Here I am showing how the remove the rear end on a Third Gen Chevrolet Camaro. In this video we are removing the stock 10 bolt in preparation for the install of the new Hawks 8.8 and new suspension coming in the next couple camaro videos. How do you identify which rear end you have? Everything I see says to look for a number on the passenger side axle tube. If mine ever had a number, it's gone now.

Looks really good man, I can’t wait to see the new one in there. Are you going to sale your after market panhard and lower control arms and stuff your taking off and replacing? My 84 Z28 is all stock in the rear and I’ve been thinking about replacing mine also.

I'm surprised you didn't go with a rear caliper set up

I did. I have the wilwood 4 piston disk brake setup what you are seeing on the rear end is the internal parking brake shoes. It's a top hat style rear disk brake setup.

Is it really worth swapping the rear ends? I've heard the late 90ds cars rear ends are nit very tuff either

Yes if your going to have any sort of power over stock I would suggest a better rear end.

Are your fuel lines ran on the passenger side?

No fuel lines on drivers side and rear mounted trans cooler lines run on passenger side
