This is a short version of my How to Pop Shuvit Video. It is one of CZcams's new features for mobile users. Let me know if you guys want me to make a short version for all of the tricks or if you hate it. This is just a test to see what you guys think. Also, you can watch the full How to Shuvit video here: czcams.com/video/2BXzIWbSo-4/video.html
Short version has less chit chat, more info. Keeping it in bullet point helps people wrap their heads around it better 👌
So is this the shove-it or a pop shove it? It appears to be a shove it but your comment here officially got me confused. I know they’re very similar but bro I gotta learn this this summer!
Been looking for a channel like this thank you:)
to the people who are struggling: foot position is the key
Thank you
Dang landed my first shuvit thanks to this vid. Thx for the tips
Dude nice
That's awesome! Did you watch the full one?
Yes
Very helpful and I am starting to help my brother with it too 👍
I’m definitely gonna fall trying this, but I’m sure it’ll be worth it :)
Practice falling before you go for it. It could save you from getting an injury. 🙂
@@Skidish thank you for the tip!!!
@@Skidish ok how
@@EnzoPM skate towards the grass and les yourself fall over and learn how to get prepared for falling so it will hurt less.
@@saxenart hahah i wonder if people is gonna notice im falling on purpose lol. Thx for the tip
Pop shuv and shuv it , two tricks!!!
I can land a shuv it’s just I can’t land it while moving idk why
I'm sure you can. I find doing them without rolling much more difficult.
Rolling is way easier. When stationary you just strait " the way you're facing" when moving you have to jump forward and strait. A healthy mix of both.
try it fakie, u'll definitely land it
Dont just shuv straight back, but slightly forward as well through the length of the board if you wanna land a rolling shuv
I think it's cool and helpful it's less time consuming and tou can quickly wach and then practice it right after
I agree. I get a lot of comments from people saying they are too long. Hopefully the short versions will make them happy. Appreciate your support once again.
I landed this trick yesterday it felt so awesome
Congrats they are fun!
Ppl hate on shuvs but they’re one of my favorite lookin tricks when done right. I always tell my self to keep the board connected to my front foot while it spins and have flawless effortless shuvs everytime
Gonna finally land one today 💪🏾
I always taught people by just practicing with one foot. Just to get the rotation and timing down
Some says u need to actually jump forward in order to catch the board. Tried once, 100% effective. But I’m no good at consistency. LOL
Id say that is true if you are not popping the shuvit. Great tip!
I just found your channel and its my first week into skateboarding. I absolutely love how in depth the tutorials are and how effective they are. Amazing work man, keep it up :D
Really glad you are enjoying the videos. I have some good ones coming up. Thanks for watching!
Did u shuve it?!
Now time to try this on my 48inch longboard 😂🤣
No one seems to mention you need to make a small jump to the side - as your board ends up on a different line. All tuts miss this.
If you pop the board it will land on the same line, just takes practice.
one of the key methods in making this easy
lift up your front foot!! (istg lift it or ur board will spin wrong)
and commit
I learned to Pop Shuvit onto a curb before I could ollie one. You can get so much more pop and air with pop shuvits then an ollie when you are 1st learning.
They make it look so easy
Landed my first Shuvit today, this really helped me alot thanks!
Something that helped me is keeping my shoulders straight while jumping to catch the board
Great content! Ive seen you and Kenzie at the gv park :) so random that youtube would recommend your videos haha!
They be 👀👀😂😂
This is the only trick i was ever able to do
Excelent from Brazil!!
Dude thanks i landed it
To me the key was moving a little bit the center of my mass towards the back foot. When I started doing this the board stopped escaping on the side and stood right beneath me. This video seems to confirm it: I do see a slight movement towards the back to change the center of mass when doing the trick.
Eh the most important thing is to get comfortable with skateboard 🤤
I don't recommend putting your toe over the edge of the board or in the pocket like that. That causes the board to flip. If you move your back foot back further on the tail so that your toe doesn't hang over you get a flat pop shove it that won't flip over on you especially when you start trying to do 360 pop shove it
Yeah when I pop shuv I put my foot in the pocket a little further than half up the board when I pop. It helps me get good high pop too
Good advice. Do you ride loose trucks?
This tip from Daniel Stone is crucial. Back foot toes in the middle of the tail, if you hang your toes they'll try to flip, can this tip get pinned to the top?
That is brilliant.. I am still trying hard on my skateboard to stand an ollie.. it is so hard 😔😔
Just takes practice. Try a little every day and you will get it.
I can help if you want
@@EnzoPM yes .. I really want it...🙂
@@asmashakir9484 try to build confidence in jumping on your skateboard. Like literally just jump on it until you know how to land and then start trying tricks. Get protective gear
@@EnzoPM 👍👍✌️...
this is one of those tricks that looks so easy but are so hard to actually learn. i’ve been trying to lock down the front pop shuv it for at least 3 months, but still haven’t been able to get them consistently
I put my front foot slightly back(towards heel) and really try and keep back foot after ollie, level/flat when pushing it forward. Good luck
Practice with just a deck on a carpet or yoga mat...
We have the same shoes!
I just learned one yesterday
Sick illusion flip
I’m going to try it right now
GOOD !!!!!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Today I LEARNED
This was so amazing I pooped everywhere!
Nice!
Now Playing DC Talk “ Colored People” on Deadbull Radio.
I can do kickflip, varial kickflip, but when i try to do shove it, i cant, its like i was trying to do varial kick flip.
I think that is common. Try keeping your feet really flat on the board and as you do the trick. I have the same trouble sometimes. I just focus on keeping my feet flat and it help a lot. Let me know if this helps.
Same for me. I can do ollies, backside 180, heelflips... but this trick so difficult and dangerous at the same time, so easy to land wrongly and hit the ground
This reminds me of trying to do this trick in like 4 th grade lol
Good times.
I ride goofy so this looks really hard
My ankle got offended by this video so I couldn't finish
That's nice I'm trying to teach my daughter
That’s awesome 👏
I still can't put my back foot on the board and can't commit to it =((
Nice bro
Yes
But if you want to learn more just sit and try popping shuvit and there if you are comfortable on the deck you can do shove in standing position thanks
Some of those clips where pop shuvits am i right
You are correct haha.
@@Skidish Could you do a pop shuv it tutorial next?
Nice tutorial mate!!! I really love those short tuto 👌👌🔥
Ill post a few more of the short versions and see how it goes. Thanks for the support!
@@Skidish that s actually a great things for tuto I think 👌👌 Keep it up mate!🙏
Amen THANK YOU GOD ALMIGHTY FOR EVERYTHING TOU DONE TO OUR LIVES FOR ETERNALLY
🤭
I subbed
hell yeah!
Thanks for checking the short out. I'm trying out one of youtube's new short features.
Just curious where you guys are from? I'm getting Cali vibes, but Florida and a few other places meet the criteria haha
oooOOOOOHHHH. I was pressing up,up,square.
I have no coordination for this..but.. I'll try again.
thats pop shuv homie
😶
Thanks to these, I'd know like 20 different ways to faceplant into concrete, if I ever decide to get a skateboard.
I do it the other way round
i always land primo
Do you ride loose trucks?
@@Skidish yep
The full name of the trick is actually a backside pop shove-it ;)
Theres a difference between shuv and pop shuv
I like
Weird bu I got better at shovits by not lifting my front foot like a impossible but with out the board rapping around my foot
Hello do you push the deck down with your back foot before you scoop with it as well? I have been trying this for almost 3 weeks and couldn't scoop let alone land one... I am going crazy about not being able to do this...
Wow
Please do 360 flip
sometimes when i scoop the board it's gonna too away from me why ?
Mid 90s I was trying pop shuv over this little gap for like two weeks I'd land some but I broke like 7 boards, sent them all back just to see and got 5 new replacement boards. It was World and Girl and Zoo York that sent me boards back I can't remember who didn't Capitol maybe. Remember them?! Anyway I never broke another board on pop shuv again yet.
I'm surprised they sent you replacements. That is pretty cool actually. Maybe it was a time period where they were having trouble getting good wood. Just a theory. Thanks for watching!
I sell knowing that my mother will not give it to me: 🤡✊
there’s a condition for this trick you need to break your elbow first to learn this
WoW
Does the rear end of the board get popped against the concrete??? I’m trying to learn to Ollie very slowly but I’m wondering if I could also try learning this trick simultaneously
A tip I have for you is to have a carpet board (a skateboard without any trucks or wheels and you just keep at home and practice in your room) and just practice it on the ground. Another tip for Ollie's is dont slide your foot to far to the nose and slide it an inch or 2 behind the bolts.
I get really mad when I shuvit like IM TRYNA POP and my fkn leg just goes weak on the scoop
What if it goes forward and flies too far
Argh! I can't . ... Where do i place my body weight ? And does smoothie wheels help ?
easier than doing ollies
FS shuvit please
What are those Adidas Called?
👍👍👍👍👍
Y does it look so easy
I have do a lot of shuvits. Keep doing them often and you more comfortable with them. 🙂
Skibidi skating😊😊
where can i get those shoes, what are they called
Adidas "Matchbreak Super" Great skate shoes
What adis are those? Tia
I think nose shuvits are easier to learn. They were for me anyway.
What's that shoes name
Its a pop shuvit if it come of the ground guy
You are not wrong.
How do umaster it
Waiting for my attainment with Prince 👑. Not the symbol, and colors don’t exist just people. Hahaha 🤪
I couldn't land on both legs, I'm spinning board, but I`m always landing on front foot and put back foot on the ground. afraid...
Me too 🤣
Are you from Sc ? I noticed the second clip is from a park I go to in South Carolina
I'm not actually. I love that firelake park though... Its worth the 2 hour drive.
Skidish Skateboarding The one video I have posted on my CZcams channel was filmed there
Brady Craig I just checked it out. Really good edit!
When I try to shut it my board pops u p to much can anyone help me
Literally just do as the trick tells you to
These look like pop shuvits
Some of them are. Check out the full 10 min video for more info.
They don't tell you about how the skateboard moves like a foot to the side.
Pop shuvit
The intro was a pop shuv it
I can shove it for awhile now but I can’t pop shove it. What do I need to do? I can Ollie but for some reason I can’t pop the board to shove it.
I can do it staying still but when I’m rolling it really scary
im skating 9 months and still cant shuvit
Back in my day we called it a pop shuvit, when did it get called a backside shuvit!?
Its always been a backside shuvit. Just like nearly every trick, there are many street names for them.
My prob is my back foot can you help?😀
Yo girl got thunder
thighs my bro
