anytime with a click type torque wrench it's good practice to give it a few clicks before doing a to-spec torque. The spring steel inside needs to stretch out a bit before it's closer to where it should be.
This is not just the standards org being tricky, but something you guys found on the tool party vid with torque wrenches. Next time before doing a review to see how close a torque wrench is, give it a few clicks on a welded bolt.
Yep. The US Air Force actually has a procedure for this. 6 clicks at max torque or at least the highest torque the wrench will be used at before each shift.
Yep, all torque wrenches need to be broken in with 6 to 10 clicks at high torque before use. I made the mistake of not doing this on my first wrench years ago, thought it was faulty, then I read the manual which shows the break in process and it is still going strong.
This needs to be like a 25 minute run time
Great production like always. By the way, did you get the hat and the shirt at the end from Temu too? 😂😂😂😂
Nice work, love this comparison
The flex shaft was hilarious!

What a dumb comment.
Got some great things on Temu, like some nice wireless earphones for like a few bucks (/couple of quid) that I use outside because my AirPods sometimes fall out of my ear and I don’t wanna lose expensive ones. And TBH they’re pretty good, nice enough sound, build in power bank that can charge Z Flip or M charge my ipad (a little bit). Along with lots of other stuff like smart home stuff, awesome shower tech, & other bathroom tech, etc. one thing was damaged in shipping they refunded immediately, other thing worked twice and then died (laser thermometer) then stopped working and they also refunded immediately. Everything else is great. Wasn’t isn’t great is the constant barrage of notification and emails. Like FFS… The coupons doesn’t even mean anything for god sake…
As a metrologist by trade I would caution people that the torque applied to a bolt does not equal the torque it will take to remove it. I often had to correct QA sergeants in the USAF for trying to use that method to test whether they were properly torqued.
It doesn't matter for this test if it was all done by the same wrench as they're equal to each other, but you can't say "It was set to 40 so it can remove 40".
Donut finally jumping on the Temu bandwagon. Those fedoras at the end though 😂😂😂

12:23 you clearly have your right hand as a short grip on the torque wrench. A torque wrench is ONLY calibrated to use at the correct hand grip placement. A short grip will significantly change the actual torque though the system.
I wish more people would do this with reviews plus use-over-time, and/or that Donut would do deep-dive comparisons of like, 5 or so different tiers & levels/producers of these tools.
I'm actually impressed with the torque wrench...😳
