      Practice falling before you go for it. It could save you from getting an injury. 🙂

      I'm sure you can. I find doing them without rolling much more difficult.

      Rolling is way easier. When stationary you just strait " the way you're facing" when moving you have to jump forward and strait. A healthy mix of both.

      Dont just shuv straight back, but slightly forward as well through the length of the board if you wanna land a rolling shuv

    Ppl hate on shuvs but they’re one of my favorite lookin tricks when done right. I always tell my self to keep the board connected to my front foot while it spins and have flawless effortless shuvs everytime

    I always taught people by just practicing with one foot. Just to get the rotation and timing down

    Some says u need to actually jump forward in order to catch the board. Tried once, 100% effective. But I’m no good at consistency. LOL

    No one seems to mention you need to make a small jump to the side - as your board ends up on a different line. All tuts miss this.

      If you pop the board it will land on the same line, just takes practice.

    I learned to Pop Shuvit onto a curb before I could ollie one. You can get so much more pop and air with pop shuvits then an ollie when you are 1st learning.

    To me the key was moving a little bit the center of my mass towards the back foot. When I started doing this the board stopped escaping on the side and stood right beneath me. This video seems to confirm it: I do see a slight movement towards the back to change the center of mass when doing the trick.

    I don't recommend putting your toe over the edge of the board or in the pocket like that. That causes the board to flip. If you move your back foot back further on the tail so that your toe doesn't hang over you get a flat pop shove it that won't flip over on you especially when you start trying to do 360 pop shove it

      Yeah when I pop shuv I put my foot in the pocket a little further than half up the board when I pop. It helps me get good high pop too

      This tip from Daniel Stone is crucial. Back foot toes in the middle of the tail, if you hang your toes they'll try to flip, can this tip get pinned to the top?

      Just takes practice. Try a little every day and you will get it.

      @@asmashakir9484 try to build confidence in jumping on your skateboard. Like literally just jump on it until you know how to land and then start trying tricks. Get protective gear

    this is one of those tricks that looks so easy but are so hard to actually learn. i’ve been trying to lock down the front pop shuv it for at least 3 months, but still haven’t been able to get them consistently

      I put my front foot slightly back(towards heel) and really try and keep back foot after ollie, level/flat when pushing it forward. Good luck

    I can do kickflip, varial kickflip, but when i try to do shove it, i cant, its like i was trying to do varial kick flip.

      I think that is common. Try keeping your feet really flat on the board and as you do the trick. I have the same trouble sometimes. I just focus on keeping my feet flat and it help a lot. Let me know if this helps.

      Same for me. I can do ollies, backside 180, heelflips... but this trick so difficult and dangerous at the same time, so easy to land wrongly and hit the ground

    Mid 90s I was trying pop shuv over this little gap for like two weeks I'd land some but I broke like 7 boards, sent them all back just to see and got 5 new replacement boards. It was World and Girl and Zoo York that sent me boards back I can't remember who didn't Capitol maybe. Remember them?! Anyway I never broke another board on pop shuv again yet.

      A tip I have for you is to have a carpet board (a skateboard without any trucks or wheels and you just keep at home and practice in your room) and just practice it on the ground. Another tip for Ollie's is dont slide your foot to far to the nose and slide it an inch or 2 behind the bolts.
