- Do you guys remember these silly washing balls? They raised a lot of money on kickstarter and people continue to buy them, despite multiple tests and reviews showing that the claims made about the crystal wash balls are largely exaggerated or completely falsified.
I've been stocking up products and ideas for future kickstarter (where are they now) episodes, I hope that I can start pushing them out faster.

I like how teachers claim wikipedia is unreliable yet the articles are moderated on a frequent basis to remove any wrong information and the articles provide an extensive list of references. Yet you can credit some webpage made by a random person in the 90's and they won't have an issue with that.
I first heard about the “unreliability” of Wikipedia from a teacher when I was in middle school back in 2009. So for a while I always viewed Wiki as questionable, but as an adult I see how ridiculous it was for her to say that (I love going down Wikipedia rabbit holes and learning new things). Side note, I’ve always loved WWII history and for whatever reason I mentioned Himmler to her, to which she replied “I don’t think that was a real person, I’ve never heard of him.” 🤦♂️ when a teacher doesn’t even know about one of the major players of WWII Germany, that’s not good lol. Makes me not even surprised she called Wikipedia unreliable
Exactly, anyone can start up their own website, or create a free blog on the internet, and just post whatever crap they want without sources, and that will be taken as more reliable than Wikipedia. It's silly.
- One webpage mixed up latitude and longitude, for example. That website had a comment section that was filled with reports, but the website was never updated.
- Another website claims that the ISO week format updates the year value in accordance to the regular date format, which is false. There's no comment section, nor even a contact address, so this error remains up too.
- A third website claimed that the vast majority of stores in Sweden does not accept cash, and that you have to have a chip to pay with card. This is false. The vast majority do accept cash, chip, magnet strip and NFC wasn't a thing when it was written. A few stores have started not accepting cash nowadays, so this website will eventually be right in the far future.

Wikipedia is a colletctive universal encyclopedia about Humans. It is maintained, refreshed and more is added every day.

J I T you’ve probably already looked this up but basically it’s just get a bachelors in what you want to teach, do a internship, and pass some tests for a license. Extremely easy to get through without knowing who himmler is unless you’re a history teacher. As for going through high school and not knowing himmler it can be extremely easy as well, depends on what classes and what your school teaches though. I think we only ever really talked about WW2 in English class although there was probably a history unit on it I’m forgetting.
Those who claim his test of the ph wasn't scientific because he used tap water instead of distilled, your washing machine uses tap water. So under the conditions the balls would be in when properly used, tap water is a perfectly acceptable substitute.
Yes, like how some phone reviewer said they didn't had any good benchmarking software and was just test running games to see performance (load times, dropped frames and such). But considering some phones cheat benchmarking; by recognising a benchmarking is going on, it'll overclock, and give better results; it can't overclock for normal usage, and only do it for short times, giving false numbers. So using games is the perfect test. You can't cheat with games that way, because if the phone actually do perform better, it will perform better, easy as that.
@@Liggliluff a lot of gaming laptop reviews do similar. They benchmark game performance and then they run a general benchmark on the actual system to see how it copes. A bit like driving a car and gathering information on its functions rather than relying on a possibly manipulated black box.
As a former REAL scientist (molecular biology and genetic engineering), I just want to say that using WIKIPEDIA IS COMPLETELY FINE AS LONG AS YOU CHECK THE SOURCES FOR THE INFORMATION. Anyone who says otherwise is full of shit and is looking for an excuse to patronize people. I've already used Wikipedia in my doctorate program countless times. It's used as a platform to get background information in a well-organized format. All the edits are reviewed and are publicly available, so the risk of anything being incorrect is negligible (I have never seen this actually happen, excluding political articles).
Hint: For those still in school, just go to the relevant references at the bottom of the page and use those for your bibliography in whatever essay you need to write. I've written easily over a thousand pages over the years and have NEVER had a problem with this.

Subjects that don't inherently demand empirical research or qualified citations are the reasons why you look up a wiki as opposed to wikipedia. Pop culture information gets falsified all the time but scientific or historical events are heavily monitored and authenticated.
Gamergate is a pop culture subject so you'll have to look elsewhere.

I forgot if I commented this but, your experiment was actually pretty good. The variables would be the same thing as in a washing machine, a standard washing machine uses the same water your sink uses along with the toilet and shower; if your washing machine does use distilled water, you would just be lying. Along with another flaw in your experiment on using litmus paper for the ph test, if you couldn't tell the difference between them on litmus paper, chances are even if the ph changed slightly it would still be very close if not the same to the original, thus the effects of the so called "Hydrogen Peroxide effect" would be minimal to none.
