8 oz dried beef slices (rinsed and chopped)
¼ cup butter (unsalted)
¼ cup all-purpose flour
3 cups milk
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp dried thyme
¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
8 slices sourdough bread
season to taste with salt and pepper when serving

I tried making this years ago. The problem I had was the Buddig beef. Is there any other brand? Buddig was not the taste I was hoping for.
