It’s summer time, and we all know what that means! We want to spend more time outdoors and less time on our hair. So, I am going to show you a quick wash-n-go process, for all textures, with under $20 in products!
    Products:
Trader Joe's Nourish Spa Shampoo and Conditioner ($2.99 each at Trader Joe's stores)
Lottabody Love Me 5-n-1 Miracle Styling Crème
    Lottabody Shape Me Custard Gelèe
Lottabody Moisturize Me Curl & Style Milk
($4 to $5 depending on where they are purchased. You can find these at your local beauty supply stores or use the "Where to Buy" feature at lottabody.com to see where these products are available in your area!)
    Tools:
Mo's Pink Comb (I purchased this many moons ago and have never seen it anywhere since. You can find similar detangling/shower combs at your local beauty supply!)
    Denman Medium 7-Row Styling Brush
Thermal Hair Care Hot Head Deep Conditioning Cap
    Ion Ceramic Blow Dryer
    Total time:
Total style time for both ladies was approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
    Keep and care:
Angela will cover with a satin bonnet and fluff her hair in the morning. She can mist her hair with an oil-water mix and diffuse to refresh sections where needed. Yancey will pineapple her hair with a satin scrunchi and tie a scarf around it and sleep on a satin pillow case to maintain her wash-n-go. Like Angela, she can mist her hair with an oil-water mix to refresh sections if she likes, or, both of them could just opt for different styles once the frizz comes in. They can pin sections back, make a bun, twist the front half and fluff the back, whatever works!

I'm so glad you showed two different types with same products and similar techniques cause too many new naturals think this won't perform on their hair and worry about products that they see on similar hair types meanwhile these products is for all hair

TiMalice2009 I believe the spray is a leave in. It acts as an additional form of moisture for your hair on top of the milk and the gelee :)

Anglea's & Yancey's wash n' go hairstyles are beautiful! They both look cute! I especially loved Angela's "What? What?" moment and Yancey's "Oh My Gosh" reaction at the end when seeing their hair styled. These moments were of pure happiness! This is something I may have to try! Another great tutorial video Mo!

i'm amazed you were able to maintain that much definition without using a ton of gel. my hair gets so frizzy so i have to pile on the gel and weigh my hair down. the downside is the gel makes my hair hard, dry and crunchy. this was an amazing wash n go tutorial!

    • @robinayers8107

If you use a flaxseed gel, it Won't weigh your hair down. Flaxseed gel is very lightweight

Thanks for calling out the fact that wash-n-go refers to the style. I always equated wash-n-go with being quick. I thought I could never do a wash-n-go. You've given me hope and I'm going to give this a try.

I love this video!!! I have waist length 3b-3c hair and I always use a gel. It's always crunchy and then when I don't use a gel it's extremely frizzy and huge with no curl definition. But I think what I'm lacking is moisture. So I'm going to start deep conditioning so my curls can turn out like hers!! Thank you! I was soooo close to cutting my hair and wearing it straight.

So I decided to apply my styler with gloves and let me tell you it's a big difference in how the product is spread throughput my hair. My curls are more defined, my hair is saturated with little products and my hair detangles easily. There's a lot less hair coming out as well. It's literally keeping more hair on my head. Try it for a week and you'll see a difference. Your hair products will last longer and your hair will be easier when it comes wash hair day. Thanks fog the education Moknowshair. I won't doubt your techniques anymore. Haha.

I've seen many of your videos and "Mo" really does know...smile. You do a fantastic job with hair. I wished we lived in the same city because I would definitely have you do mine. I have worn my hair blow dried and flat ironed for 12 years and the other day decided to wear it natural. I have bits of straight hair and while I expected this, I'm not sure I can live out the transition period until it reverts back to its natural curly/kink. I'm going to get the products you've used in this video...thanks so much for sharing.

This video was awesome. I'll actually look at this at least 3 times to really absorb the information. I'm (for the first time ever) trying 3 wash-in-go. For some reason I'm totally terrified. I have two daughters with different curl patterns and then myself. Luckily I can look at this tutorial and I don't have to do both the same day. Mo you are amazing, I wish all three of us could come to you and you do our hair. Bummer! The great thing is none of have to go anywhere this weekend, so this is the time to experiment. I will say I'll have to use the products I already have, and Curl Keeper is one of them, so wish me luck.

Thank you for making this video! I really love your channel; I could literally watch your videos all day. However, most of your tutorials are done on women who have perfect, beautiful kinks and curls. Unfortunately, my hair has extensive heat damage and little no elasticity, so it won't curl without manipulation, and even then, the curls don't hold. It can get a bit discouraging to watch these women's hair coil into a perfect spiral when conditioner is applied. I would love it if you would do more videos on helping women repair their damaged hair, taking us through the process of identifying the issue and finding the right products and techniques to fix it. Keep doing what you're doing--liberating women everywhere from the chains of relaxers and weaves. I admire and appreciate your work.

    • @MoKnowsHair
      @MoKnowsHair  Před 9 lety +7

daniburnette11 The reason I don't have a "repair heat damage" video is because 9 times out 10, you can't. You need to cut your damaged hair. Once the S-bonds are broken in the hair shaft, that's it. You have to cut the damage and take better care of the new hair you grow.
