    This is such a clean setup. I love how you've configured the MC6. Thanks for the inspo my dude. Also, I'd love to hear a demo of it

    Would you mind showing a screenshot of the mc6 editor? I’m a bit stuck and would love to get your help on timeline and bigsky editing

    Does the ML5 only work with the morningstar controller or can it be controlled directly by the hx stomp?

    Hi! I'm still thinking of getting the MC6 and ML5
    I'm not quite sure what's happening. When you change presets
    the MC 6 controls both Midi pedals and Non midi pedals? because your drive pedals are always lit
    I can't tell
    Thank you for this video!

      Kind of. So yes the MC6 controls only midi enabled devices. Since none of my drives are midi, i send the audio through the ml5’s loops. And then i can bypass or engage the loops on the ml5 allowing the audio signal to pass through whatever is in that looop or bypass it. So you keep the drives on always, and the signal gets bypassed or engaged through the ml5. hope that makes sense

    Thx for sharing your experience.
    Which additional switcher do you use for the "bank down" and " bank up "?

    When you said you had the looper set up through the Timeline, you pointed at the Stomp and the Timeline didn’t switch to Looper mode from Tape. So am I assuming correctly that you meant to say the looper was through the Stomp?

    • @moyperez-cortez5952
      @moyperez-cortez5952  Před 10 měsíci

      Sorry, i see i did point at the stomp. No i do have the looper setup through the timeline. I don’t have an action to enter looper mode upon entering the looper bank in the mc6 or anything like that so there would have been no visual changes. but also, i’m pretty sure when i use the controls there are no visual changes on the timeline but the looper functionalities are instantly available either way just by having the midi cc commands.

    If you only have two pages set up per bank, How are you getting to the extra pages for the timeline/bigsky individual controls? I'm trying to replicate this, but can't seem to figure out how you are getting those additional pages. Would definitely appreciate some clarification there. Thanks!

    • @moyperez-cortez5952
      @moyperez-cortez5952  Před 10 měsíci +3

      They are bank jumps. So I setup separate banks with all my commands i use for each device. So it’s just a bank jump, and i think the BACK i have set to return to previous bank, second page

    Are any of your effects taking up blocks in the Stomp? And is the ML5 routed into the front of the Stomp and are the wet effects in the fx loop of the Stomp?

    • @moyperez-cortez5952
      @moyperez-cortez5952  Před 6 měsíci

      Not sure if i know what you’re referring to on your first question but i do typically run 8 blocks on the stomp. you are correct,yes , ml5 is in front of the stomp and also I do have the strymons in the effect loops

    • @ChesterCopperpot1985

      Thank you for the quick reply! I'm new to the Stomp so it's likely I don't know what I'm on about. From what I gather, if I place one of my outboard effects -- like a big sky -- in the fx loop of the Stomp, then I am able to move that inserted pedal inside the signal flowof the Stomp. Is it the case, however, that in the signal flow I am limited to only 8 blocks regardless if 1 or 2 of those blocks are outboard effects? For example: I can have an amp, cab, modulation, delay, pitch effect, boost, and dirt in the Stomp (dsp permitting) and then the Big Sky. That's 8 blocks. I wouldn't be able to add another outboard effect into that signal flow like a MOOD or ring mod or whatever, right? Or do outboard effects not count against the 8 block limit on the Stomp?@@moyperez-cortez5952

    • @moyperez-cortez5952
      @moyperez-cortez5952  Před 6 měsíci +1

      correct. you’ll have up to 8 blocks depending on dsp including a send/return block.

    How do you use the Protein with ML5 and midi when there’s two overdrive sides? I suppose you’ll need a workaround to properly utilize both sides.

    • @lcglazer
      @lcglazer Před 9 měsíci

      And why do you have two compressors on your board?

    • @moyperez-cortez5952
      @moyperez-cortez5952  Před 9 měsíci +1

      this version of the protein is switchable to trs to dual mono so each overdrive side is in their own loop in the ml5. I didn’t have that wired like that yet in this video as i had just picked up the protein but it’s wired that way now. as far as compression, I only have one compressor on the board. the only other dry effects i have are the protein, kilt, 1981 drv and ep booster

      @@moyperez-cortez5952 ah I couldn’t tell if that was ep boost. I thought it was sp comp

    Could you show on the editor how you were able to set up the same footswitches to scroll and bank up and down and how you set up the bottom 3 switches on the mc6 to control the stomp 1 2 and 3 even though you change from pedalboard mode to snapshot mode. You were able to use the same footswitches on the mc6 for both. I could only get it to work for either pedalboard mode OR snapshot mode. I cant get the mc6 to let me use the same footswitches for both pedalboard mode and snapshot mode. Plz do quick video

    • @moyperez-cortez5952
      @moyperez-cortez5952  Před rokem

      I could do a video later this week if needed but it’s pretty simple. Once you’re in the bank in your mc6 for the hx stomp, assigning footswitch 1 is CC#49 any value, footswitch 2 is CC#50 any value and footswitch 3 is CC#51 any value. Then you just assign the other footswitches to enter whatever footswitch mode you want the stomp to be in. All the modes are CC#71. Then you would just enter the value depending on what mode you want to be in. Value 0 = stomp mode. Value 1 = Scroll (scrolling through presets). Value 2 = Preset mode. Value 3 = snapshot mode. If a video is still needed or i misunderstood let me know.

    How did you get the controller to read the bpm for the mc6?

    • @moyperez-cortez5952
      @moyperez-cortez5952  Před rokem

      Just make sure your mc6 is updated and change the preset name to %BP and it will display the bpm readings
