      What I like to say about beauticians that do people of African American hair kinky hair for a b c hair I go out and I see so many older or mature let's say African American women that are just about bald I don't know whether some of them are health problems I don't know what it could be but one thing that a lot have told me because I have length Lee here is that they all did perms when they were younger for the simple reason it was more manageable and a lot of them really didn't know what was going on with perms so that's what we need to learn more about number 2 is hair coloring got a lot of the hair colorings are toxic not only two out here but 12 body and I don't care how safe or professional you are it's not really good flower here there are natural ways to do or to color hair cuz I use one of the natural ways that is not supposed to have chemicals it is a monthly process but as safer as we tall as we talk as we told and it strengthens your hair and a lot of people are going bald alopecia a lot of us a stressed out and I will hear shows it and I wish that I knew some of the things that I know now about here especially African-American hair

      Yeah but on some jobs such as in the medical field which I was in and I could not wear my hair like you wear your hair I mean it's common sense if you are in the operating room I could see you going out with Fluff Puff here in the operating room and some people they'll have a lawsuit about that some people don't have common sense if you are in the medical sector of of a job if you are in catering or having anything to do with food you can have your hair or fluffed out if you have locks and you're in the medical field you have to cover that up especially if you're in the operating room even if you're not in the operating room that he has to be contained so we have to get these things over to our natural hair people so that they will not be offended it is the career that you choose and that you have the proper hairstyle and I'm not saying don't have natural hair put some chemicals in it I mean slick it back or tie it up so that it won't be a hazardous situation in the end

    I 1,000% agree with Mo's last statement. When it comes to your hair, to like it love it and don't care what anybody else think about your hair. THAT IS THE KEY, Because if you rock your wavy, curly, or kinky natural hair with CONFIDENCE there's nothing nobody can say to you. And if they do say something negative you just give them that unbothered look letting them know you're not bringing my confidence down. Because truth be told a lot of the NEGATIVE NANCY'S really wish they had the confidence to rock their natural hair but too afraid and worrying about what others will say. So to all my natural sistas DO YOU and do it with CONFIDENCE!!!!😉✌

    This is awesome. I think that having great taste when it comes to products is great for being natural. Some products are needed and some aren't. Natural hair is beautiful and unique to each person.

      I never have a problem with styling my hair because I keep it in condition where I don't have to use a lot of products and by-products the only products that I buy is oils natural oils if I can drink it if I can cook with it then it can go in my hair or on my body I try to keep two as natural as I possibly can young people have to know that oils natural oils are not just for people of Indian from India it's not just for them because I spoke to a lady and I said well did you ever think of oil in your hair for conditioning oh no I don't use oils on my hair because there isn't that put Indians they don't have the same type of hair that we have and I just looked at her and then she came and she told me her hair was falling out and I had nothing to say I said well you need to speak to a beautician or specialist because she really thinks that certain things are just for people of different cultures I am descendants of of Caribbean people all family members so I understand because I know a lot of East Indians and they have some of them have some beautiful shiny healthy looking hair so I said hair grows from the scout why don't I use some of the stuff the oils that they use some of the products that they use but you cannot get some people to understand that hair is here you just have to find the right products that agree with your hair and you don't have to go out and by 25 dollars for 6 oz of product make your own hair mask find out what your hair likes and use it cuz I can't afford to spend $30 or $25 on here product or one hair product that's what I spend maybe $60 a year 4 hair products and I buy am in the health food store I cook them up and I use them you're so much information out there today of how to take care of your hair take care of your

    I love Mo but my hair is in the kinky category and its tough at times when I see so many bloggers who have this partucular texture. Its hard to relate and Im sure ALL of us naturals suffer with certain hair issues. But the struggle is real with this hair! lol Hopefully I'll come across someone that has my sort of texture that can share tips on how to handle this without giving up and getting a relaxer.

      Bahiya13 Valid frustration! I've lucked up in that I have type 3 hair (in that CZcams has lots of tutorials for my hair type these days). Check out Igbocurls channel. She has some of the most BEAUTIFUL natural hair and provides tons of health and tips for type 4 hair...especially those interested in growth.

      Selena Wilson Thank you so much for the recommendation. I will definitely check her out. For the 1st time I put my hair in a protective (crochet) style to avoid dealing with it for awhile. Out of my friends (7 of us), only 3 have the kinkier texture. So we try to keep each other encouraged. lol I'll look at that channel and let them know as well. Thanks again!

    I really could use some advice. I used TOO MUCH ACV on my hair. I didn't know the proper radio of water to apple cider vinegar so I ended up putting half and half TWO times, now my hair is VERY frizzy and wont sleek down when twisting or styling. It's been like this for a couple of week now, what should I do?

    • @SW-oc2pp
      @SW-oc2pp Před 7 lety +1

      Jasmine Rogers I am NO expert, but sounds like lots of deep conditioning and very mild shampoos are in order...

    It's very telling that the hair models being profiled don't have the type of curl pattern that is typical of the average black woman. I'm sure you'll get around to them, but that's the point: they're always chosen last, not first. That speaks for itself. :-\
