- amzn.to/49WeZmZ A Fail for the Win! 2.4 Star-rated Milwaukee 30-degree offset Knuckle driver appears to suck but is actually quite good. The issue is that it has issues.
Knuckle with fewer bits on Amazon for $24: amzn.to/49WeZmZ

I have one, the tool is awesome! Throw the philips bits in the garbage. I only use the Robertson or torque bits, I have to say I only use the longer bits in it so that may be where the negative feedback is coming from on the stubby bits. Great video
Just found this channel and love it. I do maintenance at a large hotel in Maine. Thank you for the content Doc.
The knuckle is weird but it has come in handy a few time. A lot of people think it's going to replace a right angle attachment but in my day to day experience on sites it's come in handy.
Dewalt has my favorite pivoting bit holder. I use it with my Milwaukee 12 V impact as well and I’ve had the same one for about three years and it gets used every day.
The dewalt one works until I lose it. I think I have only broken one in like 8 years of using them every day in ways that I probably shouldn’t. Lots of exposure to water. I don’t think that one will work well at the angle they show it in the package
Me too the only tip I’ll use
Really strong magnet too. Idk if it’s 30 degrees but it’s wall smaller than this thing.
I use that little dewalt pivot bit in my m12 surge fairly often. This past Thursday I used it swapping out some 6” recessed housing to 4”. It is for sure the best pivot bit on the market.
The bits seem to be held in mostly by a small collar on the holder. Milwaukee seems to really like that style and I’ve noticed that they can make it slightly annoying to remove the bits.
It's the same with their bit cases too! I use my little Leatherman Style to get them out the first few times!
@@Heizenberg32 the new cases resolve this...mostly. I have no idea how they expect me to remove bits on the rear of the two-tier bit holders.
Hey Doc, another informative video. I really enjoy the guidance you give on tools. Would you consider doing a Christmas guys list of tools? Maybe break it down into certain price ranges or just Made in USA tools? Thanks for considering the idea.
I bought this 7-8 years ago. Don’t recall it coming with bits nor do I recall any issues with bits getting stuck
Also using the DeWalt and it has held up
I use the dewalt every day and it’s awesome. I found them about 8 years ago and I think I have only broken one. I have 5 in rotation on various 18v and 12vdrills and impacts. And a 6th one I lost when it got dark doing a 3 hour parts call. I have to go back and do some more some wrist jets and a pump on his swim spa. He said he found it so I will hopefully get it back
I have a Dewalt one much slimmer than this. Pull down and it locks straight, pull up (or apart) and it will be in swivel. Works decent but I don’t need it all that much
I have to use pliers on the smaller drill bits in my Milwaukee set to get them out of the case too!
I guess the knurling on this tool is kind of a red herring...people must spend a lot of time trying to see what that "collar" does when it actually does nothing.
I've had mine ready to use for over 10 years just haven't needed it vs a right angle or extension. It probably could be nice for my fat stubby dewalt impact that constantly rubs against corners.
i think the problem comes once your torqued on a day of screws or so but yeh like with most of the Milwaukee bit holders you just need to grab some pliers. i think most of the day your either using a #2 Phillips or one of them torx jaunts anyway
Thanks for the video and review brother.
If it's not tight enough, crying.
If it's to tight, crying.
I had to hold it, crying.
It doesn't matter what you build or what color it is, haters gonna hate.
I always read the negative reviews to understand why they dislike something. I discount any of the, it sucks because it didn't do something I wanted it to, disregard the fact it wasn't designed to do that.
I needed a 90° and this is only 30° so it sucks, one star.
Id like, the wera locking bits, but bent at a 90 degree angle and use it like an allen adapter type thing, use a Phillips like an L key with more torque but with the tightness and accessibility of a allen style L key
It helps if you actually know how a tool works.
Be careful with the small bits with your Ko-Ken ratchet, they will get stuck like ball detent style bits. Don’t ask me how I know 😢
I had to use serious pliers to pull the little bits that came with it out . Absolute garbage
I use my drill every single day as a full time Handyman. I've done it all and have never needed that tool. EVER... It is a gimmick tool. There is nothing it can do that a right angle attachments can't. It's the kind of tool that will sit in your tool boxes and never be used. The price point is also ridiculous. Save your money.
