Thank you for taking the time to post this. Good info.
Thank you for watching, I hope it helped!
Dude! Thanks so much for the shoutout â€Awesome job with this video, I will ABSOLUTELY be stealing some of your ideas right back haha
No problem bro, have to give credit where credit is due đđŒ
But yes please do, steal them all đ
Great video man! Appreciate the work you put into this, I love seeing how other people use their MC6 Pro. I feel like Iâm constantly improving my workflow on it, the possibilities are endless!
Thank you bro! Yeah, I feel the same way. Every time I see how someone else uses midi, I adapt some of their ideas to mine.
But if we arenât careful, midi could become sentient đ€Ł
We can let it become to powerful
This is dope. Thanks brođđŒđ„
No problem bro, thank you đ
Great breakdown!
Thank you
Very clever with the dry switch! I was trying to think of a way to go to "last used preset" or something similar the other day. I don't use any scroll settings at the moment so it won't work for me but thats still very cool! I'm subscriber 500 xD
Thank you! Yeah, I really wish there was a way for Morningstar to remember the last used preset you used. I donât think it would be hard for them to program that in. Almost like a kill switch. I think it would be super cool for breaks, and band cuts in a song. But I get thatâs probably a niche thing lol.
This was the only way I could think of, to make that work.
Also thank you so much for subscribing, and being the 500 th đȘđŒ
You are the real mvp đđ»
Can I connect an external tap tempo to the mc6 and send that tempo to the timeline ??? Thanks
Yup, it had midi in, and can pass midi thru if you are using another source for midi clock. But you can also add extra switches via that flex port and use that as a tap tempo. You just have to set it up correctly. Iâm not 100% sure how to do it
Hi. Is it possible to replicate the volume pedal with mc6 pro? How to achieve this? Thank you
Iâm sure you can with an expression pedal. But I think you would need something that controls volume or the ability to control volume, like in a hx stomp or something of that nature
@@anthonygroves16 I was thinking if it's possible to have thr UP/F preset to control the volume up when long press, then volume down for the DOWN/C preset. Have you done this or do you think this is possible? Thanks
You would have to use a LFO inside of the Morningstar for it control a volume sweep parameter. That would be the only way for it to do it smoothly. Otherwise it will be full volume, then no volume.
But yes if map 2 button to do a lfo up and a lfo down, then that could work.
@24:08 wouldn't the x8 multiplier make it slower? As in 472 x 8 = 3,776 milliseconds
Hmmm, now that you say that. That may be true. Iâll have to investigate, I may have had it backwards in my head the whole time lol
Thatâs a lot of jags swag. You live in Jax?
Not anymore, I live in the Tampa area now. But Iâm born in raised in Jax. Only moved to Tampa about 6 years ago now.
Unbelievable. Zero empathy đźđ on your side đ
I wish you've shown some action prior to the video. I'd love to see a sample of what you're talking about. Maybe you could've caught / educated some viewers such as me.
I've stopped watching after a while to write this comment in order to share some feedback. Hope it is considered as positive...
Gosh I've playlng for years now, I've used midi for my drum tracks even for orchestra stuff for my guitar recordings.
Sometimes write music using midi.
Yet I've got no idea after watching the first n minutes of your video. I played quickly till the end to get some clues, and no, no clues at all.
I had some ideas before starting to watch and now I'm totally confused. Maybe it's something totally different from what I imagined.
What is that thing you're doing, please I'm so lost đąđąđą
He uses midi commands from the footswitch to change settings of his other pedals. So the use case is more midi controller than using midi as writing musical information.
I appreciate the feedback, Iâm not exactly understanding what you are referring to. I thought it was pretty straightforward as to how Iâm using midi for my use. Which in this case is for my pedalboard.
I show plenty of examples and applications in this video. But if you wanted live applications, you could watch any of my videos of where Iâm playing in a service. Iâm using my midi controller constantly every week.
I hope that helps. Iâm not exactly sure what you are asking in your context. I know midi can ultimately do anything you want. But in this aspect Iâm just using it to control my pedalboard
