She has type 3 hair...if you have type 4 (like mine) it won't lay straight and flat like hers. And that's ok 😁. I bet your hair is beautiful too!
I've been all over youtube and I finally think I found my hair twin in terms of curl pattern and length.
My whole life I never knew what to do with my hair. My mum is Filipino and just used to brush my hair out into a frizzy mess and my dads Ghanaian... of course he didn't know about women's hair lol all through my teens I just used to straighten my hair and without me noticing it just got shorter and thinner to the point where it wouldn't curl.
So, 24 years in, I'm trying to work with my hair and be a curly girl :) Thank you for the awesome videos x

I'm Puerto Rican, but my paternal great grandmother was of African descent. So I have these crazy curls I didn't know how to manage naturally until my mid twenties. I was always straightening and cutting it short. (Like a bob.)
I see your hair has a similar texture to mine and I can totally work with those hairstyles. I also have just found the dark and lovely styles gelee. I love it. It leaves my hair soft with out letting it get crazy puffy or frizzy. Thats how i came to find this vid. LOL

I like how your twist technique on the fourth hairdo. I've never seen it done that way. The twist pattern is more defined than how I usually do my hair.

After searching for me off and on for years, he finally found me on Facebook, and we're reuniting for the first time for his birthday! I so wish my hair would look like this with these styles. I have too much shrinkage which causes a fro instead of hair hanging so nicely as yours. Love the styles!!

Ugh... I'm 16 and I'd kill for your hair and skill... I'm the only natural in my family and nobody knows how to do hair. I've been getting better with taking care of it (I went natural at age 12) but it's been an uphill battle and I'm still closer to the bottom than I am to the top. I don't know how to style it and I recently cut it all off and kept it short for a few months before I let it grow back, but now Its as if my hair isn't growing and it always looks dry. I have 3C hair but you can't tell because I don't know how to keep it looking hydrated when I'm at school all day :( I just don't feel pretty anymore and I'm wondering if I should just get braids or a weave or something 😪 any advise ? Please ?
Don't ever feel like you're not pretty! Your curl pattern is beautiful and so are you! Remember that you should be deep conditioning every week. I'm also 16 and I don't Moisturize during school either but I think your hair should be good without 6 hours of applying any moisturizer. I Moisturize with the cantu leave in conditioner (a small amount) once in the morning and once before I go to bed. Keep looking at CZcams vids about natural hair care because it helps so much. I learn something new everyday. Good luck!

Kirsten Josephs Hey, I'm a teenager too and I often have trouble keeping up with my wild mane. I advise you to try a product called CANTU Shea butter leave in conditioner. It's hydrating, cheap, and can be found at almost any hair store or drug store including Sally's, Walgreen's, Target, etc... Good Luck and I wish you and your hair the best.
Hey Hun! If your hair is always dry I suggest you try the curly girl method! You shouldn't have to moisturize multiple times a day. Try co washing instead of using shampoo. My hair changed dramatically once I started doing the curly girl method and I'm 4a/4b. Look at " MohoganyCurls " for more detailed info.

I cut my long hair a couple of years ago and love the versatility of short hair. I've let the processed hair grow out and I'm now natural. My plan was to rock the natural for the winter and cut it again in the summer but you are really tempting me to let it grow long again. Decisions, decisions. That pineapple by the way.... hot!
