Awesome thanks 🎣🎣🎣🏕
Looks good !! Just what we asked for. Thanks !
Thanks for the demo. I will definitely add these to my box for my next trip to the Erie tribs.
Great egg fly
Great, thank you
Great videos! Also liked the one in the Squirmy Wormys!!
Squirmy has become the most productive fly I throw these days!
Nice colors
Going to twist some up for my erie tribs .. been using regular egg yarn never tried the estez… need to order some… pattern does look killer
Awesome tie! I also love the name :)
Can you do more fancy eggs please? Maybe an egg sucking leech?
Thanks
Excellent tutorial! Will definitely be tying these!
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for the info
Was there last Friday - Monday. We did very well.
Awesome! Early year this year. Hope they stick around for a while.
it looks interesting, I have to try it🙂
Great tutorial never eurod for steelies, caught em on a trad fly rod but sounds fun.
Thank You for sharing !!! Colors and profile look good and we'll give them a go next week. 👍
Thanks for the video. I tied a few over then weekend and went 1 for 2 on Monday!! Please share more fly tying ideos of your favorites.
Sweet! Glad they worked for you!
Cool looking pattern, Bryan. Been tying antron eggs and I'm thinking I'll try one of those with a tungsten bead tied into the middle as the yolk. 👍
Yeah... that would be cool!
Wow. This is a great video and super cool looking fly. Would be fun to try up in northern Minnesota off Lake Superior.
Congrats. I just did the drawing and you were the winner of the 6 Green Eggs & Ham. Send me an email (bryan_spinner@yahoo.com) and I'll get info to mail them to you. Thanks for being a subscriber and following our channel!
@@WhiteDogTrailCompany oh sweet!!! I sent the email. Thanks
I just tied a few of these up a few weeks back but just in pink. Haven't been out to try them yet. I have some yellow beads and ill add them to the pink estaz for the 2 tone.
Yeah... that'll work for sure!
Great pattern. They are super effective on our winter run fish in nz.
Awesome! NZ seems like it is amazing!
Yea, its not too bad. If you come over this way I'm sure we could find you a fish or 2!
Love the fly. Looks super fishy for the Erie Steelies!
They'll love em!
Hope this fly works as well as sexi stonefly and the peacock ice dub nymph. More fly tying videos please.
Yeah... I have to plan more of them!
Interestng pattern. Reaĺly windy and cold here today. Gonna fire up the wood stove and tie some of these up! Thanks. Also, planning on teying euro nymph rod on smallmouth this aummer and would like to see some patterns and techniques.
Nice!!!
Just so you know, I have not been getting notified of your videos.
Thanks
You have to make sure you click the notifications bell. Even if you are subscribed, you have to hit that bell to be notified when I publish videos. I just published one tonight as well (Steelhead Vol 3).
Love the video! Thank you for the stealhead fly!
Request: TJ hooker (barbless if possible). My local shop has these and they work great as a hybrid stonefly/ streamer. I want to tie my own.
Thanks
Nice! I'll check that one out!
I would love to see the stone patterns you use for steel
I have 2 fly tying videos of the sexi stone and the sexi stone bomb. They're in my fly tying playlist which is here. czcams.com/play/PLuLwf7ym7i7ZKJSrh7WP-pftvhmwIytMK.html
When you refer to spring steelhead season is it when the calendar hits spring or is the spring steelhead season sooner. Maybe now?
Hey Joe! Spring steelhead to me is when the snow melts and water temps start warming. As soon as the steelhead break out of winter mode and start getting more active and digging around, that is spring steelhead to me. This year, I would say it starts now!
Great tie. So if making unweighted, just completely make out of Estaz, just use more?
Yeah... you don't need to go as far to the back of the hook if you're not using a bead. Ultimately, you want it sort of egg shaped with a little opposite color on one end.
Steelhead flies. Also Euro and Indicator fishing comparisons, when do you each?
Yeah... definitely a good topic!
I’m certainly going to look into getting the supplies for this fly. Should work great for those Steelies that are either going onto the redds or coming off of them and dropping back. Now I need to ask you, have you tried other colors for this fly? I like the colors you are using but I always like to have more of a color variety in my steelhead box. Would you recommend some other color combinations to try? Thank you for this very nice flytying tutorial. You have no idea how easy you are making it for the beginner flytyers and the seasoned ones as well. Especially in what materials. We could spend alot of money just going to a flyshop blind. As always, thank you and tightlines to ya! 😊
My go to fly for years was a pink globug with a flame orange dot. I've also tied a lot of pink estaz flies. My box has pink, orange and chartreuse estaz. This fly and the pink glo bug are the ones that get used most... besides the pink squirmy of course 😂😂😂
@@WhiteDogTrailCompany Oh boy, there it is again! That’s it, I’m going to tie a few dozen of those wormy critters and they’re going in my steelhead fly box and regular trout fly boxes. There. 😛 😆
I tie the Magneto Stone on a Hanak 900 streamer hook with a Inverting bead for euronymphing steelhead, you should tie that one next.
I just looked it up... that's a cool looking fly!
@@WhiteDogTrailCompany it's easy to : )
Can you do the same fly with chartreuse eggstacy material?
I've never used the eggstacy material... but I'm sure you can. If it looks eggy, it'll get bit!
Saw you guys killing them in the video. Simple tie. I’ll try some.
Saw small stones everywhere last week. What sizes do you use?
Thank you.
That was a fun trip! The stones I tie are on a size 10 streamer hook.
Tie a black stone fly
I do have the sexi stonefly and the sexi stonefly bomb on the channel. I also created a playlist of all of the fly tying videos so you can find what you want easily. czcams.com/play/PLuLwf7ym7i7ZKJSrh7WP-pftvhmwIytMK.html
Please send me some crappie flies. Thanks
How about best streamers for early fishing big rivers in New England (Maine).
How about blue quill perdigon emerger
Streamers!!! Endless options! ❤
I'll check out the blue quill perdigon emerger. Thanks!
let's hit the DSR already....
Steelies are spawning and dropping back early this year. Sounds like it will be a shorter season. Better get at em soon!
