I bought this press and for a while they weren’t coming out the way I wanted but after more tries I love this machine I don’t keep it hi and press as many times as I want so there not that thick and I finished them on the grill and it’s very fast and I’m not tiered of using the roller it is a good product you just need to keep trying till they come out the way you like them.

I bought one for my mom. It does take awhile. Certainly faster using the griddle and having two or three on at a time. I also don't think it gets hot enough. That is probably why they don't look appealing.

When making flour tortillas you're only supposed to flip no more than 2 times, otherwise they will become hard.
Used the press for awesome looking tortillas but use a "comal" to cook them, they will be very pliable and delicious 😊

This demonstration shows limitations of this machine. The tortilla or roti should get brown spots after properly roasting. This one created quite thick roti. It did has limited high temperature. As a result after roasting for 2 minutes it still looks need more roasting. If you continue more roasting, it will become stiff chips. Not a good design to make good roti!

Looks cool but can't beat my double wide comal in a speed test. I got my nephew on the press and I'm on the comal fill up the tortillero in no time! Plus the tortilla press takes up less storage space. Thanks for the video anyway!

When I heard there was a quesadilla machine I just couldn't believe it. Who would buy it. Just use a regular griddle. I feel the same about this apparatus.

  • @mygoldfishrocks

Doing it all with one machine actually slows you down, with a Comal and a press you keep up a steady stream of product.

Roti does not look soft at all. Looks leathery & dry.
    Roti too thick.
Takes too long to cook one roti.
No brown spots on finished roti.
Such rotis will have a leathery texture while eating.
Thank you for your review. Now it is clear why one does not need such useless appliances in the kitchen.
