The beauty of your content is that 1) I have no expectations, 2) it's surprising, 3) it's motivating and 4) it doesn't matter where it comes from. It seems like the stuff you enjoy doing and documenting, I enjoy watching, whether than was from an office or not. For more than 3 years now already.
Wasted money? Perhaps, but I'd rather say "invested" money. The experience you gained from it and that's much more valuable. Keep going.

This year thanks to you and some other creators inspiring me, I decided to go from couch to marathon in one year. I’m 26 so I thought 26 miles would be a fitting goal to hit before I turn 27. So far I’ve done a 5k, will be running a 10k at the end of April, a half marathon across the country in Chicago in June, and ending the year with a marathon in October. I legitimately have started from scratch and am super proud of the progress I’ve already made. I’ve lost ~15lbs and am up to 7 mile training runs. It may not be the most exciting story but 2023 for me has been a very different year and I’m so excited for the rest of it and the many many miles ahead of me.

@@kamillaskowski9492 thanks for the heads up. I’ve been pretty aware of my body so far and not pushed too hard. As the miles ramp up I’ll be sure it keep that in mind. Trying to do it in half of year seems pretty brutal. I’ve been keeping to a pretty consistent but gradually increasing training plan so hopefully it’s doable in a safe way. Hope you stay healthy!

@@bendoherty3129 it’s going great! Had to take about a month off due to a calf strain this summer, but I’m back at it and gearing up for the marathon! It’s getting close and the reality is setting in. I’ve now lost 45 pounds so far this year! It’s my first time weighing less than 200 pounds since I was 16! I still have my two longest training runs coming up before I start tapering for the race, but it’s been quite the year!

    Hi Jonne ! 😉
First of all I have been a huge fan for many years, I really like your content and I keep following you in your adventures.
A few weeks ago you asked if there was anyone who is going on an adventure or doing a challenge, so you can document them. I’m sure you already received a lot of great ideas.
But my girlfriend, our 9 months old puppy (Pinky) and I, are planning a bikepacking trip in Morocco, beginning the 16th of October and lasting around one week. Last summer we spent 1 month bikepacking from Greece to France. During this month we managed to raise money to donate 1 bike to @worldbicyclerelief.
But this time we would like to have a more personal impact, so our idea was to cycle trough the north of Morocco (the exact route isn’t planned yet). And connect with the people there by giving them a sort of lucky charm : a lavender fish. This to let people know we think about them and to show that sometimes a little gesture of kindness can bring people together.
Why a lavender fish ? It is because my family has a little lavender field in the South of France and they use it to create a lot of different products. My favorite one is the lavender fish which reminds me of home. On the back will also be an inspirational quote.
By the way ! I’m Dutch and Pinky and my girlfriend are Frenchies.
    Hope you like this idea,
    Ophélie, Pinky and Miró :)
(Ps: I sent you some photos of Pinky via your email and via our insta : mirophelie)

Hey Jonne, I am sorry to hear that you have to give up on your office. It sucks...I know it out of my own experience.
You seem you've been very ambitious with the office...maybe too ambitious, wanting it to be perfect asap, spending so much money, energy and time into it?
I am not here to roast, but telling you that I've been there as well and wanting everything asap. It taught me a lesson and now I am confident to say that I am starting my own business in May (maybe I am just faking my confidence, yeeeep). But one thing I can tell you for sure: I have been watching and rewatching your videos over and over again during the last few months, and you are definitely one reason why I am confident to start my own business and why I started to workout more again (feels good!). Therefore: thank you!
Back to your story: would have liked to see your work and officebuilding as well, maybe you have enought footage to make a video of it and gets you more fews for woodworkers and craftsmen like me as well.
Apart from that: ever consideret reaching out to the big companies, such as National Geographic, Men's Health or Red Bull? I guess you could write and provide great stories and footage, especially the arctic expiditions. Just a thought.
Other than that, if you ever come to Austria (Vienna) again, let me know and it would be nice to go for a hike in lower Austria.
    All the best,
    Philipp

I have been thinking of taking a bike ride from Chengdu China to Emei mountain about 100km away. To make it more interesting I have been considering using one of the shared bikes (that you scan to unlock and they are not nearly as fast as a regular bike), sleep in a hostel in the night, the next day try to run to the top of Emei mountain (usually takes two days to get up whereas one night is spent sleeping in some monestary on the mountain) but my goal would be to make it up in one day (it is about 60-70km from the bottom to the top), sleep at the top of the mountain and take some great photos of the sunrise then take a bus down and ride back to chengdu on that third day.
I realize this is in China and very far away from Europe (I am from Sweden myself but has lived in China for the past 10 years). If that is something you would be interested in joining or documenting together I am all for it.

I obviously appreciate the outdoor adventures there, but beyond the physical performance, it's above all your storytelling and your ability to transforme an ordinary life into an adventure that I love in your videos. There are plenty of accounts with performances, races at the other end of the world but your videos are really different ! I also want to thank you for your "call". Not to answer it but it reminded me that it's something I want in my life : more outdoor adventures. I'm quite unfit, I don't have the profile of an adventurer, I don't really have skills to do that XD. But it reminds me that if one day I want to have adventures too, it's up to me to create them, and I have to work for. So thank you for the inspiration and lots of good vibes from France for the future !

I have been in my business for 30 years now, and I continued to add more pieces to my puzzle, and in that expansion I lost watching really mattered and I too am about to strip down elements to make it simple again. This simplicity allows us to work, harder and smarter, knowing what we know and allowing in this complacency and familiarity to drive us to leverage time and effort. I know that I found you through the one you did about Casey Neistat, I wonder if you recognize that this is very similar to Casey‘s attempt to create a studio when he should’ve never bothered with that, and it was not where his heart was, but it is natural to want to take your business in the direction of a business but that’s not the way it looks for what you guys do It has a different appearance, and it does not involve being in a building.

Really well said… it’s a tricky game “CZcams”, especially if not feeling creative and on point. (Especially with the pressure of having to make it with your big audience). Good to see you back..

Thank you. For the transparency. actually, the last video I saw at yours was when you just got the building and you were making your plans. Life gets in the way and you get too busy for the things that made you successful. Sometimes expansion does not happen on the outside yet this outside expansion sometimes cost so much that it forces the inside to expand and now you are larger. this experience will definitely be the reason you get back to work by without worrying about worrying about it. You’re one of my favorite contact creators and you inspire me into trying to keep up with my blog. I’m 50 years old so it’s kind of like you’re a son to me lol and I like to see you grow, good luck on the next chapter and I will try to pay more attention to the updates

I can relate to plans falling through. I had plans ten years ago for where I would be in my life now. Things don't always work out as planned but it's not all bad. Sometimes what you have planned might keep you from finding something great. Sometimes you need to lose something that matters to you to realize what it truly meant. Life is what happens to us while we are making other plans.

Your videos have shown me a different side to creating challenge based videos, thank you so much all the efforts you put in to create fantastic content :D! Prior to last year July, I hardly knew how to swim, as my couch said to me, it looked like I was fighting with the water. But I saw the video made by Kara and Nate about swimming Alcatraz and I immediately set a goal to do a similar challenge. So since last year July I have been training to do the Freedom Swim from Robben Island (where Nelson Mandela was once imprisoned) to Bloubergstrand (Cape Town). Although the challenge is only between 7-9km swim in the ocean but it is known to be one of the toughest challenges in its category due to the extreme cold. But nonetheless we live for the thrill of life. If you would be keen, it will be a great privelege to meet you and make something together. All the best!

A suggestion for potential content can be Orienteering with a compass and a map. There are cool competitions, it gives a lot of adrenaline, is really accessble to a lot of people and this might be also for people who fall under your target audience.
