We live overseas. My wife travels alone for work a bit. But when I travel its always with the 2 kids and maybe my wife. So I am always traveling with at least 3 passports. Sometimes I take the kid's passport for their second country. 5 passports. Occasionally we have the visa for the country we reside in one passport and then a new passport as the old one has expired or is out of pages. That means at least two passports for each travels. My wife usually has her national passport along with her work passport. But even if I only carry one or two passports, I don't imagine using a passport wallet or organizer. A cheap pouch or even ziplock bag is plenty enough. Once the travel is done the passports are stored until the return trip. I like to seperate the money and cards, into different areas as Mark suggests. I do think a simcard holder is a nice convenience. And it is also always good to have at least 1 pen at the ready for custom forms and the like.

I've always felt the all in one travel wallets/folios are just too large to be practical for every day use while travelling. It's not practical to carry in a pocket so it almost requires a separate pack of some kind, at which point I'd rather not have to bring out everything for every purchase.

One thing most forget is a space for your boarding pass. When it comes to air travel it’s the 2nd most important document. Also, you’ll need space for things like vaccination cards, immigration documents and possibly photocopies of important docs. I say go for the travel folio if you’re a frequent traveler.

I have the Travel wallet for years now. Ok, its large, but it fits in the rear pocket without problems and the one thing I mostly like, still with 9 cards, cash, Sim, Simpick, the Stylus and instead of a passport the included little Notebook its unbelievable thin! Although my every day wallet it holded up very well, good work Bellroy!

I have the Travel wallet and it works perfectly for travel because it holds your passport, credit cards and cash. Some people complain about the size but it’s only about an inch longer than regular wallet which I can tolerate while on a vacation.

Some more great product's from Belroy and another great review from Walletopia. I might be alone in saying this, but I wouldn't mind learning a bit more about the channel itself and it's leather addicted host. Consider it for a future video and keep up the good work!

I think it would help if you would place or attempt to place these products in your front and back pockets to give us an idea of that fit. I wouldn’t carry a travel wallet unless it fits in my front pocket. Something in my rear pocket leaves it open to loss or theft. That’s my opinion.

I bought my Folio just before Covid struck. Goddamit. But it's perfect as an all carry travel wallet, passport, boarding pass, cards and dual currencies. 😊The quality is excellent, so much so that I bought the A5 notebook folio soon after. Got love the Bellroys, expensive but lovely

  • @yoanguila1
    @yoanguila1 Před rokem +2

Bellroy means quality but as a product…. All the travel folios are too big for every day use. Normal people put passports with boarding pass folded in it into backpacks/shoulder bags. When you are checking in airport personnel is reminding you every time you have to keep on hand passport and boarding pass. I can’t see how useful is adding an extra step like unzipping..
    Good video!

Please recommend a good passport cover.
Like the reviewer mentioned, we just need a sleeve for the passport to put in our front/side pockets, so the passport edges aren't crumped and or wet from our leg sweat walking around while travelling, or being dirtied from pocket lint, and maybe some side pockets to store some emergency cash/card (sim card slot is bonus). That's it. Small and compact. Not a wallet or folio where we will be exposing our passport when trying to take it out to pay for stuff.
We just need a compact cover for the passport with the above requirements I mentioned. Of course space to store a mini pen would be a bonus. And everything should at least be top slotted in (so your items don't fall out sideways when pulling it out. I have not find something remotely like this.
IF someone is able to find something like this, please share!!

An old-style plastic pencil case from the 70s would be just as good for a passport wallet. You can put a pen in there and a few other things. I don't know if they make those.

  • @TimRansome

I bought the folio and totally regret it. The production quality is great but it’s just not practical for me. I have dual nationality and so I bought it because it advertised capacity for 2 passports. It doesn’t have two passport sleeves. It has one and a generic ‘hold anything’ sleeve. I also have very young children and need to carry their passports. If u need to carry more than one passport, this isn’t the passport holder for you.
Also, the folio is SORELY missing a sleeve/ pocket on the outside. If your airline insists printing your boarding pass you have nowhere convenient to put it. A sleeve on the back would be super useful. And even then, it’s not big enough without folding it.
Oh, and I’ve NEVER used the pen. This is just not a selling point.
The only pluses of the folio are (i) it fits easily in your pocket and (ii) it’s great quality.
@Bellroy - please add an external sleeve and please make a proper space for a second passport.
