@@mayonnaise6964 Hello Mayonnaise. I am literally a 69 yr old man. Therefore, Deaky is in my age range and yes I did in fact go to a Queen concert in 1975 so TECHNICALLY I do know him. I am allowed to call DEAKY whatever I want to lmao, get a life Mayonnaise.
I think this song was the pinnacle of Queen's rock performance, everything here is perfect in terms of the power of feelings, the arrangement and the beauty of the performance
When Freddie sings "listen!".... then "all day long" with Deaky.... I just can't....❤ This is by far the most under-rated live song, this version by far!! I didn't realise how much I loved this song till this performance
I bought the first album on the day it was released (13th July) with record tokens, (remember them?) I'd got for my birthday two days previous. Yes there is still De Lane Lee Studios material unreleased, I know they had an understanding where all four of them had to agree before shelved material was released. Hence we had to wait decades for the release of the Hammersmith and Rainbow concert films.
@@barbaramaluck8124 of course not...brilliant solid bass player & songwriter;like Roger Taylor, every note/rest/beat in the right place....awesome band. Cheers for reply.
One of the best Song of the First rock period of Queen and their debut songs in an Amazin live performance at Rainbow theatre almost 40 years ago. The First Queen were so Epic, baroque, eccentric and really influenced by Led Zeppelin and Hendrix One of the favorite musicians of Freddie..
Johnnnnnnn no solo dessa música, eu simplesmente venero. A qualidade musical dessa banda ao vivo me espanta! Olha o áudio. O bumbo do Roger. Guitarra do Bryan. Majestoso o vocal do Freddie.
I was at both Rainbow gigs in74. Totally blown away by their sheer professionalism at such an early stage of their career. Loved the band from start to finish.
When I read that someone was at their concert, I sometimes feel so jealous that I almost cry. Yes, I know it's stupid. But I'm so sorry I don't have such memories.😘😘😘
I guess it must have been held in high regards by the band thenselves, as it was one of only a handful of concerts in the UK in 1976, it was also the nearset to me living in the North-East of England at that time.
Now yes, comment #77. I hope you are with us to wish you the best birthday in the world, I lack words to thank you for giving us so much art. You didn't just make music, you were music. God keep you always in his glory. Happy 77th birthday Freddie Mercury.
this reminds me that the album "queen II" has two sides one is white and the other is black (and the black side, all tracks are composed by Freddie) Just a theory...
I could listen to this 🎶all day long🎶

Deaky is actually really good at singing WOW
DEAKY’S BASS SOLO OH MY GODDD

Freddies performance is AMAZING, this has to be the best version of "LIAR". It has the energy that the song wants to express
Dude, the best Liar peformance is Oxford 1973 or Newscastle 79 2nd night !
The way John appears behind Freddie to sing at 6:15 is so funny

Been into Queen since 1975 and this is still my favorite era. And believe it or not, there is still unreleased material from that era.

7:30 one bass string is muted with a rag or rubber band to make the playing clearer
All the strings are muted, it's a big piece of foam that's under them.
