great content man
I just purchased this as my first lens for vlogging and filmmaking and this is exactly the review that I was looking for. Thanks so much!
6300 squad! This was a great video! I have an 18-105 and am looking at this lens. Great to see another smaller channel with amazing quality. Keep it up!
Thank you!
You are fun to watch man, keep up the good work!
LMFAO this was hilarious and also really well made, love the pauses and the many fishes. Keep it up man, randomly found this video and this quality is crazy good
Glad you enjoyed! :)
Great review man! Definitely convinced me to get this lens. I’m going to be using it on the Sony ZV E10 for vlogging & filmmaking. I also love the energy of your videos as well! You make the videos fun & entertaining to watch! Subscribed ✅
Very genuine reviewer - your channel growth is imminent. Keep up the great content! Cheers from Canada
Thank you !! It's time to make this a full time thing :)
Awesome review. Was a tad on the fence about making the purchase but after this, it is a no brainer. Great video!
Thanks. Would you recommend a filter?
I love this channel, the best reviews
That was a great review. I love your energy. Btw, have you tried using that lens on a full frame Sony camera?
The photos you get out of your a6300 are amazing. I couldn’t see myself needing anything else for a long time.
Thanks! I agree, use it for the times I do clients work aswell. I'm going to buy a 2nd camera soon, but only because it would help me sooo much to have 2 cameras for creating these videos. Maybe another a6300 lol
Very helpful to decide what should be my next buy. Thank you man
Thanks for the review. I think I will put this on my list.
Love your vibe bro... Keep bringing us content that is equal to a lot of fishes :-D
Hahahaha I'm on it!! I will bring you guys content that is equal to a lot of fishes!
thank you for the review.
Personally, would you pick this or the Sigma 16mm f1.4? They are about the same price on the used market.
Very helpful video man! Well done !
THANK YOU!!! BEST REVIEW OF A LENS EVER!!!!!!💯 I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHICH LENS TO GET AND YOU'VE HELPED ME DECIDE.
My pleasure!
Bro this lens or sigma 16-mm which one batter for wide angel and vlogs ?
thanks bro! btw, what kinna ND filter do you use? I get lil vignetting on edges on 10-11mm? How can i solve this?
how is the sharpness through the image at multiple apertures? ive seen some super sharp at the center but the edges are extremely soft..
Nice video!! I have a question, could you pls suggest me a lens for my inflight reviews videos that I do? The things that I particularly shoot are seats, amenities, food, cabin, overall ambience and loo review, pretty much as other inflight reviewers. I’m struggling to decide on a lens which works out well and can be used for close objects videos with focus and not blurring. Also, the light is a primary aspect as night flights have generally low light in the cabin and day flights hv plenty of light pouring through the windows.. just wanted to know which lens are recommended for these kind of videos. Some people suggested Song 10-18mm wide angle, not sure if this can focus on close objects enough and produce sharp videos; and some suggested for Sony 50mm macro, again not sure if this is ok for general cabin video and if it can handle low light. FYI, I use Sony a6400. Thanks!
Please can you tell me if this lens is absolutely silence at video..? ( lence motor make noise at autofocus ..? ) Thank you
Love your authenticity man! keep up with the videos, I would love to see some photography process videos!
THank you! Like lightroom videos?
THAT ICELANDIC GUY. What you look for when you’re taking photos, shadows, people, buildings, light etc and then how you edit them in light room? Kinda like a field day experience/vibe
@@johnszandala3280 Love the idea, I'll put it on my big list of videos to make :)
THAT ICELANDIC GUY. Looking forward to it! You’re a legend ✌🏼
Thanks for the great review!!! Please can you tell me what the backdrop color of the wall is?
i dont say this often but wow you have got to be the funniest photography/videography youtuber i've come across, thank you for the great vid!
thanks again!! :)
Very nice review. I have mine for almost two years now and it's been great. Just checked and the price is still high!
yea it's a great lens and it's still expensive lol :)
Nice review. What lens did u use for the presentation?
thank you so much for your info. It really helped me to make the decision.
You make me feel so proud having my Sony a6300! great vid man! btw, what is that mic you are holding?
Thank you! And yea no need to switch the sony a6300 is the tiny beast. It's the audia technica aaarg can't remember the exact model. Should be linked in the description tho :)
Hi from the UK - my last week in the EU :-( sad week - but this video made me smile.
Hey! Where are you going? Happy I could make you smile :)
Would love to see an update of this lens compared to the new Tamron 11-20mm!
I like your review! And the sound effect. SUBSCRIBED it!!! Please tell me the soundeffect off the from the exposure ("click click click...boom") where did you get it? from youtube ? Can you tell me name of the sound and where I´d get it?
Keep on uploading man!
YESS!!!
Hey man, just ordered a Sony ZV-E10 and think I'm going to pull the trigger on this shortly, thanks to this review. Appreciate the 'vlog' style footage, thanks man!
That’s the setup we use with this lens do it!
on witch setup is this beeing filmed ..? witch lens end witch camera :)
I just picked up the a6400 to up my game a bit and I'm stuck on which lens to go with for my vlogs...this one, or the 16mm Sigma 1.4. Your video just made the decision for me. Thanks so much for the awesome content. Keep grinding my man!👍
Thanks! Just picked up the a6400 aswell. Can't wait to see if it's any better then my old a6300 :)
@@thaticelandicguy Congrats! Looking forward to some videos on it!
I'm a total noob to photography and cinematography, and bought a Sony FE 24-240mm because I thought it would be really versatile. Unfortunately it weighs like A LOT. Would this be a better fit for me and my Sony A7c while hiking and shooting shots of myself in nature?
I’ve been considering this lens for sometime but for 850 for a f4 OSs 😩😩 for 8 focal lengths. You can get a sigma 16 and 30mm 1.4s for less. All n all great video the photos look sick. For vlog lens it is nice shot tho What lens are you filming with for the headshot portion of the vid?
I know the price is a bit steep. I have Sigma 16mm and it's awesome. But yea, I love the 10-18 ,it's served me very well. I used the Sigma 16mm for the portion when I talk :)
Is it still good in 2021? is it also compatible with the zv-e10? thanks!
This is the best lens you can get for Sony a6xxx line! It's always sticked in my camera for films or photos!
Yea I love it!
Will there be any kind of vignette in the footage while filming ?
At 5:14 this is already the best and most informative review I've seen about this lens. It really shines through that you've used this lens a lot! Great video, thank you so much! :D
Thanks for watching!
I don't even shoot with Sony yet remained till the end of video. Love the content! 📹👍I know a great CZcamsr when I see one 🙏
Thanks Thomas!!
I will get this lens soon and you review helped a lot thanks
Awesome 😎
Im really thinking about buying this one! Looks great!
Have you bought it? If I may ask.

@@HolaJulen Thank you for answering.
Watched this video two times, and so many other videos on this and other channels. Going to get this lens as the first one to replace my GoPro 7 camera footage. I think this will be great and versatile lens.
I just found you. The review is very useful. I really like your style.
Great video would love to see some of your travel videos. Regards Tim. Blackburn Lancashire UK
thanks!
awesome video! ive got a a6000 and been looking for a wide lens for a while
just found one for sale used, might go for that :)
liked and subbed!
Well done and informative video . . . but . . . please show more photos and videos of your wonderful city Reykjavik and beautiful Iceland! Thanks for sharing.
I heard these lenses can come in decentered, has that been the case for you?
did you use a gimbal at 6:26 ? or some kind of stabilization effect when editing? :)
Nope only hand held and then slowed down ☺
@@thaticelandicguy nice!
Would this still be ideal to buy even if I own the 18-105mm? Current kit is Sigma 16mm, Sony 18-105mm, and Zeiss 24mm.
if you have the 16mm sigma then maybe not, but gettign that 10mm is pretty sweet tbh :)
thank u for this video!
Thanks for dropping a comment!
This lens "packs a lot of thunder". Good enough for me; I'll buy! Thanks!
Thanks for the review dude. Its a tough call these days between this for the extra wide and the sigma 16mm f1.4 for the better light... but good to have choice right. Hello from UK btw 😎
yea lol. the sigma is great btw!
Hey man! Im from indonesia and i found out your channel and its really good and funny! Shit i love it! Just keep uploading and you will growing really fast!
Thanks!! :)
Thanks for the review
Any time! Thanks for watching :)
Is this sharp at 18mm end of the lens?
Hi! I love your videos. I am looking to buy the a6600 tomorrow. Would it possible to know which lens would you go for in terms of photography/videography? I'm battled with the 10-18mm and the 18-104mm f4... both are good but only have a budget for one. :(
I love your content. Looking forward to your next videosssss.
If you can only get one I would get the 18-105 tbh - that ws my first lens and it is more versitile :)
Thank you bud! Getting them tomorrow. So excited hehehe
@@thaticelandicguy I bought it already! Thank you for the recommendation. Would you mind sharing with us your settings for photography and videography? I love the content! Keep it up.
What about the Tamron 11-20 f2.8? Some say it is even sharper and better and many ways
I was looking for a lens that is equal to many fishes and finally! :D Just kidding, ofc. Good review, thanks.
hahah it equal to many fishes lol
Thanks for this review. This lens was next to the 1670 z f.4 my first choice for the A6500. I still enjoy using it on my A6400.
Many have forgotten it because it is an older lens.
Many have also made them bad on the Internet. I rather think it was the price.
I have never regretted buying this lens. In addition to the Sigma 16 f1.4, it is the first choice for a wide angle on the APSC camera.
I agree the only negative thing is the price tag really. The lens is fantastic. Love it and use it so much. THe simga 16mm is a beast to, love it and it's pretty cheap (for lenses lol)
THAT ICELANDIC GUY.
Yes, that‘s Right 👍
I use the Sigma 14-24 2.8 on my A73 also ... it‘s also a very very Sharp and fantastic Lens 🤪😊👍
@@alexandrah.4244 Is it a FF lens?
THAT ICELANDIC GUY.
Yes... but you can use it on APSC also... but it‘s a little bit Heavy on APSC 😳
@@alexandrah.4244 Cool! Thanks for the info :)
Awesome video. Please does this lens work with A7iii?
Yea it's an e-mount lens so it works, but it will crop in. So you wont be using the full sensor
Hi,thanks for the video.
I also love this lens for many reasons (image quality, weight, etc).
Bye!
Super nice lens for sure :)
Purched new lens. What is reason corrners are dark at 10mm and 18mm. How to correct it. Is manufacturing defect..
Hi all, i don't know why my 10-18 is not sharp @ 18mm but @ 10 is ok. Anyone has the same issue like me? Tks!
This review deserves very many fishes, cheers!
Hello.. I'am your new subscriber from Indonesia.. very nice to watch ur videos.. hopefully one day I can buy that lens..
Refreshing video for a change..
Thanks!
I have a Sony 18-105 lens and a 35 1.8, I want to decide on another, Sony 10-18 or Sigma 16 1.4?
For general photography Sigma 16 f/1.4 is good, for enjoying ultra wide photos 10-18 is better, tamron 11-20 is also sharper but its image rendition especially out of focus areas is not good.
Instead get Samyang AF 12 f2 & Sigma 56 f/1.4 to complement your kit.
is it sharper than 18-105?
So, for video traveling which lense you prefer? FYI, I have a Sigma 16mm, and yesterday I just bought a Sony 18-105mm after watching your video :))
Then you are pretty much set man. The 18-105 is a killer. For travel it stays on my lens so much. And then you have a slightly wider lens with f 1.4 :) But then again tthe 10-18 is a fantastic travel lens. Small and ultra wide.
@@thaticelandicguy Well noted, thanks man. Cheers from Indonesia! :)
I love this lense, i still got it even though im currently on full-frame(a7iii).. Im waiting for a better Sony aps-c camera, maybe then i will get some use out of it..
Better then the a6500? What's there not to like about it? Not arguing just curious on your thoughts. I know the a6500 is weather sealed, has all the apsc tech sony can throw at it, and is amazingly light and compact for having the ability to do professional photography work on it.
Agree
And kinda agree with you, but then again i love how small the sony aps-c cameras are and they do pack a lot of thunder. I use the old a6300 for all me vids + the times I do client work for both film and photo.
Question, you said it's a 15mm - 27mm for your camera...but arent you using a apc sensor and it's a apc lens?
That's what got me confused too...
Still an excellent lens. The best thing about it is that it pairs perfectly with the PZ 18-105mm f4 OSS. They are a very practical, and very versatile couple of lenses.
The picture a 3:19 🤩😳😳😳🤯😎🙊💥 Wow!!! Awesome! Can't stop looking at it!!
Thanks a ton!!
My favorite photo of 2019, it's so good :) Thank you !!
Thanks for the review! It’s pricey but seems worth it for the real estate gigs I’m getting.
I like your channel. The review is great. bought your pack.
Hi! I just found out your channel after looking for my next Sony lens. Nice review man! New subscriber here. Just wondering, I saw your finger tattoo, are you a magician?
haha you noticed it :) Yea I used to be a working magician for a long time and that was my biggest passion untill I found photographty :)
Only 3min into the video and you already made me laugh a few times...! You're funny! 😀😀😀
Hahah happy to have you here! 😊
Man! You are hilarious!!!!!! Great Vid !
Anyone have any thoughts on a more budget friendly wide angle lens? (Oh, and, loved the video. Thanks for sharing. :) )
check the sigma 16mm that's a super lens too!
You should make review that lense with a6600....Ibis+oss....especially for video....
so true!
Just picked up a new one from my local marketplace for $300 and im stoked!
Definitely equals to many fishes :)))🤘🏼
It so does!
nice review. thanks
Thanks for the comment!
broooo thank you for the video! I love my sony a6300 but the wide angle is nice!!
Glad you like it!
Those sample photos look soooo good. What an amazing lens. Thanks for the review!
Unfortunately, I couldn’t make good use of mine before I went in for sigma 16 f1.4 and till now, my 10-18 is still resting in my bag
The sigma 16mm is a beast tho
@@thaticelandicguy I totally agree

🙏🏻
Hey can I borrow that lens bro? Ill take a ride to Iceland 😉
You should check out Tamron 11-20.
Yesss!
WOOPWOOP!
sigma 16mm vs this 10mm for vlogging, to much difference?
This one is better for vloggong imo, both wider, more versatile and has oss
Somehow your accent almost feels Spanish haha
Liking your style of videos!
Lol haha it's a mix of icelandic english accent and the swedish english accsent. I'm from Iceland and I live in sweden atm.
Hello!! Can you actually tell me how much does this lens cost? I'm from India and the prices here are fairly unreliable you know!!!
Ask google my man :)
