Thank you, several weeks after release you are still somehow the only video I could find on the differences. Helped me decide between the 2nd Edition vs a discounted original.
Thanks for this, I knew the dimensions were different but couldn't visualize in my head how big the new one was. It seems like you definitely need to put it in a blazer or a coat pocket, or have to put it in a small bag or a sling?
Yes, the increased length would make it stick out of a regular back pocket. Since it’s meant to carry your passport I would recommend a deeper pocket or one that has a zipper. It just fits in my arcteryx hand zipper pocket not sure if the pocket size is different for sizes but it’s a men’s medium (gamma lightweight hoodie).
Hey, there actually is a little bit a difference in material. The previous version has a more sheen and smoother. The new generation, the leather looks a little more lifeless (I'm not sure if it serves any purpose). To be honest, I use the second version mostly because of that outside pocket to hold the passport while I'm clearing security and customs (The previous version I kept putting the passport away and kept taking it out which got weirdly annoying). The second version is a little bit longer and has more slots for cards if you using this for 2 people. The length also helps hold more cash if you travel with quite a bit of cash. I think the new generation is more practical in terms of usage but if you do not need that exterior pocket, don't need the extra card slots and prefer a smaller form factor, I'd get the first generation. I'd even check out the Bellroy travel wallet if I'm only carrying one passport.
If the 2nd edition didn't have the outer pocket, I would prefer the 1st edition as well. I think you're right, went on a few websites and the 1st edition not available. Will keep an eye out for you if I see one.
I made this video so people can decide on Version 1 or Version 2 of the portfolio because Bellroy hasn't made one yet. I didn't make this video to read features off a website for people who can't read well. If you have any value to leave in comments or have any constructive criticism to give, you are more than welcome. If not, I suggest you use the time you use to comment on youtube videos to pick up a book instead and learn how to read better.

Thanks Trey! Strange that no ones jumped on this 2nd edition yet. Glad my video could help out.
I concur. This was helpful. I’m sticking with my first edition.
I totally agree too!

Will either of them fit an International Drivers License?
The first edition is much better. Neater and fewer card slots. I've lost mine and am really struggling ti replace it now the second edition is out.

Is there space to fit a second passport within the zipped compartment? Thanks
For the 2nd edition. You can put a second passport comfortably in the right pocket underneath the spot for the primary passport.
the 2nd looks too big :(
Pathetic review. “I think” look at he features of he product on he official site before commenting!

You want someone to read off a website for you, when you could just do it yourself? Are you stupid?
