When picking a seat I consider the following factors:
    - I don't sit near the engines to avoid getting penetrated by shrapnel in case of the uncontained engine failure
    - I pick the seat next to the aisle so that in case of emergency nothing blocks me on my way to the exit
    - but I don't pick a seat right near the emergency exit as there were cases of doors opening mid flight, I don't want to be too close to it
    - it's hard to pick whether I want to be closer to the front or rear because it depends on the type of the accident. Being in the back is bad because during the crash landing it will be contaminated with burning fuel. But in case of the runway excursion or overrun if the plane hits something from it's front I'd want to be as farther behind as possible.

....everything you said is right, so I'd conclude two to four seats in front of the first row of turbine fan blades, on the aisle, and in the economy plus seats at least!...(or any business class seat if I'm lucky enough to get upgraded!)

I mean if you have flown more than zero times, you'd know you don't choose your seat when boarding the plane, you choose it while booking the ticket or at check-in, if you get to choose at all

Door exits over the wing roots are good too.

I realize that they are auto-generated, but the closed captions on this video had me wondering what on earth you were talking about as 'seat' was written as 'seed.' Not to worry, I knew it meant seat.

The IBM "viavoice" software driver is essentially the same since 1998. It will incrementally get better over the decades.

I was going to say the worst seat on an airplane to be is in the pilot's seat. If one is inexperienced, then that is the worst seat to be in. Luckily, most pilots are experienced, and are vetted by the airlines and regulatory agencies.
