Great video and nice location. I think you would like the group of flyers I hang out with here in southern California. They fly a lot of different gliders but primarily PSS. Every first Thursday of the month we have a build night (there is one this Thursday), where two or three of us will work on some project or another, while the rest of us just get in the way, LOL. The host of build night is Tom R., who's garage doubles as an aircraft carrier. I've never counted them, but he probably has close to a 100 PSS gliders hanging from the ceiling and packed about his garage. All hand laid fiberglass fuselages, custom core wings, and period paint schemes.
@@SlopeRCGliders Yes, that's true, there are several places here in southern California where the conditions are right. Cajon Pass, Pt Fermin, Bluff Cove are a few places that come to mind.
Clearly a windy day, but that wing is fantastic, it just moves through the sky with so little drag I would bet even on light days this model flys better than most. I was flying in heavy winds last week at the slope and was flying backwards even with a bit of ballast.. no fun, gave up and went home. Cheers to the Videography ... great work.
I think Tom Hardy would like that. There’s a scene in the film Dunkirk where he glides a full size Spitfire from about 500 feet altitude for about twenty minutes managing to dogfight and shoot down a Stuka on the way down! Very believable.
He has to pretend he's controlling it remotely by radio control, so people don't moan about the little hamster inside that's really piloting it. Some people are weird and would say it's cruel on the hamster, making them pilot it themselves instead of just being a passenger.
Magically Aerial, thanks, congrats for this A.S.M.R. tingles that gave me - but it was also pretty intense, I also stressed out when you made those fiery bold loops wind in back of the plane, I thought it might have crashed ... but no, Yeay !

That all sounds pretty amazing. I’ve always loved PSS models but you need a decent slope and the right conditions to make them fly well.
