- Audrey Hepburn Iconic "The Roman Holiday" Quote
“Roman Holiday” stars Audrey Hepburn as Princess Ann, who escapes her royal duties to explore Rome incognito. She meets American journalist Joe Bradley, played by Gregory Peck, who initially aims to exploit her story but falls in love with her instead.

Lmao. He really matched her dramatics and I appreciate that.
She wasn’t even being dramatic though?? She was literally just repeating that she wanted a haircut because he wasn’t listening to her.
@@Justhppy2behereAudrey would disagree with you. Dramatic was the point
@@Justhppy2behereThere's a massive difference between dramatics and what you see on "TikYuck" today
There's a lovely moment not included here where, after he finishes the initial cut, he stops, takes a brief examination, and creativity strikes. It's very sweet, and he's a sweet character.
@@AL-fl4jkshe wasn’t being dramatic. And stop talking about famous people like you know them. It’s pathetic
Idk how but she makes me forget it's black & white, she's just so bright and colorful after the hair cut
This is a perfect and lovely comment...and I completely agree.
I could use this line on a girl!
i didnt realize until i read your comment! lol wow thats so weird and cool
That's so true.
That trueee. I forgot its in blavk and white
The clarity of a black and white film back in the 50s was absolutely amazing. The contrast of dark and light enhanced her incredible beauty.
Yes but actually i used software to higher the quality, anyhow the original film was in good quality
It's really interesting how they create the contrast for b&w films.
They would use colours like green for the eyeshadow, blush and lipstick.
They would also at times use lavender face powder to give coverage and create the brightness in the contrast.
On set Hollywood gal's would've been a strange sight to see considering how that all translates onto film.

Gosh. Audrey Hepburn was so beautiful. And her voice and accent were lovely.

Love her, her long hair was beautiful and she looked beautiful with short hair which isn't something that goes for every woman. She stayed just as feminine

The "Off! Off!" Was hilarious 😂

She was absolutely lovely with long hair. Never seen her like that !
I always found it funny how he wiped his brow as if full of sweat after doing like three snips

😂😅😮😮
This movie came out in 1953, a year my mother was in high school. Looking at my mom's yearbook, ALL the female students and teachers had short hair, the length Hepburn ended up with here. That was the style.
Roman Holiday is one of my favorite movies and was released a year before my mom was born.
Leave it to Audrey to be a trend setter.
My parents were married in 1954. My Mom was 18, and had very short hair. Dad preferred her hair short, it reminded him of when they met, so she kept it that way til he passed.
Then, after 50 years of haircuts, she grew it LONG for the next decade! I have her braid, now, as a keepsake. ❤
Short hair was always how one should wear their hair in the 50s.
Very touching.@@widowrumstrypze9705

You just dont have any opinion.
Absolutely true ❤
She was quite lovely!
Why is everyone just talking about how beautiful she is? Why is no one talking about how happy she looks after she got what she asked for? A haircut she chose herself because she thought it was meant for her that makes her happy. I can’t tell you how many times my friends and I just want short hair and every barber and salon questions us every time. Look at how she glows when she sees her reflection and recognizes herself. “That’s me. This is the me I wanted to see.” Let people do what they want with the way they look. They may be the next trendsetter.
Thanks for this
Thanks for this❤
Because people are shallow and not that bold.
As a hairstylist this makes me sad. My whole goal is to make someone happy.... I *HATE* hearing a stylist wouldn't do a haircut for a client because they decided it's not what they want or what's best for them.... That's up to the person wearing it. Always! If I'm worried someone might regret a decision I just ask them if they've thought that through, or thought about let's say the growing out process or reverse process etc. If they haven't we discuss it but I also assure them that it's ok. And that they can get through it if they want to do it. The hair will always grow back! ❤
I went through this with a hairstylist, but her response was a snippy “Well I can cut it short but I don’t think that’s what you want” when that was exactly what I wanted. I should have walked out but didn’t, and got the haircut I deserved for not standing my ground.
Her skin was flawless and her eyes were so beautiful and expressive.
She was a very Beautiful Jewish lady!

She was so expressive and beautiful that she looked great with long or short hair.
She was lovely inside and out! A complete classy Lady. Rest in Peace!
Him shedding a tear and voice breaking during the third "off" is so raw. I think this was her real hair and the actor who played the barber died inside knowing he was cutting her beautiful hair. She's so gorgeous and looks amazing with short hair! She looks so free at the end of the scene.
Real hair
It's clearly not her real hair that's why it's pinned up
In this her first movie, Audrey Hepburn won an academy award. The movie Roman Holiday also starring Gregory Peck is my favorite movie of all time!

She was so beautifull. A real lady.
What she went through and did in her youth in the second world war should also be known by everyone. She quietly continued to give back humanity and compassion to those with less throughout her life.
One of kind. Truly beautiful inside and out.

This scene was so iconic that my mom took me to a salon and requested "Hepburn cut" for me.
Some people are blessed to have faces to suit any hair style or length. Audrey was in me of the blessed.
ONLY A BEAUTIFUL FACE CAN CARRY A HAIRSTYLE AS CLASSY AS THIS
(I'm a kid born in the late 80s) The speech in the 50s is so definitive to me. Like I know Hepburn, but I haven't seen any of her films. But I know of her, and how iconic she is. But even having never seen this, like how clearly 50s is this speech?
Very clearly 50s speech. My grandmother spoke like this. I believe its called a Trans Atlantic accent. ❤

There are truly gorgeous women that Marilyns false everything cant hold a candle to their beauty. Such as Audrey Hepburn, Vivienne Leigh, Hedy Lamarr, Ingrid Bergman, Sophia Loren, all naturally gorgeous women. Loved to watch and watch them.
Uh....why you gonna tear down one woman to raise up another
@@TehMomo_ my intention was not to tear down Marilyn. My point is just at that time she was very changed from her natural self. I personally think she was more beautiful before all the unnatural changes. She had an intentionally exaggerated sexuality which personally I don't find attractive.
