1973, I was a young lad when I discovered this amazing album, I couldnt stop listening to it, it was unlike anything I had ever heard. Now Im old , and when I listen to Queen, my neighbors listen to Queen.
I am right with you. IMHO, Liar is the best Queen tune ever, first heard in '74 in a club in Buffalo, NY called the Monte Carlo.
Far out, both of you !!❤😂❤
I love how Freddie looks and points at you when he says Liar!. Like, yeah, i'm a liar, i'll be whatever my Queen tells me i am

I don't care what anyone says. Freddie Mercury was gorgeous and had such a unique face. (:
Devon Marr
I've never heard anyone disagree with that. Freddie was gorgeous, throughout his entire life. Young Freddie was bombshell beautiful
Bar Anthony I had somebody tell me how ugly he was, and I'm just like nope. You're incorrect. Everyone I know likes people with more "conventional beauty". But I like when people are more unique, it's much more attractive.
Devon Marr
I have had the pleasure of reading so many CZcams threads with him being praised for his beautiful face, heart, mind, soul and music. Most woman find him very attractive. I've seen straight men write 'I would go gay for Freddie' Yes, he's gorgeous inside and out. Even my husband agrees, especially young Freddie. Some people didn't like the 80's Freddie but that's the first time I saw the man behind those legendary songs. However, young Freddie was yummier.
Devon Marr YASSS it’s mix between a masculine face and an adorable baby face idk how to explain this 😍
andi letri Each version/era of Freddie were unique in their own way and yet they were all still somehow “Freddie”. From his black fingernails and long hair days to his pale and thin disease-stricken days, he always managed to make me feel a lot of things. I don’t know how to explain it but what I do know is that there will never ever be another one like him :)

He sure did but offstage he was totally different. Very shy. It was the strangest thing. He was very self-conscious of his looks. I think he was beautiful. 🤩
It’s beautiful, isn’t it? 💖
Charisma, stage presence and artistic talent. He could write music, lyrics, play the piano like nobody’s business .. and sing. Truly one of a kind for the ages

It is a sweet moment to see John singing with Freddie. They bond in the songs either wrote/shared credit writing. As another commenter wrote, they shared similar musical tastes. In a funky dance tune video "Back Chat" from Hot Space (an album that did not do well then but some of us have a fondness for now because it was Freddie-John centric) you can see a moment of full blown admiration from John watching Freddie. Like I said, just - sweet.
Imagine you wrote "You're My Best Friend" but couldn't vocalize it and your lead singer delivered it like he did? Of course Deaky felt, as a songwriter, that Freddy immortalized him.

I'll never forget when Queens first album came out I was 12 years old. I loved their first album. They toured that year in the US, before many people knew about them, opening for Mott The Hoople. I was so lucky my brother took me to that concert. I'll never forget it and I'm 57 now. They were great, Freddie was great.
The Mott tour was in 74 after the release of the second LP. You must have been darn lucky cause they had to drop out after just 4 shows (May got sick). Aerosmith jumped in to replace them. Yeah, my memory is getting fuzzy too. Still have the stub. Oh and Mott blew them AWAY!
I'm 56 and I was obsessed with Queen back when I was teenager. I too saw them few times in the 70's
You are so lucky oh my goodness!!
@@pjeffries301 Mott blew whom away? Aerosmith? I can believe that. But Queen? Queen obviously eclipsed Mott easily, and even Aerosmith is unfit to share a stage with Queen. Steven Tyler couldn't shine Freddie's shoes.
@@robertorolfo I agree, Queen eclipsed Mott, but not the night I saw them. And Queen was terrific, don't get me wrong. Mott cleared off the stage and let Queen use the headliner lights and sound - Great stuff. Even without Mick Ralphs, Mott was one hell of a live band. Both Queen and A-smith went on to stardom after Mott University. Coincidence?

Fun fact(s), not only is Ray Foster not even a real person; but Bohemian Rhapsody isn't even the longest song on A Night At The Opera. It gets beaten out by The Prophet's Song which is 8 minutes and 24 seconds long, as opposed to Bohemian Rhapsody which is 5 minutes and 54 seconds.
